Chapter 419 - Chapter 420: The Miracle of the Three Forces

"Elite Glacia, how did Glalie manage to bind Ice-type energy within a fixed space and prevent it from dissipating naturally?"

Now that Glacia had returned, and Yuli had volunteered to prepare a meal for her and Rex, he finally seized the moment to ask the question that had been lingering in his mind.

"It's really not some high-level technique," Glacia replied with a sip of the sweet honey drink Rex had served her. "You know Hoenn's climate is generally quite hot, and I specialize in Ice-type Pokémon. That means I've always been fighting from an environmental disadvantage."

"So after arriving in Hoenn, I started training Glalie to consciously control the Ice-type energy it releases. At first, it couldn't do much—but gradually, it discovered how to stabilize that energy in the air."

"As time went on, Glalie was able to influence a wider and wider radius. Eventually, it formed something akin to a controlled cold domain."

Glacia's tone was humble, but Rex knew full well how difficult that process had to be. She had just shared something that clearly touched the core of her entire training system.

After all, this wasn't just about training a powerful Pokémon—it was about engineering an environment where a Pokémon could thrive, even in adverse conditions.

Watching the battle between Glalie and Landorus had already given Rex inspiration. At first, the difference in power had been overwhelming. But once Glalie's frost domain took shape, even Landorus had to take the battle seriously.

And now Rex saw potential for applying a similar idea: his own Politoed might be able to create a rain-enhanced field. If it could sustain that domain and amplify its own strength within it, even a water battle far from the sea could be turned in his favor.

"Thank you, Elite Glacia. Your insight has really broadened my perspective."

Rex stood and gave her a formal bow, genuinely grateful.

"There's no need for that," she replied with a small smile. "I only offered you an idea. Whether it works depends entirely on your own effort."

Before Rex could respond, Yuli's voice called from the kitchen, "Elite Glacia, Rex—dinner's ready!"

The two of them turned to find a full meal prepared, and the aroma alone was enough to make their stomachs rumble.

"This is delicious, Yuli! You're quite the chef—unlike me. Even simple dishes end in disaster when I try."

"You're too kind," Yuli blushed. "Compared to your accomplishments, my cooking is nothing special."

The dinner was warm and pleasant, but it was what happened the next morning that truly marked a turning point.

Under the bright sunlight, the air at Rex Farm—already purified by Shaymin—was crisp and refreshing. After a full night's rest, Glacia felt reinvigorated. She took to the skies with the Forces of Nature—Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus—on her next mission: restoring barren land across Hoenn.

After the events of the previous day, even the unruly Thundurus and Tornadus didn't dare act out in front of her. They dutifully followed behind Landorus like subdued schoolchildren.

Landorus, for its part, had developed a deep respect for Glacia. Though it preferred harmony over violence, it admired strength—especially from someone who had faced it as an equal.

Glacia rode a Pelipper—not an Ice-type, but a capable flying partner. Since most Ice Pokémon couldn't carry passengers, she'd chosen a Water/Flying-type and trained it to master Ice-type moves. In fact, her Pelipper was more proficient in Ice techniques than Water ones.

Their first stop wasn't far from Slateport City—a barren plain that had begun to show signs of desertification.

Unlike the fertile lands surrounding Rex Farm, this area was scarred. Patches of land had eroded into massive sand pits, and the sparse grass barely clung to life.

The people here lived simple lives, relying on grazing. But with rising population and overgrazing, their once-rich pastures had turned dry and lifeless.

Many had been forced to abandon their homes in search of better opportunities. Those who remained struggled to make ends meet, clinging to the hope that one day their land might recover.

That hope felt distant—until the sky darkened with thunder.

Clouds rolled in, and the air shifted. "It's going to rain!" villagers shouted, scrambling to gather their things.

But what they didn't see—hidden within those clouds—were three mythic forms dancing joyfully across the sky. The booming thunder and rushing winds were not signs of disaster but of rebirth.

With a roar from Landorus, the first drops of rain fell—each infused with fertile energy drawn from its union with Thundurus and Tornadus.

The effect was instantaneous.

The dry, cracked ground drank in the water like a gift from heaven. The yellowed soil began to darken, loosening into rich, black earth. Then came the green—a blanket of grass, dotted with wildflowers, rising from the rejuvenated ground.

Villagers poured from their homes, eyes wide in wonder. Laughter turned to cheering, and some fell to their knees in praise. In the skies, they could just make out the silhouettes of the three who had saved them.

They knew—this was no ordinary storm. It was a miracle.

And in their hearts, gratitude bloomed. Statues would be carved. Shrines erected. Songs written. The names of the Forces of Nature—Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus—would be remembered for generations.

From above, Glacia watched in silence. Even someone of her power could not do what she had just witnessed. No human could call life back to scorched earth—not like this.

This was the power of legends.

Over the days that followed, she led the Forces of Nature across Hoenn, restoring life to barren lands. Everywhere they went, they left behind green fields, smiling faces, and renewed hope.

The legends spread quickly.

And for the first time in many years, people across the region raised their eyes to the skies—not in fear of storms, but in awe of the miracles they brought.
