Chapter 1: Did I Become Ganyu?
1,318 Words
Transmigration? It was an absurd thought.
He never imagined that simply taking a nap in an elective class would lead him to be transported into the world of the anime he had been watching yesterday.
What was even more unexpected was that he had transformed into Ganyu, the virtual wife in the hearts of countless otaku, a name that differed from his own by only a single character.
That's right. He... no, she... had not only transmigrated, but her gender had been swapped in the process.
From an ordinary college student, she became a "celestial being" in the Liyue region of Teyvat.
Calling her an "immortal" wouldn't be appropriate; she is actually a Qilin, a mythical beast.
Not only does she have a pair of small, crimson horns on her head, but she can also transform into her Qilin form at any time.
However, her body had almost no elemental power left. If she transformed into her Qilin form, it would be very difficult for her to return to a human form. Therefore, she would not easily transform unless it was absolutely necessary.
Fortunately, she somehow realized a way to change this situation and restore her original strength.
She had to participate in the main storyline of this world.
One thing needed to be clarified. The world she had transmigrated to was not the Teyvat continent where her original self lived, but a popular anime she had followed since childhood: One Piece.
In other words, she needed to join the Straw Hat Pirates, the main characters of this world, to regain the power of this body.
"I still don't know what stage the story is at, or if Luffy has set sail yet?"
"I seem to be on a small, deserted island. It's probably not an island that the main characters will pass through."
"So I have to find a way to leave this island and actively look for them."
On the deserted island beach, Ganyu sat on a rock, letting the sea breeze blow through her icy blue hair. Her legs, encased in black stockings, swayed gently.
She caught a glimpse of her stunning reflection on the sea. Her delicate face was faintly visible in the shimmering water, and her white short cheongsam with gold trim accentuated her graceful curves.
The hem of her dress fluttered slightly in the sea breeze, creating a striking color contrast with her black tights.
The woman in the reflection possessed both an ethereal, otherworldly quality and a touch of earthly charm.
A phrase popped into her head.
"Innocent, yet alluring."
It was hard to imagine that one day she would use this phrase to describe herself.
But there was no denying that the description was the most fitting in the present moment.
Ganyu stared at her reflection for a long time with a complicated expression, and finally let out a long sigh.
Forget it. Let's get down to business.
Currently, there were three ways to leave this island.
The first method was to fly directly to another island, since her body was theoretically capable of flying. Ganyu tried it and was indeed able to float dozens of meters in the air and fly freely, but she exhausted her already limited elemental power in just a few minutes. Obviously, she could not leave by flying now.
The second method was to freeze the sea. Her elemental attribute was Cryo, which meant that she could also freeze the sea surface into an ice layer, just like Admiral Aokiji, to cross the sea.
However, the same problem arose again. Her elemental power was insufficient. It was possible that she would run out of energy halfway across the sea.
Of course, her true form is a Qilin, and Qilin can swim, so even if she fell into the sea, she would not drown. But as everyone knows, the most dangerous place in this world is the ocean, where countless sea monsters lurk beneath the surface, posing a significant threat to Ganyu, whose strength was now only a fraction of what it once was.
"It seems there's only one way left."
Ganyu looked back from the sea level, her eyes, as clear as autumn water, reflecting the image of several trees. In the center of the island, not far from the beach, stood seven or eight trees with tall trunks that looked like perfect timber for shipbuilding. Ganyu certainly couldn't build a boat, but using these trees, it would be quite easy to build a small raft.
Without hesitation, Ganyu stretched out a delicate hand, closed her eyes, and seemed to be silently reciting something. Soon, an icy blue spiritual light appeared from all around, gradually gathering in her palm. Amidst the pervasive chill, a bow materialized in her hand.
"There really is a bow!"
Ganyu's eyes lit up. She had only tried to summon it on a whim, but she didn't expect to actually succeed in summoning the original owner's weapon.
"With this bow, shooting down a tree is a piece of cake."
She slowly plucked the bowstring with two fingers. Icy blue elemental power began to flow at her fingertips, transforming into a crystal-clear ice arrow on the string.
Whoosh!
With a sharp, piercing sound, the arrow struck the trunk of the giant tree, and with a CRACK, the tree fell to the ground.
"The power is a bit beyond expectations."
At a distance of several meters, the arrow had pierced a large hole in the tree trunk and also penetrated the ground, freezing a large area of land. Her arrows not only inflicted damage, but also had a controlling effect. If this arrow were to hit a person, it would surely pierce through them easily. Moreover, if the force was properly restrained, it was even possible to control the situation without harming anyone.
Just as Ganyu was admiring her masterpiece, a voice filled with suppressed anger came from deeper on the island.
"Which bored bastard did this!"
Ganyu's body stiffened. Are there still people on this island?
Startled, she looked down and saw that from the tree trunk she had shot down, two hands parted the leaves and a person crawled out.
This was an adult male with algae-green hair, a stern and angry face, and covered in broken branches and leaves, looking quite disheveled. He had three swords at his waist, and he had already reached out and drawn one.
He looked around like a startled wild beast, searching for the "enemy" who had attacked him. Before long, his eyes met Ganyu's, who was standing on the reef.
Zoro?
Upon seeing that striking green hair, a hint of surprise gradually appeared in Ganyu's eyes.
Now there's no need to search. A main character was actually on this island! No, besides me, he should be the only other person on the island. Could it be that he doesn't have...?
"A woman?"
A slightly surprised voice interrupted Ganyu's thoughts.
Zoro was staring intently at her, his expression showing a hint of wariness.
Having failed in his pursuit of prey at sea, he had stumbled upon this island and, seeing that the weather was nice, decided to take a nap in a tree. Unexpectedly, he had only been asleep for a short time when he felt a cold sensation and then fell. Falling headfirst into the mud was a truly unpleasant experience. Enraged, he originally intended to stab the guy who ambushed him. But to his utter surprise, the culprit turned out to be a woman.
"Why did you ambush me?"
After staring at her for a good ten seconds, and confirming that the other party seemed to have no intention of attacking, Zoro sheathed his sword and questioned her fiercely.
As he spoke, he glanced at the ground and saw that the frost was gradually turning into water vapor under the blazing sun.
"Are you an ability user?"
