Chapter 523 - Chapter 468.2 : Sequence One Opportunity!!

Obito hardened his heart but showed no fear. He immediately transformed into a Wraith and charged forward.

The elf reacted swiftly. Without hesitation, she drew her bow, pulling the string back with slender wrists until it was taut like a full moon. The tip of her arrow shimmered with a silver-white electric light.

In the next moment, the arrow suddenly shot through the air!

The arrow, enhanced with the 'Tyrant' pathway abilities, flew like a streak of light over the snow.

Obito didn't even have time to react before the arrow pierced through his chest.

It was fast, but that was all!

Obito sneered. Although his space-time ninjutsu couldn't leave this world, his 'intangibility' technique still worked.

The silver-white electric arrow passed straight through his heart.

"Wailing of the Vengeful Spirit!"

Obito opened his mouth and let out a piercing scream that could shatter eardrums.

The sound waves roared and rolled like a real force, stirring up a vast cloud of snow mist. The female spirit's ethereal body was shaken and froze on the spot.

"This is too easy. If all enemies are this weak..."

Obito was about to capture the 'female spirit' when suddenly he sensed a terrifying pressure from above.

"Phase Shift!"

In less than a second, Obito decisively gave up on capturing and immediately used his intangibility.

Boom!!!

The moment he phased, a massive sword blade slammed straight down from above.

The terrifying force sent the snow flying like a huge wave.

The shockwave swept across like a solid object, and the thunderous roar echoed through the mountains.

Obito retreated, a cold sweat appearing on his forehead. "That was close... just a little more and I'd be done for!"

He had no idea when the enemy appeared.

Looking up again, all he could see were two thick, sturdy, gray-blue giant legs, and a massive sword deeply buried in the snow.

White Zetsu and Obito were stunned. They looked up along the giant legs, almost straining their necks before finally seeing the whole figure.

Nearly four meters tall, wrapped in thick wild beast fur around his chest, abdomen, and hips, with the rest of his body completely exposed.

His gray-blue skin was extremely rough, like hard rock.

Leaning on a giant sword wider than a door panel, the one-eyed giant looked down at them with his signature single eye.

His voice was like a booming bell mixed with thunder, shaking the entire snowy ground with a low hum:

"Who are you? Why are you killing Groselle's comrades?"

Groselle?

White Zetsu and Obito froze, staring at the one-eyed giant, unsure what to say.

Could this strange giant before them be the 'main character' of the Groselle's Travels?

After all, the story was named after 'Groselle.'

"Groselle knows now."

The one-eyed giant gripped the massive door-panel sword, his voice booming like thunder, tinged with anger.

"You must be the evil minions of the King of the North, Ulyssan!"

King of the North? Ulyssan?

"Heh, interesting."

Obito calmly stood up, brushing the snowflakes off his body.

"Groselle, King of the North, Ulyssan… It seems we're inside some story, and these names represent characters in that story. Wouldn't you agree?"

"I think we might be able to figure out what this cursed world really is by digging into their minds."

White Zetsu licked his cracked lips, revealing a cruel smile.

"I am Groselle, King of the Giants, guardian of the Waning Forest, protector of the giants!"

Sensing the murderous intent from the two in front of him, Groselle didn't hesitate and swung his massive sword horizontally towards them.

The elf notched an arrow and shouted loudly,

"Storms, accompany the elves!"

The battle between the two demigods and the giants and elves was brief.

Groselle the giant and the elf Shatalin fought desperately but still could not withstand the combined assault of the two at Sequence Four.

Obito dragged the barely breathing Groselle and threw him to White Zetsu, panting heavily.

"That's enough for now."

The fundamental rules of this world seemed completely different from reality.

Here, he couldn't communicate with 'Mother,' and his power was greatly weakened.

He had taken heavy damage just to win.

"Leave it to me."

White Zetsu smiled confidently and immediately plunged into Groselle's consciousness.

But soon, he suddenly froze.

The memories inside — they were, they were, they were!

"What did you see?!"

Obito shook White Zetsu desperately, panic all over his face.

Yet White Zetsu remained frozen in fear, his expression seemingly frozen, terrified beyond words.

"Spirit possession!"

Obito controlled the vengeful spirit and forcibly invaded White Zetsu's consciousness, waking him up.

Looking at White Zetsu, now clear-headed, Obito furrowed his brow and asked,

"What exactly did you see in Groselle's memories just now?"

"I-I saw…"

White Zetsu's face still held traces of terror as he spoke slowly and clearly, "I saw them. 'Angel of Imagination,' 'Adam.'"

The moment the names left his mouth, the entire cave suddenly trembled and shook. The pressure of a high-ranking presence returned once again!

This time, they could clearly feel it — as if they were being "watched." Although it lasted only a brief moment, that feeling was unmistakable!

"It's Him!"

White Zetsu and Obito exclaimed in shock.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment.

The "book" on the altar, glowing with a faint white light, suddenly began flipping its pages once more.

The yellowed parchment pages rustled as if sensing a certain power descending here.

In the void, it felt as if someone had arrived. Empty footsteps echoed abruptly in the pure white chamber.

Then, a figure clad in pure white robes appeared quietly — Uchiha Sogetsu.

But suddenly, another figure blocked His path: the white-robed priest Adam. With a look full of sorrow and compassion, he lowered his eyelids and whispered, "I don't think this is a good choice."

"Because the time has come."

Uchiha Sogetsu smiled softly.

"Do you understand the consequences?"

Adam still frowned deeply and lowered his voice, "The complete set of the Quill of Alzuhod and Groselle's Travels means the awakening of Ankewelt!"

"I know, but the time has come."

Uchiha Sogetsu chuckled lightly and looked toward the book on the altar whose pages fluttered. He spoke quietly, "I sense that the opportunity to step into Sequence One lies within the Quill of Alzuhod and Groselle's Travels. If we miss this chance, we may have to wait a very long time."

"What?"

Adam was stunned, looking at Him in shock. "The opportunity of Sequence One? Wasn't your original plan—"

"Yes, but we were all wrong."

Uchiha Sogetsu held the Quill of Alzuhod and stepped onto the altar. At the end of the page, he signed His name.

"The true opportunity is right here."

The moment the signature fell, the Quill of Alzuhod merged into the book. A grand radiant light illuminated the entire pure white room.

Then, countless images seemed to flash by.

An extremely terrifying spiritual power rippled through the air, as if it could affect the real world, twisting and rewriting the laws of matter!

"Ankewelt, I'm coming!"

Uchiha Sogetsu looked at the vision, a faint smile on his lips, and resolutely stepped into it.
