Chapter 529 - Chapter 471.2 : Imagination??

But just as White Zetsu was savoring the supreme authority of a god, his vision suddenly blurred.

It felt as if he had detached from the world.

"Patient number 250, are you awake?"

That voice poured into White Zetsu's ears, causing his head to ache as if it was tearing apart.

Everything before his eyes gradually became clear.

Pure white walls and a pure white ceiling came into view.

What appeared was a familiar face — the long-dead "Adam."

But now he was wearing a white coat, with a pen tucked in his chest pocket, holding a notebook, frowning as he examined White Zetsu.

"Ad-Adam? Didn't I already kill you?!"

White Zetsu's pupils suddenly shrank sharply, as if terrified and wanting to retreat.

But struggling, he realized both his hands and feet were tightly bound to the hospital bed.

Looking down at himself, he wore blue and white striped pajamas, with an injection needle in the back of his hand, and an IV drip hanging nearby.

"You're hallucinating again, Patient 250."

The man who looked like "Adam" frowned deeply, sighed, and shook his head.

"Look closely. This is a psychiatric hospital. You are Toshi, patient in bed 250. A year ago, you hurt someone due to hallucinations and were admitted here for treatment. Everything you said is false — it's hallucination. Understand?"

Hallucination? False?

White Zetsu's face turned pale, his heart felt like it was being torn apart.

He shouted in fear, "No, that's impossible! Don't try to fool me! Adam, this must be your conspiracy! Your conspiracy! I'm already an 'Visionary,' don't try to deceive me! Watch, I will tear apart your dream!"

However, no matter how hard he tried, not only could he not tear apart the dream, he couldn't even break free from the restraints.

This body was very weak.

Even slight vigorous movement made him gasp for breath.

"Visionary? Another new hallucination?"

The man resembling Adam turned to the nurse nearby and asked, "Do you know what a Visionary is?"

"Yes, Director Getsu, I know." The nurse nodded, then said, "The 'Visionary' Toshi mentioned is probably a character from a novel called 'Lord of the Mysteries.'"

"Lord of the Mysteries?"

White Zetsu's expression changed again, his heart feeling torn.

His intuition told him this had a lot to do with himself.

"That's right, it's a webnovel."

The nurse pushed up her glasses and calmly said, "In the story, there are twenty-two divine pathways. Ordinary people can ascend by using Beyonder potions. The main character Klein ultimately ascends to become the Lord of the Mysteries. The 'Visionary' you mentioned is actually a supporting character in the book, someone named Adam."

"It looks like he's confused again."

Director Getsu sighed and said, "Give him that book to look at. Hopefully, it will help."

"Alright, Director Getsu."

The nurse took out her phone, quickly found the novel, and placed it in front of White Zetsu.

"Let go of my hand. Take a look yourself. Is this just your imagination?"

"No, it can't be!"

White Zetsu was surrounded by fear. He grabbed the phone and stared intently at the words on the screen.

He flipped through the pages quickly, almost a page every few seconds. Watching White Zetsu keep flipping pages, Director Getsu said calmly, "Let's go check on the patient next door."

The room was left with only White Zetsu silently reading The Lord of the Mysteries.

But the more he read, the deeper his despair grew.

Because the content in this book was undeniably about the so-called "Beyonder potion," "sequences," and "pathways"!

He saw the chapter titled "Hall of Truth," which wasn't the legacy of the Dragon of Imagination Ankewelt, but rather the backup plan preparing for resurrection. He also saw "Adam" becoming a god, and eventually the protagonist Klein ascending as the Lord of the Mysteries, falling into a deep sleep to protect his companions.

"So, what do you think? Do you believe it now?"

Director Getsu returned without anyone noticing.

Looking at the utterly broken White Zetsu, he said calmly, "This book ended a long time ago, but you clearly haven't finished reading it. That's why your delusions got worse, combined with your earlier delusional symptoms, your condition has worsened. This can't go on, Toshi!"

"No, no, it can't be. It's fake, it must be fake!"

The tear in White Zetsu's heart seemed to spread uncontrollably, growing larger, but he stubbornly shouted, "Impossible! This must be fake! I'm a Visionary! I am White Zetsu!"

"Ugh, what a headache."

Director Getsu sighed helplessly and threw over a comic book. "Look at this yourself. This is the source of your last delusion — Naruto."

"Naruto… ninja?"

When White Zetsu saw the cover, his whole body jolted suddenly.

Is that... Naruto?

With trembling fingers gripped by fear, it opened the comic book and flipped through the pages.

The comic told the story of a boy named Naruto, who was born with the Nine-Tails sealed inside him. He endured countless hardships and eventually grew up to become the Hokage.

"Do you understand now?"

Director Getsu said seriously, "The world you think is real is actually a product of your imagination, built from comics and novels in your mind. It does not truly exist."

White Zetsu's expression froze like a statue. His lips trembled, but no words came out.

"Toshi, this is an illness. You need treatment!"

Director Getsu gently patted his shoulder, his tone softening, "Now, can you see clearly what is real and what is just imagination?"

At that moment, the tearing feeling between reality and dreams completely broke White Zetsu's mind.

He held his head and shouted like a madman, "I can't tell! I can't tell, Director Getsu! I just can't tell!!!"

Watching the suffering White Zetsu, Director Getsu smiled faintly and said softly, "It's okay, Toshi. As long as you keep up with treatment, you will tell the difference sooner or later. You will get better."

"Really?"

White Zetsu believed it now. Everything he had experienced was a false imagination!

It was a product created from comics, novels, and the people around him — all manufactured in his delusional mind.

He was not White Zetsu, nor a Visionary, but just a poor patient with delusions — Toshi!

"Trust me, Toshi."

Director Getsu's warm smile appeared, "I will definitely cure you and make you a normal person."
