Gazing at the mountain peak shrouded by a gigantic mushroom cloud, Uchiha Sogetsu's expression was calm, as if he had just done something trivial without much effort.
"As expected of the 'King of Angels,'" Adam shaded his eyes with his hand and looked towards the mountain top flattened by a meteorite.
He said with some emotion, "If it were a normal 'Sequence One,' creating a meteorite out of thin air would definitely consume a significant amount of spiritual energy. After all, this already breaks the rules of the 'Author'."
The 'Author' must, as the name suggests, write the story according to logic.
Yet just now, Uchiha Sogetsu completely disregarded 'logic' and directly created a meteorite out of thin air!
"I have absorbed 'Uniqueness,' so this is nothing," Sogetsu said calmly, shaking his head. He spoke with quiet confidence, "Now, I am only one step away from becoming an 'Visionary,' so naturally, I can wield some of the powers of 'Omnipotence.'"
"So, is that guy dead?"
Adam asked with curiosity. "After being hit by a meteorite like that, there's no way he could still be alive, right?"
"Hard to say."
Sogetsu smiled slightly, gazing at the blazing mountain top. He said meaningfully, "Under normal circumstances, I'd be certain he wouldn't survive, but we can't rule out external interference. To be safe, we should go check it out."
"Now that you say it, that makes sense."
Upon hearing this, Adam's eyes revealed some caution as he looked up at the starry sky.
"I originally thought that the 'Mother Tree of Desire' left on the moon was already the limit. Who would have expected another to suddenly appear—the 'Mother Goddess of Depravity'?"
The combination of Shinnō and the Zero-Tail wasn't particularly rare or worthy of attention.
But strangely, Shinnō had somehow become a Beyonder of the 'Mother' pathway and even possessed powers of the 'Moon' pathway. That was something different.
If it was just one pathway, it might be understandable as accidentally hunting down a Beyonder creature and absorbing its Beyonder Characteristics.
But combining two pathways, and both representing the missing 'Authority' of the 'Mother Goddess of Depravity' — that compelled Uchiha Sogetsu to be somewhat more alert.
It was indeed peculiar.
If the Mother Tree of Desire could be barely traced and explained, then the Mother Goddess of Depravity was truly baffling.
By all rights, Uchiha Sogetsu, now having embraced the uniqueness, should already be considered the "King of Angels."
Yet, he still hadn't noticed when exactly the "Mother Goddess of Depravity" had appeared!
"Why not go see for yourself and find out?"
With that, Uchiha Sogetsu took a step forward. The space around him seemed to distort like an illusion as he instantly crossed the distance and arrived at the courtyard struck by a meteor.
The barrier covering the courtyard had been completely shattered.
But even worse, inside the courtyard, the meteor had smashed a massive crater nearly a hundred meters in diameter!
The good news was that Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura had been relocated early to a safe area.
The bad news? Shinnō was still very much alive!
Despite being crushed to pieces by the meteor, Shinnō's strange mythical form was slowly regenerating.
The rotting black mist drifting around began to gather, forming hundreds of grotesque tentacles covered in countless disgusting eye-like organs. They revealed expressions of fear as they anxiously scanned the surroundings.
"Who's there? Show yourself! Come out now!"
In the next moment, the decayed black mist burst out violently, like a writhing mass of revolting flesh, devouring and corroding everything around it.
Whether it was rock layers, dust in the air, or the natural energy of the world, all were rapidly consumed as nourishment to rebuild its body!
Shinnō seemed somewhat frightened and looked up at the sky, confirming no more meteors were falling this time.
Just now was the first time in its existence that it had sensed the presence of death!
With no warning, a meteor had fallen from the sky—who wouldn't panic?
"Damn it, who was that just now?" it nervously scanned around. But all it saw were the meteor crater and burning flames. Even using spiritual perception, it couldn't detect anyone.
Was there really no one?
Shinnō suddenly started doubting whether it was just incredibly unlucky to have been hit by a meteor by chance.

Shinnō manipulated the rotting black mist, extending thousands of tentacles. Carefully, it explored the area around the crater.
After a moment, its hundreds of eyes suddenly froze, then turned into raging fury. "Who? Who stole my possession?!"
It had just realized that Uchiha Sasuke had disappeared!
"Show yourself!!!"
Amidst the deafening roar mixed with twisted, filthy whispers, the corrupt and formless black mist gushed out sticky fluid like pus from a wild beast's wound.
Shinnō's three hooved feet stomped fiercely on the ground.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The entire hill seemed to shake violently.
Clearly, losing Uchiha Sasuke plunged it into complete rage. The spreading eerie black mist ravaged all life in the area with brutal force.
But no matter how frenzied it became, it couldn't find any trace of him!
Uchiha Sogetsu and Adam stood right before it, but Shinnō ignored them completely.
"What do you say?"
Adam looked to Sogetsu and asked, "Should I invade its consciousness island to find the source?"
"Go ahead."
Uchiha Sogetsu nodded slightly.
After a pause, he seemed uneasy and added, "Be careful. If anything goes wrong, call my name loudly."
"Don't worry, nothing will happen."
Adam pushed up his glasses and smiled gently.
Then, silently, he approached the still enraged Shinnō.
Shinnō seemed to vaguely sense something approaching, but in an instant, the thought in its mind was erased as if by some force.
"Why am I here?"
He felt somewhat confused and lost. The focus in his eyes suddenly vanished, and his entire form shifted from that of a mythical creature back to his original state.
"That took a bit of effort."
Adam frowned slightly and spoke softly, "This mythical creature form shouldn't be entirely 'Mother' or 'Moon.' It leans more toward… offspring!"
