Chapter 105 - End of destiny

The ground split apart beneath them as Law's roar shook the ruined skyline—an unholy sound that bent the air itself. His burned flesh regenerated in real time, blue-black energy pulsing through his veins like lightning through a storm.

Law: "How the hell am I getting injured? This is impossible!"

Before he could stabilize his stance, a voice rang out through the wreckage.

Alexander: "EVERYONE! GET UP AND ATTACK HIM TOGETHER!"

The survivors—Eve, Seraphina, Don, Kai, and the others—rose from the rubble, covered in blood, eyes burning with raw determination. The air ignited with energy, magic, and rage.

Then everything exploded into motion.

Law charged first—his body moving faster than light could catch. Alexander blocked the first strike, bones cracking under the sheer force, but he countered with a brutal elbow to Law's ribs followed by a knee strike to the jaw. Blood sprayed in a wide arc as Law's head snapped back—only for him to grab Alexander by the throat and slam him through three buildings in one motion.

Eve appeared above, wings blazing with divine light. She thrust her spear down, piercing through Law's shoulder and detonating a radiant explosion that seared the sky white. Law screamed in fury and tore the weapon out, hurling it back at her. She barely deflected it with a burst of holy energy before being tackled midair.

Eve: "You won't win this time, Law!"

Law: "I already have!"

Below them, Kai spun through a wave of debris, twin blades flashing like silver lightning. He leapt over a collapsing tower, landed behind Law, and slashed—a clean, precise cut that carved across Law's back. Black ichor splattered the ground.

Kai: "I'll make sure you stay down this time!"

Law howled, spinning around with monstrous speed, catching Kai's wrist and driving a knee straight into his gut. Bones snapped. But Kai didn't fall—he jammed one of his blades into Law's thigh and fired the built-in gun barrel. A thunderous blast tore through flesh, blowing a hole clean through Law's leg.

Law (snarling): "You pests think this means anything!?"

He swung his arm in a sweeping motion, releasing a shockwave that sent Seraphina crashing through a wall. Her wings burst open mid-fall, stabilizing her just enough for her to draw her blade and counterattack. She slashed through the air, releasing waves of searing red energy. Law blocked each one, sparks and blood flying as his arm smoked from the impact.

Don reappeared behind him, firing a barrage of armor-piercing rounds from his rifle. Each bullet carried magic seals—exploding on impact, burning through divine flesh. Law staggered, chest and shoulders riddled with molten holes, his expression twisting between anger and disbelief.

Alexander, his body torn, breathing heavily and teleported in a burst of flame beside Eve.

Alexander: "On my mark, Eve, Kai, push forward! Seraphina, flank him!"

They obeyed instantly.

Eve's light clashed against Law's shadows.

Kai's twin blades carved through the blur of motion.

Seraphina's sword met Law's claws in a spark-filled deadlock.

Law's power flared, sending shockwaves that shattered nearby buildings like glass. He caught Eve's spear, twisted it, and impaled her shoulder—only for Alexander to seize his arm, flip him with a judo throw, and slam him headfirst into the concrete.

The ground cratered, molten cracks spreading outward like veins of lava.

Alexander roared, punching Law's face again and again—each strike releasing bursts of fire and blood. But Law caught his fist mid-swing, eyes glowing pure white.

Law: "You think you can stop a god with your strength?!"

He crushed Alexander's arm, snapped his collarbone, then sent him flying through a skyscraper.

Kai intercepted, launching a flying knee at Law's jaw, followed by a devastating combo of sword strikes. Each one drew blood—but Law refused to fall. He grabbed Kai by the throat, lifted him, and threw him like a spear through the burning debris.

Eve dove down, wings torn and bleeding, spear gleaming with divine energy. She drove it through Law's chest, pinning him to the ground.

Eve: "This ends now!"

Law smirked through the blood dripping from his mouth.

Law: "No… it begins now."

He clapped his hands together—and the world exploded.

A blinding shockwave of energy burst from his body, obliterating the street, vaporizing the rubble, and flinging everyone back miles away.

When the dust cleared, Law stood alone at the center, panting, his body covered in burns and cuts that refused to heal as quickly as before.

And for the first time since the battle began—he looked uncertain.

The sky was gone.

Only the endless blackness of space stared down on them, the sun and moon erased, stars flickering like dying embers. The ground trembled violently — but none of that mattered anymore.

All that remained was Law, standing amidst ruin, his body burning with divine power and madness.

Alexander charged first — his boots cracked the ground, and with a flash of blue energy, he delivered a devastating punch straight to Law's jaw. The impact split the air like a bomb, but Law didn't budge — instead, he smiled and slammed his knee into Alexander's gut, launching him through several crumbling skyscrapers.

Eve followed, wings unfurled, light blazing from her eyes. She summoned blades of pure radiance and hurled them in a storm around Law, each one sharp enough to slice through steel. Law raised his hand — space itself shattered, her blades freezing midair before reversing direction and impaling the ground.

Kai darted in, appearing behind Law in an instant — his movements were pure instinct, every strike of his sword aimed for vital points. Law blocked with his bare arm, but Kai's final slash drew blood across Law's chest — a thin red line that hissed and smoked.

Law growled. "You're gnats… all of you."

He spread his arms wide, and a blast of gravity surged outward. The shockwave crushed concrete, broke bones, and sent Eve and Kai flying back as Seraphina's barrier barely held. Blood poured down her face as she forced her magic outward, her red eyes glowing like molten fire.

Seraphina: "He's stronger than before—he's rewriting reality itself!"

Don opened fire from a distance, each bullet imbued with spellfire, detonating on impact. The explosions illuminated the battlefield in flashes of blue and red — smoke, debris, and blood filled the air.

Law emerged from the firestorm, completely unharmed, grinning with burning eyes. "You insects think you can stop a god?"

Alexander reappeared in front of him, blood dripping from his mouth, smiling through the pain.

They clashed again — shockwaves ripped apart the earth, lightning streaked through the sky, and the ground beneath them fractured like glass. Every hit was brutal — bones cracked, flesh tore, and screams echoed through the ruined city.

Law grabbed Kai by the throat, lifting him off the ground, crushing his windpipe. Before he could finish him, Eve's light speared through Law's shoulder — the goddess's radiance burning him for the first time.

He turned — only for Alexander to appear beside him, driving a knee into his ribs, followed by a spinning kick that sent Law crashing into a shattered crater.

Law rose slowly, blood dripping down his chin, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You... mortals… hurt me?"

Alexander wiped blood from his mouth.

As the group gathered, battered and bloodied but still standing — the ground rumbled again.

The sky itself began to peel away, layer by layer, revealing the endless vacuum of space.

The stars dimmed.

And far in the distance… the Earth began to die.

At first, it was sound — a deep, trembling hum that echoed through the crust of the Earth.

Then came the light.

The world began to end.

Every horizon ignited. Cities vanished under molten clouds. Oceans boiled, continents split open. The moon cracked apart like glass, its fragments raining down in streaks of burning white.

Law stood at the center of it all, hovering above the dying Earth, arms spread wide.

Around him, space bent and twisted, reality itself collapsing in waves.

"Witness the perfection of nothingness!" Law roared.

Skyscrapers crumbled, turning into dust before they even touched the ground. People ran through the streets, their shadows burned into the pavement by the fire from above. Rivers turned to vapor, forests burst into flames, and whole countries sank beneath the rising tides.

Billions of lives ended in minutes. The air itself was fire.

In the midst of it, Eve fell to her knees. Her wings were torn, her light flickering weakly as the holy radiance around her began to fade. She watched entire nations vanish — places she'd once protected, people she'd sworn to defend.

Her voice trembled.

"Why… why is this happening?"

Seraphina clenched her fists, her red eyes burning with helpless fury.

Don looked around at the ruins — smoke, blood, bodies. His hands shook, the trigger on his rifle slipping. "All this… for what?!" he shouted. "What the hell did humanity ever do to deserve this!?"

Above them, Law's laughter echoed across the empty sky — a cold, hollow sound that resonated through every broken corner of the world.

"Deserve? You think this world deserves anything? Creation is a mistake that has lasted too long!"

The sky shattered again, and through the cracks, the stars began to fall. Massive meteors of divine energy, burning red, rained down across the planet — annihilating whatever remained of civilization.

Kai and Alexander leapt toward Law through the inferno, moving through debris and fire, each strike desperate. Their blades, their fists, their energy — all clashing against the impossible.

But for every attack, Law countered with the strength of a thousand storms. Each blow shattered bones, each wave of energy leveled entire regions.

And yet, they kept fighting.

Alexander, coughing blood, slammed his fist into Law's chest one final time, screaming through tears.

The impact sent a shockwave that tore through the clouds — light and darkness twisted together, creating a dome of blinding brilliance.

For a moment, the Earth stopped shaking. The sound faded.

And then came silence.

Billions were gone. The cities were ashes. The world had become a graveyard floating in the void — pieces of Earth drifting among the stars.

Only a handful of warriors remained — broken, bloodied, but breathing — standing on what was left of a shattered city street hanging over the abyss.

Eve whispered through tears, her voice trembling.

"…It's over. Everything's gone."

But Alexander, barely standing, looked up into the dark, ruined sky.

"No," he said. "Not yet."

He clenched his fist — the faint glow of prime fire still burning in his chest, refusing to die.

"We still have one last chance."
