Jon scoffed, "All tricks and minor cunning."
"Yet you still got tricked by me."
Jon snorted coldly, "Why brag about it? Don't think you can fool me again after this."
Xinran suddenly looked towards the door, her eyes widened in surprise, "Uncle—"
Jon whipped his head around to look, but the doorway was empty, there was nothing there.
Xinran giggled, "See, I tricked you again, hehe..."
Jon: "..."
Ye Anqi came out carrying dumplings and heard Xinran's laughter, she asked amused, "What are you two talking about, laughing so happily?"
Xinran laughed and said, "I was chatting with my little cousin here."
"What were you chatting about?" Ye Anqi walked over and naturally placed a plate of dumplings in front of Xinran.
Xinran didn't answer but instead laughed, "Auntie, the dumplings smell so good. I love the dumplings you make the most."
Ye Anqi rubbed her head, "Eat more if you like them."
"Mm." Xinran nodded, her expression naive and adorably cute.
