Chapter One Hundred Forty-Nine:
Del Gazini's House
Night…
"Haimon…" I said when our eyes have met.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?"
"No." I said as I shake my head and snuggle through his chest enough for me to feel him.
For a moment, I knew I could never ever leave Haimon no matter what it takes. I truly love him so much I can give up everything I have just to be with him. Yet, the question, would he do the same for me?
I silently asked myself as I keep myself closer to him when for some reason, I feel that there is something wrong. The heat I had been longing for and I had missed so much suddenly disappeared. But not only that was lost but also my familiarity with him was suddenly lost.
I can't explain it but I feel like he isn't my husband at all.
"Is there a problem?" suddenly he speaks and the voice that I knew wasn't the same as before.
I quickly pulled out myself out of him only to be surprised seeing the last man I don't want to see. "Kanik! Ahhh!" the struggle I've caused rolled me down out of my bed.
"Surprised my Lady?" he asked and this time when I look up to him, he was already standing and the bed was already gone.
I quickly look around only to see that the room I am in was also gone and the place where am I is… "No!"
"You remember this place, my Lady?"
In surprised I stare back at him. "What am I doing here?!" I asked in fear even though the truth I don't remember exactly why do I fear this place in the first place. As if, there is something hidden deep into my memories that I couldn't remember but it feels like I don't suppose to remember any of it since it came from the… past?
"You poor little Lady, you still can't remember." He said and came closer to me but I crawl backwards trying to get away from him.
"Oh," he said and laughs. "Scaredy-cat my Lady, but then I haven't started yet."
"Wh-what are you talking about?"
"Clueless. Is that really what you want to happen? To live again in a normal way and completely forget everything in the past?" he said and I still don't get what he was saying. "Oh, here, I give you something that you won't be able to forget." He said as he leans closer.
"Wha… ahhh!" I screamed in pain when he suddenly pulled my hand and with a speed, he bites my wrist. I could feel the sharpness of his fangs quickly sinking into my skin. The speed with which he sucked into my blood gradually weakened me, caused me to no longer be able to get rid of him.
"Huh!" he deeply breathed after sucking my blood and I almost going to fall but then he catches me and he pulled me closer to him. "I'll tell you one last thing that you won't ever forget once you wake up from this dream."
"Wh-what…" I asked in weak tone.
Kanik brought his lip close to my ear and then whispered something I dreaded so much. When I heard what he said I couldn't stop my screaming as he was just laughing as he walked away from me. I try to reach him but to no avail, I can't even move my feet to stand up and my hand stops in the midair. I'm going to lose him or rather I'm going to lose the one person I dearly love so much.

"Shu!"
My eyes quickly open as I heard his voice and seeing him holding my hands, I couldn't stop myself not to cry and immediately grabs him for a tight embrace. I don't know what is going on with me but I am so afraid that I will going to lose the only person I dearly love so much, "Haimon." I said between my tears and I couldn't stop myself not to cry even more as I felt his tight embrace caress my whole body and soul.
Morning…
I wake from a tight embrace and I immediately look at the person next to me and make sure he is my Haimon. My only Haimon!
"Uhm, Love?" he speaks as soon as his eyes open and met mine.
"Oh, God!" I hug him.
"What's wrong? Still having a nightmare?" he worriedly asked.
"No." I said as I shake my head under his embrace.
"Then, what is wrong?"
"I am afraid." I honestly answered.
"Of what?"
"Of losing you." I answered.
Haimon slowly release me and look me in the eyes. "You will never going to lose me, Love. I'll always be here for you, forever."
"But then…" I don't know if this is the right time to tell him what's really on my mind.
"Shu? What is it?"
"I'll be honest with you. Did you love me because I was the reincarnation of Siara or did you love me because I was me?"
"Why do you think that?" he surprisingly asked me.
"Because…"
"Is that what you were afraid of?"
"Yes! That's why you need to answer me honestly! Do you love--"
"Yes, I love her and she will forever stay in my heart." He said and hearing how honest he is I barely able to speak and I choose to leave but then he suddenly grabs my wrist, stopping me to go.
"Please, let me go Haimon! The pain you gave me is already enough so please--"
"I love you Shu, I really mean it," he said that cuts me off. "And it's not because you are the reincarnation of Siara but because you are you. The only woman made my heart beat again after a very long, long time."
"Haimon, what?"
"Yes, indeed." He said and holds my hands firmly. "And now I'll be honest with you, I'll tell you a story that will prove my love for you, Shu."
