There were at least fifty students crammed into the waiting room, and the moment I walked in, the air went stiff. Conversations cut off, and all eyes flicked toward me like I'd just stepped onto a stage.
Awkward.
Thankfully, after a beat, they went back to their chatter. I strolled in, picked a seat in the corner, and made myself comfortable. Talking to strangers wasn't exactly on my to-do list, and besides—I only recognized maybe three… okay, seven faces at best. Same classes, same halls. Not friends.
So, while waiting for my match, I decided a nap sounded better than small talk.
That was until someone shook me awake.
"Hey… you're Remillia, right?"
I opened one of my eyes and saw the girl who's also attending the same class as I was. "Yes?"
I cracked one eye open. It was a girl from one of my classes. "Yes?"
"What did you do to Luella anyway?" she asked, lowering her voice like she was trading top-secret gossip.
