THE ROYAL CASTLE
Hatia sits across Edward in his chamber. Edward scribbles on some paper, paying less attention to Hatia's rambling for the last twenty minutes.
Hatia's face is laced with anger as she continues in a harsh tone. "He's lost his mind," she says, hissing.
"He's gone to war for a woman. That witch. He's going to bring her back, and then what? He'll put her on the throne. He'll make her a queen. My son, bewitched by a traitor."
Edward looks up from the paper at her last sentence, as he erupts in laughter, shaking his head.
"Your son, you say? I never thought I'd hear you say that." He says going back to the paper.
"Edward, he can't bring that girl back here!" She says, ignoring his words.
"The mate bond is a very powerful thing and I think that he is driven by it. We should just let it be. We have our lives to live. It's better than having him hunt you down if you do something against his command. He's the king, Hatia."
