Chapter 4 - 4. They say I have angel wings

They say I have angel wings

They have been to my home, they've seen through my things

But why do they ignore my horns - my scars?

They claim I've been through hurt, that I've fought wars

But why is war not seen as ugly? I spit at them that it is

Yet they freeze to see, attempt to hug and land a gentle kiss

Angels fell in battle, and demons died too

War is a place brought by liars and miscreants' crew

I agree that I'm no miscreant, but those wings aren't mine

I ripped them off bodies, so that the demons build them a warrior's shrine

You see the angels aren't that bad, but they act righteous

They follow their leader, even if it is something blasphemous

I trophy these wings, to remind me of my place

To hurt others lesser, to understand this whole wrong criminal chase

Gotta go, I think they are here, I hear the angellic sings

Because they say I have angel wings

#This was an image prompt (boy, do I wish badly that Webnovel allows me to paste photos - that'd be so good!) of angel wings on a wall hanger. We had other amazing writers who wrote too - different perspectives. And this was mine.#
