The Space Trade Fair was a name few in Zhongzhou had ever heard. Across the vast continent, only top-tier powers and high-level experts possessed even the faintest knowledge of it.
In its earliest days, the Space Trade Fair had no central organizer. But as with all things, rules were necessary. As the fair expanded, order became crucial, and three previously unknown sects emerged to take on the role of organizing and maintaining its structure.
The venue itself was located deep within the northeastern deserts of Zhongzhou. Normally, this place was a desolate wasteland, plagued by constant sandstorms and utterly devoid of life. Not even magical beasts dared venture there. Who would have imagined that this seemingly forsaken place housed the second-largest trade fair in all of Zhongzhou?
The first, naturally, was the renowned Space-Time Trade Fair established by Yafei—with Ye Feng's help.
Whoosh!
A sharp gust split the air as two figures tore across the sky. Moments later, they appeared at the desert's edge, their forms becoming clear under the scorching sun.
"Though it looks deserted, if you focus, you can sense many powerful auras," Queen Medusa remarked, her golden eyes scanning the area with mild surprise.
"They're just some Dou Zong and Dou Zun," Ye Feng replied flatly. His tone carried the casual indifference of someone far beyond such realms. Now that he had reached the Dou Di level, even Dou Sheng experts hardly caught his eye.
As the two stepped into the heart of the wasteland, space rippled before them. An old man emerged from the void, descending slowly. With deep reverence, he bowed at a ninety-degree angle.
"Welcome, Chaos Saint. Welcome, Virgin Mary."
"Virgin Mary?" Queen Medusa raised an eyebrow.
"The Saint's woman is naturally the Virgin Mary," the old man replied with a smile.
"I—" Queen Medusa hesitated. She wanted to correct him. After all, she had never agreed to marry Ye Feng. What happened between them—a one-night stand—was before her evolution. Since then, their relationship remained ambiguous at best.
"Enough," Ye Feng interrupted. "Open the gate."
"Yes, sir."
Though the old man wasn't from Ye Feng's Heavenly Palace, he still treated him with unwavering respect. The title of Dou Di demanded nothing less.
Raising his hand, the old man summoned a massive spatial vortex. A pitch-black hole hundreds of feet wide opened between the towering dunes, swirling with turbulent spatial force. This was the gateway to the Space Trade Fair.
Ye Feng and Queen Medusa stepped through.
A brilliant burst of light enveloped them. As it faded, they found themselves in a small, bustling town bathed in grey hues. Despite its modest size, the town buzzed with energy, spatial fluctuations flickering faintly in the air.
"This is the Space Trade Fair?" Queen Medusa glanced around with curiosity. "Let's take a look."
"Sure," Ye Feng said, smiling. He hadn't come here for any particular reason—just to accompany her. As long as Cai Lin was happy, he was content.
"Earth Demon Kick—an advanced earth-level fighting skill!"
"Transformation Pill—a high-grade seventh-tier elixir!"
"Tai Xuan Jue—an earth-level technique, top tier!"
The stalls around them were filled with rare and precious treasures, each one worthy of any top-tier sect.
Eventually, Queen Medusa stopped, her gaze locking onto a strange, colorful stone. About half the size of a fist, it was covered in delicate lines, and a subtle energy pulsed from within.
"A Colorful Raw Stone..." Ye Feng muttered. He recognized it immediately.
Legend had it that such stones only formed where a Seven-Colored Sky-Swallowing Python had fallen. Infused with the blood essence of that rare species, the stones emitted a unique energy—a nourishing tonic especially beneficial for Sky-Swallowing Pythons.
Queen Medusa turned to the nearby stall owner, a skinny old man with cloudy eyes. "What do you want in exchange for the Colorful Raw Stone?"
"Two eighth-grade pills," the old man answered lazily, "each with three-colored pill lightning or above."
"Isn't that a bit much?"
"If it's too expensive, don't buy it," the old man said with a roll of his eyes. He clearly didn't care who she was.
Ye Feng raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Three brocade boxes appeared out of thin air, floating before the old man.
"Each box contains an eighth-grade elixir with four-colored pill lightning."
The old man's expression shifted. Greed flashed in his eyes. "Deal. The stone is yours."
"I'm not done yet," Ye Feng added coldly. "Besides the stone, you owe my woman an apology."
"Just an apology?"
"That's right."
The old man didn't hesitate. He opened one of the boxes and saw the pill inside—its surface engraved with intricate pill patterns, exuding rich medicinal aroma.
Plop!
He dropped to his knees.
"What are you doing?" Ye Feng asked calmly.
"Chaos Saint... I've deeply offended you. Please forgive this old fool."
"You recognize me?" Ye Feng asked, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"I've never met you in person," the old man said quickly, "but I once acquired a pill you refined at the Space-Time Trade Fair. I'm an alchemist myself, and I'll never forget the Dao charm in that pill. In this world, no one else can produce such a thing."
"Then go ahead. Apologize to my woman and take your things."
"Yes, yes!"
The old man shuffled over on his knees, bowing deeply before Queen Medusa. "I didn't recognize the Virgin Mary. I offended you—please forgive me."
Queen Medusa gave him a bemused look and picked up the stone. "You didn't really insult me. Forget it."
She sighed softly. "It's boring. I can't even enjoy a walk without people treating you like a deity."
Ye Feng chuckled. "Cai Lin, believe me, I want to keep a low profile. But my strength won't let me."
"I'm handling everything at the auction," she warned with a smile. "You're not allowed to interfere."
"Alright, I'll listen to you."
Buzz—
Suddenly, a strange ripple spread across the sky. The entire town quieted. Alarm flashed in the eyes of the strong.
Ye Feng's pupils turned silver-gray, gazing far into the distance—beyond the barren land, beyond the Savage Forest, deep into the void.
"What is it, Feng?" Queen Medusa asked. "Another surprise?"
"No. Someone just broke through to the Dou Di realm." His voice carried a rare note of awe. "I didn't expect it… he actually succeeded."
"Who?"
"Xiao Yan."
