Chapter 46 - The Young Master Wishes To See You

Mei left her and Lucius strolled casually to her. "I must say, you have impressed me."

Zuri looked up from her glass, to see Young Master Damari standing in front of her. His black suit was well fitted, his hair seemed more glossy and his expression was neutral. What entrapped her was his eyes which seemed to hold all his emotions.

She felt like she could drown in his gaze and her stomach felt like it was doing flip flops. He seemed so different from anyone she had met, his beauty was not of this world.

Yet, even with all the feelings bubbling within her, including the ones she couldn't place, she kept a cool face and nodded.

"I am surprised that someone as simple as I could impress someone as difficult as you." She said.

"Should I take that as a compliment?" He tilted his head.

"Take it the way you wish." She lifted the cup to get lips.

'How could one person be so attractive? Too bad her mouth ruins her looks. I will have to curb that nasty tongue of hers.' He walked past her but stopped abruptly.

"You look breathtaking."

Her face turned bright pink, all the way to her ears. "You don't look bad yourself, Young Master."

"I didn't know I looked that bad." He teased, knowing fully well that she would be as red as an apple.

"Let me rephrase that." She turned around and closed the space between them before smiling.

"You are as captivating as a starry night's sky." She walked away, leaving Lucius with a red line on his face.

Sawyer saw Zuri walking away from Lucius and noticed his phantom gaze. "Is there something wrong, Young Master? You're face is flushed. Are you sick?"

Lucius covered his face with his hands. "I'm not sick. Leave me alone."

Sawyer shrugged and left him. 'Maybe Miss Zuri said something to him. But what would she have said to make him blush like that?'

The results were announced and Zuri came first, Mei was second and Kenji was last place.

"Why wasn't I on the first three?" Kenzo lamented.

"Who knows?" Kenji rubbed his trophy in his face. "That reminds me, Zuri?."

"Hmmm?" Zuri snapped out of her thoughts. "What?"

"The Young Master's assistant is looking for you." Kenji said. "He told me that he wants you to meet him by the chocolate fountain." Kenji pointed to the man who was standing beside a glistening fountain of chocolate. "I think he's waiting for you."

"Did he tell you why?" Kenzo asked.

"No. Soon after I received my trophy, he told me that."

"I'll go." Zuri dropped her glass of wine on a table. "You guys should go home."

"Okay." Kenzo obediently nodded.

Zuri left them and hurried to the fountain. "Assistant Sawyer, did you call for me?"

Sawyer smiled. "The Young Master wishes to see you in his office."

"Let me change my clothes in the dressing room. I hope that won't be an issue."

"Not at all." He followed her to the dressing room where he waited outside. "I'll wait for you."

She quickly changed her clothes and put the gown in her dressing bag. She wore a simple white shirt and black trousers. Instead of her heels, she wore a pair of black sneakers and white socks.

She took off her lenses and removed the pins from her hair. She didn't braid her hair and just made messy space buns.

She exited the room with her dressing bag and met Sawyer waiting for her.

'She looks so different.' He thought. If she didn't make such a feminine hair style, it would be easy to mistake her for a guy. Nevertheless, she still looked noble and simple.

"I'll take the dressing bag." Sawyer took the bag and led her to a dark corridor.

"The door's to the left. I have to get your clothes to a dry cleaner."

Sawyer said no more and strided away.
