Zuri followed Sawyer's directions and soon reached a door. She heard her mother voice from inside and opened it.
Her mother and younger twin sister were sitting on a sofa, opposite Old Sir Damari Reyes and Young Master Lucius Damari.
"I was called for." She bowed.
"Come in and close the door." Old Sir said softly.
She came in and opened the windows and let down the curtains. "It's stuffy in here, don't you think?"
Old Sir replied with an 'Mmmh.'
"Sit down there." Lucius pointed at the sofa where her sister and mother were seated.
She took this time to analyse the faces of everyone in the room. Camie looked like a mice that was trapped with a lion, Old Sir and Lucius had no expression, but Old Sir seemed more gentle and was happier than Lucius. Her mother had a look of terror and fear.
'What went on in this room?'
The room was filled with an icy silence, which was broken when Maude coughed.
"You sent for us. Is something the matter?" Maude didn't dare look up. "I understand that what Camila had done was awful and I take responsibility for not training her properly. Punish her the way you deem fit but please, spare my eldest child."
"Mom, what are you saying." Camie yelled.
Maude slapped her hard. "Be silent." She ordered in a harsh voice.
'What was going in?' Camie was surprised. None of them had seen their mother this angry before.
"It isn't about that." Old Sir revealed.
"Really, then what is this about?" Maude asked.
"It's about your eldest daughter, Zuri." Lucius calmly said. "I want your daughter."
Another round of silence enveloped the room.
"What did you just say?"
"I want her. My father and I have decide to create an arranged marriage between us." He handed her a brown envelope. "It's a contract. I want your daughter and I am willing to pay."
"I will give you ten million yen and I will pardon your husband's crime if you will accept my proposal."
Maude stood up. "Master Damari, I do not intend to give my daughter to you, let alone sell her. You have killed my husband, their father. What more do you want from us?"
"Mom, did you just say that dad's dead?" Zuri spoke for the first time since she sat down. "You told us all our lives that our father left us for some unknown reason and that he would be back." She got up, her voice rose slowly.
"Zuri, please calm down." Camie grabbed Zuri's arm. "I too, am as shocked as you are."
"DON'T TOUCH ME." Zuri screamed and pushed her away. "You've hated me all my life and you blamed me for chasing our father away. But he's dead. What right do you have to tell me that?"
Old Sir shook his head. 'Looks like they weren't aware of their father's death."

"Kenji, go home. I'll wait for Zuri and we'll come home together." Kenzo told Kenji as he hailed a cab for his brother.
"Are you sure?" Kenji asked.
"It's fine." He returned into the building and started searching for Zuri with his eyes. She wasn't standing by the fountain and he didn't see her anywhere else.
He asked the other guests and they said that she went to a corridor with Young Master Damari's assistant.
He went to the corridor and after walking for a bit. He found a dark brown door and stood by it, placing his ear to listen. He heard some shouting that sounded like Zuri's voice.
"DON'T TOUCH ME. You've hated me all my life and you blamed me for chasing our father away. But he's dead. What right do you have to tell me that?"
'What happened?'
He wanted to go in but something stopped him so he decided to listen for a bit longer.

She turned to Lucius who had a smug look in his face.
"And if I refuse?" She asked.
"It is not a choice, Miss Vesta. Sit down." He ordered.
"I won't sit down. And I won't go anywhere with you." She smashed a vase of flowers. "I don't belong to anyone."
"How about this?" He grabbed her wrist.
"You can accept my proposal or I will take you with force. Or, I can just kill your mother and sister before your very eyes. Whichever one suits you." He wasn't bluffing.
