Kai, the mage girl, and Rin walked towards the villagers. They saw the Old villager, who was previously assaulted by the rogue leader, could not even stand himself. He was very weak and barely conscious. There were two more villagers who were helping him stay on his feet.
Rin could not see the Old man suffering, she swiftly walked forward and with her gentle touch. She healed the elder's wound, giving him instant relief from his pain.
The Old man placed his hand gently on Rin's head, giving her his blessing. "Thank you, my daughter," his voice filled with gratitude. Rin softly smiled, feeling the weight of the Elder's blessings.
The Old man shifted his gaze towards Kai and spoke,"How can we ever thank you? For what you have done today."
"You should be thanking Luna, not me," Kai responded.
After hearing Kai's words, the Old man gazes at the mage girl. "Thank you...."
Just as the Old man finished, the mage girl swiftly spoke up, "No,No, No, I am not Luna." She continued, "I am Eiera from Verdantia...."
Suddenly, a voice pierced through the crowd, "I am Luna!!!"
"Thank Me Not Them!!!"
The voice startled the villagers and the Old man; they tried to see Luna, but she was nowhere to be seen.
The voice came again, but this time it had a hint of frustration. "Eiera! Do Your Thing And Fix Me Now..."
"I Want To Be Thanked!!!"
Just as Eiera heard the voice, she chuckled. She slowly raised her hand towards Kai's shoulder and cast a spell. "Etherial Shroud...."
An ethereal white light began to glow on Kai's shoulder. The light was so bright that it caused the villagers to shut their eyes for a moment till the light faded away. Just as Villagers open their eyes, they spot a tiny palm-sized fairy sitting on Kai's shoulder. She had sea-colored eyes, grey hair, and delicate silver wings.
Luna flew from Kai's shoulder, "I'm Luna." She introduced herself to the villagers.
"Thank Me...!!!" Luna said to the Old man with excitement.
Villagers, including the Old man, were shocked to see a fairy. They couldn't believe their own eyes. They could not believe they were seeing a living fairy with their own eyes. Luna flew around the Old man, leaving a magical trail behind her. "You looked shocked, and you haven't thanked me. Why?" Luna spoke.
The Old man instantly replied, "You're a fairy...But they went Extinct after the Great War."
"You're saying I'm supposed to be dead, that's mean," Luna stated.
Before the Old Man or any other Villager could speak, Luna giggled and spoke again, "Living or Dead, You Need to Thank Me..."
"Thank me," Luna spoke in a childish tone.
The Old man smiles after seeing Luna's childish behaviour. "Thank you for everything you have done for us."
Luna gave a satisfied smile to the Old man and responded, "See, that was not hard." As she finished, she returned to Kai's shoulder and sat on it.
Kai gazes at the smiling villager before him and asks, "Everyone of you possesses magical abilities, right? " The Villagers responded with a nod.
Kai's fist clenched in anger as he saw the villager just nodding in approval. " There are countless of you in here, and there were only twenty rogues, yet all of you sat down while the rogue raided, your houses killed your man, tortured a child in front of your eyes."
Kai continued his lecture, "But all of you just sat and cried. How pathetic, I shouldn't even come here."
One Villager spoke up. "They were too strong for us. We were no match for them..."
"DID YOU EVEN TRY!" As Kai spoke, he tightened his fist in anger. His breath became sharp, his crimson eyes stared down the villager with intense anger and rage.
"Step..."
Kai took one step forward to the villagers. He had become rageful after hearing that one villager's response, but just as he took one step forward, the entire village crowd took a few steps backward.
Eiera stepped in front of Kai, her hand resting gently on his chest. 'Stop, Kai,' she said softly, her eyes pleading with him. 'They've already had a rough day.' Her touch and her words were like a soothing balm to his rage, and he took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside him.
Kai shifted his crimson gaze towards Eiera. He looked straight into her gleaming eyes for a moment before he shifted towards the villagers again. "Gather Your Things, We Are Leaving!! "
"We Do Not Need To Stay In A Village Full Of Cowards....." Kai spoke while staring at the Villagers.
Hearing Kai's harsh words, the villagers realise the mistake they had made. They approach Kai. "Please forgive us, and stay with us." Villagers pleaded with Kai.
"I don't forgive, let's go," Kai stated.
The Old man stepped forward. "Today is a very special night for our Kingdom, just one night."
Luna also spoke to Kai, "Kai, there's no harm in staying one night." Kai looked at Luna as he spoke. "You know my reasons very well," his voice was firm as ever.
Eiera spoke up, addressing the Villagers. "Don't worry, we will stay the night." Villagers got happy as they heard Eiera's words.
Kai looked at Eiera with confusion. Eiera moved closer, placing a gentle hand on Kai's shoulder. She leaned in, her breath warm against his ear as she whispered, "Kai, we are staying. I hope you understand it." She gave Kai an innocent threat.
Kai looks at the determination glowing in her eyes. "Fine."
As Kai agreed to stay, the Villagers took Kai and his friends to rest in a village house. While they clear the corpses of their fallen soldier and rogues.
A few hours later, Villagers are decorating the entire village. While Hiroshi walked toward the house where Kai and his friends were staying.
Hiroshi started looking in the rooms searching for something. Hiroshi slowly opened the first room door enough to peek in, he saw Eiera, Rin, and Luna casually sitting, after seeing all three of them.
Hiroshi swiftly closed the door, but Eiera had noticed him. "Come in," Hearing Eiera's soothing voice, Hiroshi hesitated first after a moment, he stepped into the room.
Hiroshi nervously stepped into the room. Eiera offered Hiroshi to take a seat. "You were looking for Kai, weren't you?"
Hiroshi looked at Eiera, "Yes, I wanted to thank him."
"Well, brother is not here, you can tell me if you like, and I'll tell him on your behalf," Rin spoke to Hiroshi.
"No, I can tell him at the function tonight," Hiroshi replied. "Fine with me," Rin spoke.
Luna joins the conversation as she flies and sits on Hiroshi's shoulder. "So what is this event everyone is preparing for?" She asked, "Actually, it's a birthday." Hiroshi continues, "It's the birthday of the prince of Celestria; the King is going to decorate the entire kingdom for his oldest son's birthday."
