Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Cleaning Up the Trash

Qin Hongling, the eldest of the Qin Family, didn't know what Old Master Qin had said to Yunyi, but he felt compelled to make his stance clear. "Yunyi, from now on, you'll have to face life on your own. As the old saying goes, it's better to rely on oneself than on anyone else. I was thinking of arranging a job for you as a form of compensation. What do you think?"

Yunyi shook her head. He's so insincere. "There's no need for the job," she said. "My grandfather has already arranged everything for me."

With that, she took a Jade Pendant out of her backpack. "This was the token given by the Qin Family."

Before Old Master Qin could say anything, Wu Lijuan quickly took out a jade bracelet wrapped in velvet from her coat pocket and handed it to Yunyi. "Take good care of this. From now on, you and our Jianghui have nothing more to do with each other."

Yunyi didn't entertain her nonsense. Once she confirmed it was the Chu Family's property, she put it away.

Seeing that all necessary matters were concluded, she politely declined Old Master Qin's offer to stay for a meal and took her leave from the Qin Family.

At last, another matter was settled.

Next, it was time to get down to real business!

Yunyi had changed her attire in advance and found a secluded spot to wait. Before long, she saw the despicable man and shameless woman enter one after the other.

Looking at Su Aiyu, Yunyi couldn't help but wonder, What on earth does Sun Ruiming see in her?

Though Su Aiyu might be considered pretty in a delicate, unassuming way, she was no match for the body's original owner.

As for family background, Su Aiyu's father was an ordinary worker at the steel rolling mill, and her mother was a temporary worker in the cafeteria of a textile factory. With five children to support, their life was incredibly tight.

Was this just a case of 'every pot has its lid,' them simply clicking like that?

When she heard Su Aiyu speak, Yunyi suddenly remembered. So, the girl who spoke at the memorial hall that day was her! That explains it!

Confirming they were deeply engrossed in their nauseating display of affection, she quickly left her hiding spot.

She didn't need to find anyone else; to make things easier, she had already made preparations.

She first ran to the neighborhood committee office at the street corner ahead, just as several young activists were emerging. Feigning panic and gasping for breath, she exclaimed, "Comrades, there's someone acting indecently in a dilapidated courtyard in Feng's Alley!"

The young activists were alarmed. Their attention was entirely captured by the words 'someone acting indecently,' and they didn't even notice who the informant was. One of them waved his hand decisively. "Let's go check it out!"

As they ran off, Yunyi dashed towards the nearby police station. Naturally, she planned a two-pronged attack to ensure they were firmly nailed to the pillar of shame.

Seeing that the police had also been dispatched, she discreetly retreated, dusted off her hands with satisfaction, and headed towards the department store. I don't even need to watch to imagine their fate, she thought.

It wasn't that she didn't want to witness their miserable state from afar; she was simply pressed for time. With many tasks to complete before heading to the countryside, she couldn't afford to waste a moment.

Meanwhile, Sun Ruiming and Su Aiyu were in for a terrible ordeal.

Just as they were lost in their passion, they were suddenly surrounded by a crowd—the scene spoke for itself.

Su Aiyu, the first to realize something was wrong, let out a piercing scream, which shocked Sun Ruiming so badly he went completely limp.

Terror filled Su Aiyu's face. It's over, flashed through her mind.

Sun Ruiming was also stunned. He couldn't believe it. They had met secretly in this place so many times without issue. How could they have been discovered today?

Before Sun Ruiming could even try to explain, the crowd descended on them, punching and kicking their naked bodies. The curses and insults hurled at them were as vile as could be.

The attackers weren't just members of the neighborhood committee. Many were onlookers who had gathered to watch the spectacle. Some even used the opportunity to vent their own frustrations or take advantage of the chaotic situation.
