"Stinky Dad! I'm ignoring you!" she declared, trying to scramble off Lin Feng's lap. After getting down, she ran off with a PITTER-PATTER of feet to complain to her brothers and sisters.
Lin Feng called out to her, "Stop right there!"
This was one of the few times Lin Feng had ever been stern with Xiao Bao; he had never spoken a harsh word to her before. Startled, the little girl turned to glance at her father and managed to hold back her tears.
Lin Feng walked over and patiently explained his reasoning to her once more. "Daddy knows your little feet are white and fragrant. But it's dirty inside your shoes... If we aren't hygienic and get sick, we'll need a shot, and it will hurt just like a vaccination."
Xiao Bao nodded, a fearful look on her face.
Lin Feng asked, "From now on, you can't put your little feet in the vegetable washing basin, understand?"
Xiao Bao nodded. "Got it!"
