Chapter 4827 - Chapter 4827: Opening the Door

Chapter 4827: Opening the Door

The barrier of the Wall of Worlds looked ordinary on the surface, no different from a normal world barrier, but in truth it was countless times more solid.

If the Calamity Scepter smashed down on the barrier of even a Primal Chaos Heaven and Earth, it could blow a massive hole in it.

Yet now, when it struck the Wall of Worlds' barrier, not even a ripple appeared.

Instead, a tremendous counter force rebounded.

The Primal Chaos Gem shrieked as it was flung away, completely out of control.

The entire Calamity Scepter blazed with light.

No matter how the gem tried to control it, nothing worked.

If Lin Moyu had not expected this and let go in time, he would have been dragged along as well.

Looking at the now visible barrier, he recalled how he had struck it before.

Back then, his strength had been much weaker, and the rebound had not been so intense.

At the time, he had thought that once he became strong enough, he could shatter it.

Now he understood: as long as he did not take that next step, no amount of power could break it.

Yet if he could not enter the Wall of Worlds, he could not take that step.

It was like a dead loop, which meant that brute force was not the answer.

It was a long while before the Calamity Scepter flew back.

The Primal Chaos Gem clutched its head and yelled, "This damned thing is way too hard!"

Lin Moyu smiled.

"Hard is normal."

The gem said, "But I have a feeling that I could smash it."

"Oh?"

Lin Moyu was surprised.

After a moment's thought, a possibility occurred to him.

A portion of the Primal Chaos Gem's memories had been sealed, and along with them a portion of its power.

If that seal were undone, the gem might be able to unleash its full strength.

At that point, if the Calamity Scepter struck again, it just might break through.

It was not that brute force was absolutely useless it was that brute force at this level was useless.

If someone reached the same level as that supreme Master, brute force would naturally work.

It was like wood trying to smash steel it never could.

But if one day the wood became steel, then using steel to smash steel would at least result in mutual injury.

By this logic, it was entirely possible that the Primal Chaos Gem, the Calamity Scepter, and that Master were on the same level.

This deduction seemed reasonable, but the true answer would have to wait for the future.

For now, the situation was simple: he could not break the barrier.

The gem rubbed its head; that last impact had really hurt.

"Master, what do we do now?"

Lin Moyu laughed.

"If we cannot smash it, then we open a door."

He flicked his finger, and the Primal Chaos Jade Formation Disc flew out and gently attached itself to the barrier.

The disc glowed softly, runes flashing as it evolved formations in response to Lin Moyu's thoughts.

Formations rose and fell one after another.

Each array looked similar at first glance, but closer inspection showed that every one was slightly different.

In just an instant, hundreds of formations had already been born and destroyed.

The Primal Chaos Gem could not make sense of it.

"Master, what are you doing?"

Lin Moyu said, "Looking for the key looking for the door."

In his deduction, entering the Wall of Worlds required the correct key, and formations were that key.

Formations came in endless varieties, but there was only one true key.

It had to be found.

As formations rose and fell, Lin Moyu carefully sensed the changes in the Wall of Worlds.

The barrier was not fixed; it shifted in ten extremely subtle patterns.

Those shifts were like a chaotic stream, flowing everywhere, with no one able to predict where it would go in the next instant, nor whether it might suddenly flow backward.

There was no trick to dealing with it.

The only way forward was to rely on a foundation in formations strong enough to compare and search until the right match appeared.

Lin Moyu had plenty of patience.

His Dao heart had been tempered countless times and was utterly unshakable.

If it did not work in a day, he would try for a hundred days.

If a hundred days were not enough, a hundred years or a thousand.

He was in no hurry; he would find it.

The Primal Chaos Gem naturally did not rush him.

It sat on his shoulder and watched the formations rise and vanish before them.

Days passed, and in the blink of an eye Lin Moyu had been at it for ten years.

Hundreds of formations appeared and vanished with every breath.

Who knew how many arrays had been cycled through in those ten years, yet the barrier seemed unchanged.

The gem asked doubtfully, "Master, will this really work?"

Lin Moyu smiled.

"Have you not noticed that in these ten years, the barrier has never once faded out?"

The gem's eyes lit up.

"That is right why did I not think of that?"

The barrier of the Wall of Worlds only became visible when struck by a huge impact, and it usually disappeared again shortly thereafter.

Yet now it had remained visible for a full ten years.

This meant that for ten years straight, it had been subjected to external influence.

Since only Lin Moyu was here, the influence had to be coming from his formations.

However, the formations were not attacking the barrier if they were, there would be a rebound.

This meant the formations were affecting the barrier, and in a significant way.

Lin Moyu's formations were like an ill fitting key inserted into a lock, changing shape over and over to adapt to that lock.

Each change of shape was another attempt to unlock it, and that was why the barrier refused to vanish.

The Primal Chaos Gem was not foolish.

It understood that Lin Moyu was on the right track; its master had found the correct method.

Lin Moyu remained patient and kept trying.

After a full fifty years, the barrier suddenly showed a faintly anomalous reaction.

The formation within the jade disc abruptly stopped cycling.

Light burst from Lin Moyu's eyes.

"Found it."

He pointed forward, and the Primal Chaos Jade Formation Disc flared again, its light illuminating a vast area.

A formation taken shape in response no longer hovering on the surface, but sinking into the barrier itself.

The barrier blossomed with rosy light.

A portal naturally emerged.

Lin Moyu put away the jade disc.

"That will do."

The Primal Chaos Gem cried, "Master, it really worked!"

Lin Moyu smiled.

"Success was only a matter of time.

"Let us go see what lies inside."

Lin Moyu thus became the tenth Primal Chaos apex powerhouse in endless years to enter the Wall of Worlds.

Once he stepped through, the Wall of Worlds returned to normal.

The doorway vanished, the barrier faded, and Lin Moyu was nowhere to be seen.

After he passed through, Lin Moyu realized that his connection to the Primal Chaos Heaven and Earth had been cut.

Not only that, but the spell realm was silent; all spells were sealed and could not be used.

The Living Beings' Chessboard, the Purple Gold Thunder Pagoda, and the Primal Chaos Jade Formation Disc were all suppressed, losing their aura.

Only the Calamity Scepter remained in his hand, but the Primal Chaos Gem had fallen silent.

The space here was filled with a powerful, unfathomable force that suppressed everything.

This suppression was even stronger than in the God Servant Hall.

There, he had at least been able to sense what was happening and could still feel that his "newborn talent" worked to some degree.

Here, however, he could sense nothing at all, not even the newborn talent completely sealed.

This place was utterly cut off from the outside world.

Aside from his own body and soul, nothing could be used.

"No…there is still one thing left."

"My Formation Dao has not been suppressed."

A rune shimmered in Lin Moyu's palm the Dao of formations still functioned.

With the Formation Dao usable, his heart steadied.

He still had the strength to fight.

Beneath his feet stretched a path of purple qi extending into the distance.

All around was void, filled with countless origin level heavenly treasures, more than could be imagined.

Back when the Word God Heaven and Earth had collected all the origin treasures spewed out by the worlds, that trove had still been less than one ten millionth of what he saw here.

Following the purple qi onward, he walked for an unknown length of time and distance before something else finally appeared in his field of vision.

A door.
