Chapter (41):great escape part 2
In a dark place, deep within the factory.....
Talos was sitting in his dark room, where nothing was visible on his body except a red light in what seemed to be his head.
"Everything is [spectacular], now everything has gone according to scenario C, and now, no matter what those [glitches] do, it's futile.....[The predicted path].... is that they either wait until the [lives] of these two expire or take [scenario B] and attempt a desperate escape, but they will end up, regardless of their strength. I have the advantage of preparation and strategies, everything is in my hands."
"Now impress me, you [bugs], show me your intelligence."
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a place in the room where Being X and Smiley were exploded, and Talos saw that they had left and headed to a specific location.
"Huh? They finally decided to move, but it's useless. The result was [downloaded] from the beginning."
Talos looked through the cameras and saw that this clown and the masked person were aiming their gun directly at him. Suddenly, the camera turned black, and not only that, but strange objects flew at high speed, disabling two more of his cameras. However, in the last two seconds, he noticed that they were, in fact, knives.
"Wait, are they destroying the cameras? How [foolish] of them to think this could hinder me. This place is [my domain], and the golems are my eyes in the factory. You cannot escape from [inevitability]."
"Activate [synchronization]."
Suddenly, his perspective shifted to that of one of the golems he had sent to guard the door. As they advanced, Talos saw the clown boy who had fought him before.
"This [thing] is the real problem. He has strength and speed that [humans] shouldn't possess. Eliminating him should be an [absolute] priority."
Talos moved the golem's body toward Smiley, but to his surprise, Smiley dashed forward with even greater speed, catching him off guard. Smiley seized the opportunity and swung his knife toward the golem's head, piercing it.
Talos lost his vision, but that didn't mean he lost the ability to move the body. He moved his arm and grabbed Smiley's arm, issuing the self-destruct command.
[Activate self-destruct]
!
Boom
The moment the golem exploded, Talos quickly synchronized with another, ensuring his command was carried out.
He synchronized with another golem and went to deal with the masked person, who aimed a fire cannon at him, but the golem lowered its body in a strange manner.
"Surrendering to your fate? [Logical]."
The moment the cannon was about to fire, the golem's shoes glowed, and it dashed at high speed toward the masked person's arm, redirecting the cannon's shot toward the wall, which was instantly destroyed.
"[What?] Are these shoes? Wait a minute [data analysis]... There's no record in the factory's database of any shoes like these... Just a prototype? Information... [incomplete]...?"
But that wasn't the part that surprised him. The surprising part was that when the masked person aimed their gun at him, the golem moved.
But before it could sink its claws into Emma, something rushed toward it and cut an oil pipe, slowing its movement. The last thing it saw was the clown's face.
"[What] [What] He survived?..... How [is it possible] for him to survive without a single scratch on his body?"
"It doesn't matter. The golems have surrounded them from all directions. I've determined the [outcome] since they left."
When Talos tried to synchronize with another golem, the scene changed to one where he saw the masked girl from a different angle. But before he could do anything, the clown boy rushed in and kicked the golem with great force, sending them both flying. Before they could stand up, Smiley appeared and cut their pipes, then ignited a spark with his knife and immediately moved away.
When the spark touched the leaking oil, the golem caught fire and exploded instantly, followed by the rest of the golems, resulting in a massive explosion that shook the factory. Before Talos could react, he saw the masked person and the clown escaping through a hole in the wall.
"[What][What][What]
"They're not trying to [escape]. Are they causing chaos? For what? Do they have a [plan]?"
Talos synchronized with another golem and chased after them. Through the smoke, he saw the masked person and tried to grab them, but they moved quickly and disappeared. When Talos turned around, the last thing he saw was the masked person pointing a gun at his head, and the sound of the gunshot was the last thing he knew before his vision turned dark.
The self-destruct activated since there was no further use, but before it was completely destroyed, he felt something pulling him and heard a sliding sound, then was pushed rapidly toward the wall, where it exploded. When Talos synchronized again, he saw that...
"This is [random] [illogical], it makes no [sense], absolute stupidity!"
...
Earlier... where Emma and Smiley were.
"Smiley, listen carefully to my plan."
"Our entire plan revolves around chaos."
"Yes.....what?"
"We will play a cat-and-mouse game until we find some way out and escape. We'll create chaos around the place and the entrance, then leave quickly," Emma replied.
"Okay, that's weird."
"Stupid, I know, but our options are limited in this situation," Emma responded.
"I mean, we could easily just run and get out of here," Smiley asked simply.
"Smiley, this is the only solution we have," Emma spoke tiredly, looking down.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Smiley asked.
"Thalus is smart—smart enough to trap us with the Golems."
"As soon as we open the door, the Golems will flood into that room like a tsunami, leaving us with very few options," Emma replied.
"First, running blindly will lead to death. Even if we miraculously reach the door by sheer luck, his monsters will trap us at the exit like rats in a cage."
"That's why we have to somehow lure all the Golems into one place and quickly escape to the exit door."
"Oooh.....So what if we go to that weird tools room? The one where we found the closet when you were screaming?"
"You.....That's impossible. He definitely took everything from that room. Plus, he wouldn't leave a place like that unguarded," Emma spoke with some anger.
"Then how about this—we dig our way out, and bam! We're free."
"It'll take too long to get out, not to mention he might notice and bury us underground," Emma replied.
"Then what about going up? We'll make our way straight to the surface!"
"Smiley, are you stupid? This factory is two stories high. If we make any opening, the Golems will flood toward us like sewer rats," Emma said.
"Then how about this? We go to Talos and crush him completely!" Smiley said cheerfully.
"What?! Have you forgotten how many golems came out? And we don't even know what kind of monster he is!" Emma shouted.
"Why do you always reject my ideas?" Smiley asked with a fake frown.
"Because you're completely insane. Every idea you've had would lead to our deaths," Emma shouted angrily.
"You came to me because of your dream. You wanted to find that troll who caused your nightmare," Smiley replied.
"Yeah, because I wanted to know who did this, not to go on a grand escape adventure from a factory full of monsters!" Emma shouted.
"For once, stop acting like a little girl."
"Shut up, clown face," Emma said angrily.
"Vampire girl," Smiley retorted sarcastically.
"Annoying idiot!" Emma said.
"Bookworm!" Smiley shot back.
They both looked at each other, and Emma closed her eyes for a second before speaking.
"You, you're really...." Emma looked at Smiley, then looked down for a second before closing her eyes and smiling... "Hahahahaha..."
"Huh?" Smiley asked in confusion.
"Are you okay, girl?"
"No, it's just... it's been a while since I've screamed like that. It reminded me of how I used to argue with my friends..... It's been so long."
"Your friend?" Smiley asked as he sat closer to Emma.
"Yeah, from what I remember, the last time I argued like that was with my friend Jenny."
"So, what was Jenny like?" Smiley asked.
"She was a girl unlike me—people loved her. I met her when I was 10, and we became friends, along with two others, Lisa and Maria."
"So what happened to make you drift apart?" Smiley asked.
"It was actually something really silly at the time."
"We were arguing about going to a party. She had been invited to a friend's party, and they all decided to go. They asked me if I was coming with them."
"I told them I was busy studying because we had a test at school, but Jenny insisted I go to the party. We yelled at each other over the phone and hung up."
"We stopped talking, and when the day of the supermarket attack came, they were worried about me and talked to me. But when Andrew appeared—the biggest monster in school—they never spoke to me again."
"Time passed without me realizing it, but I completely forgot what it felt like to have a friend. I don't know if it was because Sarah and Jessica started tormenting me to the point where I forgot this... the feeling of having a friend," Emma said.
"A friend to talk to, a friend to get angry with, a friend to argue with, a friend to laugh and smile with," she continued.
"Seems like we're both clowns," Smiley said sarcastically.
"Yeah, seems so," Emma replied.
"Then how about this? I'll execute your plan along with mine. We'll merge our plans together," Smiley said, explaining his idea.
"What?... Wait, can you do that... If that's true, then we might actually be able to escape," Emma said.
"That might be a crazy idea, but it could work," Emma said.
"Then what are we waiting for?come on let's give some Surprise's" Smiley asked.
