CHAPTER 26
ALEXIA P. O. V
The Sun was peering from outside straight from to my eyes was the first thing that woke me up the second was a white fluffy animal curled up next to me in the bed
"What the.....?"I murmured
*Gasps* "is you from yesterday but how did you get here?"
It just purred and came closer to me sitting on my lap
"You are so soft" it purr again
"What will l call you?"
"How about 'cherub'?"
It hissed at that
"Fine how about 'cookie'"
"Still a no, huh?
"What about 'snowy' going by your skin?"
"Didn't hissed at that, 'snowy' it is" I said excitedly
"But where did you come from?"
Then the door to my room opened and then came Maddy with medicines
"Hey Maddy do you know where it came from?"I asked
"No l have no idea Miss, should I take her out?"
"No, erm... What are you doing?"
"Miss is important you take your medicine"
"But l don't want to, l'm already okay as you can see"
"But Miss you still have to complete the dose"
"No thank you"
Then covered myself in the safety of my blankets there was no way l would willingly take that bitter thing into my mouth again
"Miss...
"What is going on here"
My head instantly swipe in the direction of the voice
"Nothing, l was just telling Maddy here how excited am l to take my drugs" I nervously smiled and forcibly swallowed the drugs
"But Miss you...."
"Wasn't l Maddy!?"I interrupted
"Yes Miss"
"Excuse us" Asher said to Maddy
I lowered my head waiting for the next scolding
"How are you feeling?"
I looked up shocked
"I.... I'm fine?" I stammered
"Hmmm" he glanced over at snowy on my lap
"I see you like your gift"
"This was your doing?"
He neither answer nor deny
"I like it, but....
"But?...
"H...how did you know l wanted it?"
"I didn't but it was very stubborn and beautiful when l first saw it and it reminded me of you so l guessed you two will suit well together"
Beautiful? He thought l was beautiful? I could feel my cheeks turning red
"Thank you, l like it very much"
"Good to know, you can leave if you like seeing as you have healed" and with that he turned and walk away
"Umm... Asher?" I called out
He halted and l realized I just called him by his first name
"I'm mean Mr Slade?"
"You can call me by my name"
I nodded
"Thank you for saving me and for your hospitality and l'm sorry for my attitude before"
He nodded then left
"That went well, didn't it snowy"
"Come on let's go"
"Strangely enough, l'm gonna miss this place especially the ocean view" I said looking at the mansion 'and someone' I thought *sighs*
"You can come back anytime you want" I turned back to see Asher approaching me
"Thank you for the offer but that'll be inappropriate but l can come by to watch the scenery "
"If you say so"
Just then my phone rang
"Oh hey l'm sending you my location now for you.... Hey" I shouted as Asher took my phone and end the call
"What was that for?"
"We haven't discuss my form of repayment yet"
"Repayment?"
He nodded
"Ok fine what repayment do you want?"
He smirked "get in the car first"
During the whole ride we didn't say anything to each other
"How is your injury?" He asked
"Oh um is fine, l mean it still hurts but is fine" I didn't want to tell anybody about my abnormal healing ability
"Alexia"
"Yes?
"You know you can tell anything, right?"
I slowly nodded
"£rm Asher?"
"Hmm"
"Why are you suddenly nice to me"
"Do l need a reason?"
"No is just that you are usually cold and aloof, you don't seem to care about the people around you and also l thought you were mad at me for what l did the last time l was at your house that was why you avoided me"
"I was never angry at you l just needed to sort out some things first and l'm not the type of man to express himself when it comes to people"
"Oh that's true"
We pulled up at my house
"Look what l'm trying to say Alexia is you can trust me" he looked at me very intently
Did he know something that l don't?
"O...Kay?, But l'm not a child l can take care of myself, thanks for the ride" and with that I left the car
"Alexia"he called out,l turned around
"How is the project at the company going?"
I felt a wave of disappointment wash over me 'so this is what he really wanted to ask' come to think it if something happen to me the project wouldn't be able to move on, he didn't care but then again he shouldn't, we barely know eachother l shouldn't jump into conclusions next time
"So far so Good Mr Slade" I said that but l was far from good but l quickly went inside
I angrily removed the bandage from my head and lay on the bed. I was angry....at myself, why would I think just because we shared a Kiss we shared something special obviously l was the only one feeling that way but that ends now, l clench my fist and went to my office.
I opened my computer to be swarm with work, my pet lazily lay on floor probably sleeping ' I still don't know why he gave you to me' I thought.
