ALEXIA P. O. V
"Wakey wakey birthday girl" a smooth voice told me and then a freaking cold water was splash all over me
"What the hell" I screamed
While Clara and Naomi cackled like hyenas
"Well you wouldn't wake up so we had to improvise" Clara explained holding a bowl
"Oh you are so gonna p.....
"How's your head"
"Hmm oddly fine, l feel much better "
"Great,now let's get you ready "
"Wait l thought the party wasn't until the evening "
"It still is but we want to get ready to overlook the preparations" Naomi explain
"I heard there's going to be a full moon to night" Clara said
"You are lucky "Clara nudge me
"But we haven't a breakfast yet" I said
"We'll on the way"
"Now let's go" Naomi grabbed me
Hours later we arrived at this beautiful place it was the beach the place was already well decorated just missing the people. The cool breeze, sounds of the overlapping water made me fall in love with the place
"Is perfect, thank you so much both of you" I hugged them
"See told you will love it" they said
Hours later people have already started arriving at the party, and it has started with the music blasting loud extra loud if l may add. The sun was going down making it a lovely view
"Come on Alexia"
Clara and Naomi were already dressed and they look like total super models. Clara had her blonde hair tied up in a messy bun and her signature green eyes match immersely with her green dress while Naomi let down brown wavy hair matching her cute dress and her amber eyes shone brightly.
I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself, l decided to let hair down and l almost looked perfect but only l know l am far from perfect, l touch my neck where l wore a sapphire necklace to match my eyes and...
"Hey does my skin looks a little more pale than usual to you guys or is it just me?" I asked
"Yeah it does look paler, are you unwell?" Clara touch my forehead
"Your eyes also look like they have been drained out of their colour" Naomi added
"Her temperature is okay" Clara informed Naomi
"Maybe is probably stress, nothing serious" I brushed it off
"Yh your right after this party l want you to have take a week off no.. a month off and l'll be watching you" Clara warned
"Ok ok let's go" I smiled
Coming down to the party it was already in full swing, there was a big banner written"Happy birthday Alexia"
"You really went all out C, Clara?"
Unfortunately Clara and Naomi have gone on full party mode, l took a drink from a waiter passing by and headed for some few people l know the rest was just Clara friends
"You came" I said to the doctor
"Of course, you look stunning by the way"
"Thank you, l hope you are enjoying the party so far"
"Of course is splendid, l heard they'll will be full moon later are you prepared for it?
" what's there to be prepared for is just a moon"
He looked at me strangely then said
"For some people is just a moon but you'll soon know the two sides of it, enjoy the party"
"Two sides of it, what does he mean?"
I was still pondering about it when I heard a voice behind me
"Good evening "
I turned around to see a tall man probably in his twenties in a black tuxedo and he was grinning at me
"Good evening " I responded
"Are you by chance Alexia?"
"Yes? Do l know you"
"No not really, even l just met you now"
"Then how did you know my name "
"Because the celebrant of this party is clearly Alexia thanks to that " he pointed at the banner
"And you are way too gorgeous to be a guest so l guessed you were Alexia "
"Smart since you know my name, it is only fair l know yours"
"Excuse my manners, my name is Dylan"
"Nice to meet you, Dylan" I shook his hand but he took mine and kissed it and that didn't sit well with me
Don't get me wrong Dylan is handsome he has brown-golden hair and dark eyes, his face was perfect and l'm sure he has girls oogling all over him and unfortunately l'm not one of them. I was about to excuse myself when l saw Asher and ..... Julia in his arms, why will Clara invite them without my permission!!! I was livid if he could have fun why can't I too, is not like l care
"So Dylan, l haven't seen you around before"
"Well l haven't been in the the city for a while, l had been with my father helping me with a thing or two"
"Is that so, what bring you back"
"Well l decided to be independent and also have a peaceful life"
"Weren't you having a peaceful life before?"
"Well if you call letting the zoo's animal go loose or burning a whole mansion by accident peaceful then l'm the most peaceful person you will ever meet".
I laughed so hard " how did you manage to burn down a whole mansion "
"Well l admit, l may have forgotten to turn off the stove"
I laughed again l wanted to use Dylan as a distraction turns out he was fun to chat with
"Can l say?, You look so gorgeous like a princess"
"Thanks"
"So your Highness, will you give me the honour of your first dance" he said in a funny British accent then he literally bowed, this guy is interesting
"Of course,my Lord" I played along with the same funny accent
We went over to the dance floor and he unexpectedly drag me closer by the waist, l blinked clearly flustered
"So Alexia tell me about yourself"
"You are gonna try harder than that, loverboy, I don't go around telling people my story"
"Ok let me guess, you are an actress "
Gag "I hate acting "
"Model?"
"Nah the high heels aren't for me"
"Influencer, yeah definitely an influencer"
"Wrong "
"Come on girl, give me a hint here"
I shook my head
"Do you have a boyfriend " he popped up the question out of nowhere
"Wow, you are rusher aren't you "
"I guess you could say that"
"Well l can't answer that"
"Oh come on" I chuckled
"Even though you do indeed have a boyfriend l'm still going to actively pursue you"
"Let's watch and see"
Suddenly he dragged me closer to him our faces inches apart I quickly turned my face away, l could feel piercing gaze from my back but l didn't look
"Excuse me" I left Dylan at the dance floor
I bumped into Clara
"Hi" she said
"Hey"
"How are you enjoying the party" she screamed
"Well is great so far, why did you invited Julia?" I asked
"What" she screamed
"Why did you invite Julia?" I screamed
"Wait, Julia is here?" she stopped dancing
I nodded
"Who the hell invited her l'm going to kick her butt this minute"
"She's with your brother"
"Oh, l'm sorry"
"No Biggie let's just enjoy the party
"Oh see Alexia the moon is so beautiful"
"Yeah it is, arrgh" I screamed
The headaches were back but it was ten times worse,my ears were about to burst with ringing and I could hear every single thing, what the people were saying, the ocean overlapping itself, footsteps, some people clicking their glass, their laughter everything, my teeth l could feel them enlarging by themselves l quickly covered my face and screamed
"Oh my gosh, Alexia are you okay"
I couldn't respond, l could feel my insides were on fire
"Is okay,come with quickly" I heard a male voice
"Wait who are you?"
"I'm a doctor, l can help your friend" he assured and Clara hesitately let me go
I was dragged into a room and then all of a sudden, l lost it, l screamed a sound that wasn't even human
"Alexia l need you to calm down"
I couldn't listen all l paid attention to was blood flowing in his vain and how it looked particularly good, he made his way towards me cautiously
He brought a bag full of square sachets filled with a red liquid,he open one and pour it on the ground, and my sense went haywire before i could pounce on him he step back and kicked the bag towards me and I could faintly saw a white veil surrounding him but I couldn't even think straight, my focus shifted to the bag on the floor and nd ripped it open, gulping all it's contained. Soon my head felt light and dizzy and last thing I could remember where footsteps coming closer
"Everything is going to change now, Alexia"
I could hear the fading voice say
I woke up in my room still in a daze and it wasn't the same l could hear everything single thing the people walking in the streets, people talking, even my eyesight was enhanced l could see the little ants in the corner of the room minding their own business every detail was clear. My head doesn't hurt anymore but I was overwhelmed by the whole situation, the door opened revealing the doctor
"What's happening to me?" I asked with tears in my eyes
"Alexia, calm down this is normal for people like us"
"Normal?!, How is any of this normal"I yelled
"As l said calm down let me explain, Alexia you are a Hybrid"
I stared at him then burst out laughing
"Good one,doc too many scary movie's got your head turning" but he was dead serious
"And why will l believe you" I said
"Because l am also one of your kind" with that he stretch out his fangs, claws and his face was covered with fur then retracted them back, then laugh at my horrid expression
"Calm down Alexia, l'm not going to kill you" he laughed
"So so... That means last night wasn't a dream?"
"No it was real "
"So that means l literally went berserk yesterday"
He nodded and couldn't help but burst out crying
"But l don't understand in those movies you have to be bitten first before you become a hybrid why am l different"
"That l don't know but l will help you through this, so please stop crying"
"Thanks,but why are you even helping me?"
"Because that was my vow to Old Man Will"
"What? I asked dumbfounded " he knew about it but how?"
"I'm afraid l can't tell you yet but now your friends are worried sick about you. Alexia you can't tell anyone about this" he said
"But why?, I won't we never keep anything from each other"
"Alexia this is important, the existence of werewolves and vampire's have been keeping well hidden for some many decades only a few humans know about. Hybrids are even more rarer cases other kinds hunt down our kind and that's why we especially must stay hidden"
' wait did he just say hunted?!!'
" But l have been friends with Naomi and Clara since as l long as l could remember and they know everything about me just as l know myself and l trust them"
"I understand but is too risky l need you too to also understand"
I nodded sadly as a stray tear fell from my eye
He wiped it away and walked away
"Hey Doc?"
"Call me Wyatt"
"Wyatt, was grandpa a hybrid too?"
"No he was a Sorcerer , one I deeply respected, now get some rest" he said and walk out
'why why why' I screamed in my head l hate all this why does it have to be me, was l being punished for something l did?
