Lynx sits outside the clock tower his hand a blaze as he watches over the fires controlling it away from the civilians. "Alright my side is clear, hope things work well on your side." [Lynx] placing his hand by his neck communicating with the others.
"Let's hope so." [Taliah] removing her fingers from her neck, placing her hand in her bag. Pulling out a rifle with cogs clicking by the magazine, she rubs her finger across the body of the rifle clicking over a cog sticking out near the hammer. Alucard smiles "Alright! Let's get it done!" [Alucard] he declares spinning his revolver several times before pointing it out towards the entrance.
All the while Alexander makes his way to the top of the tower. Each steps almost seems to give him this exiliration. Not from the intensity of his push to the top, but the blood lust from earlier just kept increasing. ("What is this feeling, is it excitement...But I've never felt this feeling before.") [Alexander] his blood lust rises as he walks up the stairs.
All the while something within the clock tower was stirring. Within a box of random and busted Gears. Taliah and Alucard remains still fully unaware of the stirring.
However the young man was aware. Almost as if the trauma was waking him up as the Gears rustle. This had happened many times before. The stirring and the trauma and the desire to escape. His eyes look for a clock almost hoping that he will be set free for yet another day but this time he sees them. Alucard and Taliah. He was unaware of the girl but he feared the man, the Revenant a vampiric monster that filled his every nightmare from childhood. The tales told of them frightened him so much, he feared what he would do but the woman. She was normal, she was more than normal.
She was a Gearsmith, he wasn't even sure why he was sure of this but he just knew. The thing he found most odd however was that their weapons weren't facing each other but rather door. Could they be working together...but why Revenant hunt and eat humans and here they are standing side by side.
What is coming? Was the main thought on his mind and almost as if to answer that question Alexander came bursting through the door. The young man's pained skin shudders and goes cold.
Are they fighting him. Is he that powerful that they have to work together. No way. I'm never getting out of here. His mind races. However this was when the woman's voice breaks through the noise of his mind.
"Alexander Wolf: The Ripper, you are here by formally placed under arrest for 50 counts of murder, 3 counts of attempted murder and attacking Rangers." [Taliah] her voice rings out with authority but almost falls on deaf ears.
"What are you on about, your the criminals who are causing property damage." [Alexander] his words reach out with confusion but this just gets a scoff back from the woman. "You really didn't notice your victim behind us or rather couldn't accuse us of something you knew we didn't do." [Taliah] she says almost gouding him to act.
Alexander steps back his eyes locking with the young man. He wanted to be out raged. He wanted to shout about how could someone do this. This however wasn't the case, he just smiled as the memories of carving his art flooded his mind.
The young man was horrified. Asking why would they remind him, why would they try and bring him back, just kill him just keep him away.
"Good your remember, that means this will be a lot more fun." [Alucard] the voice of the Revenant rings out almost as if his waiting for something big to happen. The young man however just looks for a clock to hope for the reset but his mind rushing almost seems to keep his eyes away from the clock.
"Why don't you wake up." [Taliah] "What are you talking about!"[Alexander] shouting back at Taliah only for her to shoot at him. The first shot misses but grazes his cheek.
Alexander is stunned almost fearful but that goes away when the blood dripping reaches his lip. He licks it away and smiles manically as the Gears stir further and more violently. His mind almost jumping alive. "You want me come get me!!!" [Alex....Ripper] shouts out loud almost calling a dagger with three Gears traveling down from part way down the blade to the top of the handle.
The blade rips past the pair and into the hand of the Ripper. "You really missed me that much. To bad now your all gonna die." [Ripper] as he grins manically making his way forward.
The young man's panic finally reaches a fever pitch as he sees the clock. Getting a small bit of relief as the time loop with start over again.
The reset begins. The day, the damage, the flames all reset. However Alucard, Taliah and even Alexander did not move. It was too late he had fully completed his sync, he is now a Gearsmith and is unaffected by the timeloop.
"Not that we missed you...we just needed to prove the mortally of the world most prolific killer." [Taliah] she says with a smirk. Alexander however just cackles with a violent laugh spinning his dagger around his hand.
"Then come at me!" [Ripper] he declares gripping his dagger in ice pick grip, in his right hand. He dashes forward towards the pair. Taliah and Alucard fire off. Ripper slices away Taliah's bullets while Alucard's bullets explode around him. "I'm the most dangerous man on the planet I will never get killed by mere Rangers and an acursed Revenant".
Within the eyes of the young man the Ripper looked unbeatable. He drew closer to them. He fears that their plan has just got everyone killed. However he notices the woman was smirking. "All according to plan." [Taliah] she says reaching into her bag and tossing a grenade shaped device with a cog where the pin is. She clicks the cog and tosses it at him.
The grenade Sparks and crackles before blowing up in his face. Alexander leaps back the blast burning a part of his face. He winches with pain, only for a moment before he cackles again. "Oooooo that was good, but I've dealt with tougher opponents." [Ripper] he grins like a maniac.
"No you haven't... especially not the one outside." [Taliah] she states taking her seat back on the box. "You see this is all really just one big show." [Taliah] she continues gesturing for Alucard to holster his gun.
"What are you on about!" [Ripper] he shouts with fire fury in his voice. "You see, I have a reputation, and this guy's a Revenant....but that doesn't compare to The Great Inferno....The Hero of the Black Tide War!!!" [Taliah] declaring as Lynx comes crashing down through the roof. His hands a blaze as he spins and slams in front of him, his fist ripping through Ripper's chest, as he slides back.
Ripper feels the wound on his chest. "Oh, that really stings." [Ripper] he says grunting with pain. "Oh it stung, nice notes, it was meant to burn." [Lynx] he says with a cocky smirk and a playful tone.
Something about that irritated him. It was as if he was looking straight at a ghost from past. The only Ranger to actually fill him with fear. However it want his reaction wasn't the one that mattered.
As the young man really began to resonate with the speech. As every young man around his age was taught about the Black Tide War and more importantly about the man that brought it to an end. This brought the young man something he hasn't felt in a long time...relief.
The relief was felt throughout the town. As ripples of it flowed over. Each ripple restoring a part of the town. Cogs started to appear in certain places and some people started to get faint memories of how odd things are. It just wasn't enough. Lynx had to prove his might before the young man was freed. As The Ripper also had a reputation and it was one that so few could match.
"If you think you can beat me then come and prove it!!!" [Ripper] he shouts as he makes his way over Lynx who sighs, then smirks in stepping into Rippers centre line before floating past his strike and under his arm.
The young man watched in confusion not sure what has just taken place. All he had known was in that moment someone was hit. He just couldn't tell who. That was until Ripper bursts into flames that immediately vanished as he falls to the ground.
The young man was stunned that this man who had haunted him and terrified him for how long was taken out so easily. The very idea that this could finally be the end send relief so deep into his heart that the clock stopped around and burst energy is released. The energy wave spreads across the town until it smacks into the dome. It bursts open like a bubble and everything for a second stops.
As the town reverts to its former self. The citizens are stunned as their memory prior to the timeloop come flooding in. All the while Lynx, Taliah and Alucard watch as the young man sees the chains that bound him break while the barrier fades away.
"Looks like that was easier than expected." [Lynx] as he chuckles while making his way over to the young man. The Young man's limp body tries to press off the ground. Lynx and Taliah however picks up the young man with cheerful smile.
"No worries your safe now." [Taliah] She says grinning ear to ear. All the while Alucard locks eyes with something very interesting. "Is that what I think it is." [Alucard] he says while taking a few steps towards a certain Gear hidden within the Gears.
"Is this what I..."[Alucard] he says with intrigue pulling out the Gear. Lynx was the first to notice this...however before he could say anything Alucard throws the Gear at him. A clockwork sword that sort of resembles a one. The sword stabs the ground next to Lynx.
"Call that a thank you." [Alucard] he says jumping out the window behind him.
Lynx and Taliah stood there confused. "What was that?" [Lynx]. Taliah taking the young man over to Lynx before stepping out towards the sword. "Is this a Clockwork Arm....I guess that makes sense....but if that's the case then that means his a Resonator." [Taliah] she says looking out at the young man confused.
"No way...." [Lynx] looking down at the young man hanging on his shoulder, a little stunned "Man this case got a whole lot more interesting." [Lynx] he says with a massive smile on his face all the while the young man, half in a daze is very confused by the conversation. "What is going on?" He says a little confused while looking at lazily at the pair.
