From his pocket, he took out a Log Pose and tucked it into Koala's pocket. He told her:

"If you ever have nowhere else to go, this Pose will help. Remember what I said, there are many, many others in this world who hate the Celestial Dragons, just like you…"

"Giorno-nii…"

Koala didn't fully understand what Liam meant, but she clearly heard the farewell in his voice. A wave of sorrow welled up in her chest, and she was about to burst into tears again,

When suddenly, she felt her feet leave the ground and the world spin around her.

Liam had grabbed her slight shoulders and, without warning, hurled her into the air with full force.

Back when Zoro first entered the Grand Line, he could already lift boulders weighing several tons, so what about the Liam of now?

With one mighty throw, he sent Koala soaring diagonally, dozens of meters into the sky, flying fast and far… Koala felt the wind howling around her, but because she was a gas-type being, the winds didn't hurt. On the contrary, she felt a thrilling sense of freedom, as though she were flying through the sky on the wind…

But in the corner of her vision, the landscape was spinning wildly. She seemed to be darting through the air, unable to understand what was even happening...

"Perfect throw."

Liam looked up, iron rod on his shoulder, smirking slightly. He leapt into the air and, pop pop pop pop, each step detonating like small explosions underfoot, chased the wind that carried Koala…

Meanwhile, in Koala's home village on the island, one of the villagers suddenly pointed up at the sky road:

"Look… what is that?"

Koala's mother, who looked worn and weary, lifted her head and squinted into the distance. She saw a figure rapidly falling from the sky toward their village.

In the original One Piece manga, Chapter 623, this was the moment when the Sun Pirates returned Koala to her hometown.

When Liam had been flipping through the memories of Cactus Island using the B.I.B. helmet earlier, he had casually skimmed this particular manga chapter.

That's when he noticed something strange.

In the manga, even before Koala made it back home, the villagers had already somehow been informed in advance that she was returning.

Here's how events unfolded in the original timeline:

Roughly two years after Liam and Robin encountered Koala on this island, the Sun Pirates, led by Fisher Tiger, also came across Koala here. Recognizing Tiger as the hero who had boldly stormed Mariejois to free the slaves, the village elder entrusted Koala to him and the other Fish-Men.

After traveling with Koala for a while, the Sun Pirates obtained the Pose for Foolshout Island, and decided to bring her back to her hometown.

When the Sun Pirates' ship arrived, Fisher Tiger went alone to personally return Koala to her village.

There, Koala reunited with her tearful mother and tearfully thanked Tiger for his kindness. However, she soon vaguely heard some movement in the distance. She asked her mother if she heard it too, but her mother said no.

In truth, her mother did hear something.

It was the Marines, who were already clashing with the Fish-Men who had returned Koala.

After parting ways with Koala, Fisher Tiger hadn't gone far before he was ambushed on the road by a squad of Marines. Leading the group was a man whose hair jutted up like an elongated chef's hat, Strawberry, then a Rear Admiral, later one of the five Vice Admirals who would participate in the Buster Call on Enies Lobby.

Strawberry said, "Someone on this island tipped us off… that you would be coming! The people in the village you just visited already knew there'd be some sort of disturbance. In exchange for their cooperation, we agreed to let go of the girl who once belonged to the Celestial Dragons…"

A brutal clash ensued between the Marines and the Sun Pirates. Fisher Tiger was gravely wounded.

Despite losing massive amounts of blood, Tiger refused to accept a human blood transfusion, and as a result, he died from his wounds.

Liam didn't really care much about Tiger's death.

To him, Tiger was a tragic figure destined to die.

Rationally, Tiger understood that only mutual understanding and acceptance between humans and Fish-Men could lead to a better future.

But emotionally, having suffered personally under human slavery, he despised and hated humans from the bottom of his heart.

This internal conflict within Tiger was so intense that his crew ended up divided, some, like Jinbe, became respected heroes of the sea, while others, like Arlong, became extremists who terrorized Nami's home village.

Tiger had lofty ideals, but he could never truly integrate into human society, or even seek their help. So, he simply wandered the Grand Line with his Fish-Man brothers.

He likely understood that reconciliation with humanity was impossible for him. But he still wanted to extend a hand of goodwill, for himself, for Queen Otohime, for the next generation of Fish-Men, and to show the humans above the sea that Fish-Men were not monsters, but just another people who happened to live in the ocean.

But that was the limit of what he could do.

Tiger would rather die than accept human blood. As the most wanted fugitive who had raided Mariejois, his fate was sealed the moment he entered the Grand Line. If not during Koala's return, then it would have happened at some other time. There was no way he would have died peacefully.

What Liam cared about was that someone in Koala's village had tipped off the Marines in advance.

He wasn't too interested in how they got the intel.

But if, in the manga, they had already known ahead of time that the Sun Pirates were returning Koala…

Then there was no reason to assume they hadn't already figured out that the JOJO Pirates, Robin, and himself, were doing the same thing now.

Tch!

Carrying his iron rod, Liam walked through the air. Very quickly, he spotted the small village nestled in the middle of the massive cactus-covered island below.

Koala, who had gone ahead, had already landed.

She landed precisely in the center of a gathering crowd at the village entrance.

"Nice force control, precision grade: A!"

Liam let out a carefree laugh, then swung his iron rod downward from mid-air. An astonishing, blade-like shockwave tore toward the village.

BOOM!

In a single strike, Liam split the landing Koala clean in two.

The villagers froze in shock.

Koala's mother didn't even get the chance to rush to her long-lost daughter. All she saw was Koala being smashed into halves. Her vision went white, and she collapsed, fainting on the spot.

"Damn brat, where are you running?!"

Liam's furious voice came crashing down from the sky.
