Robin's wide sleeves billowed around her, making her resemble a beautiful Daoist priestess with disheveled hair.
Panting, her eyes remained calm... but ultimately, with nowhere left to retreat, she was engulfed in a suffocating embrace by the three zombie-like women.
Zzzzz...
A corrosive hiss erupted from beneath the three poison-ridden women.
"Sister Jolyne!" Rose screamed.
......
As we've established before, great sword heroes typically possess both extraordinary sword speed and impressive mobility.
Haiyna unleashed her full speed, moving like an invisible phantom.
Even Cavendish's second personality, the genius swordsman known as Kamaitachi "Hakuba," couldn't match this speed.
"There!"
Liam's Observation Haki pinpointed Haiyna's landing spot amidst her blinding speed. He swung his basin-sized arm in a devastating blow!
Bang!
His fist, as large as a clay pot and infused with techniques like Finger Pistol, Tempest Kick, and Geppo, shattered the air, leaving a visible trail as it slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater.
"You missed," Haiyna's voice drifted to Liam's side. Her blade, crackling with Armament Haki, slashed toward his neck.
At the same moment, another Black fist, as large as a clay pot, slammed toward Haiyna's neck.
It was B.I.B., seizing the opportunity.
Haiyna had no choice but to abandon her attempt to sever Giorno's head. She retracted her blade and slashed diagonally, repelling the Black Phantom's fist.
"One person with two bodies, able to coordinate so perfectly... What a strange boy."
Haiyna landed gracefully, exhaled deeply, twirled her sword, and vanished again. "This is getting troublesome."
Liam flexed his muscles. "Troublesome for you, more like."
Since the power was derived from Hypnosis, it naturally bypassed conscious control.
"Stop darting around! Just let me land one punch—just one!"
Liam and his Stand relentlessly threw punches, creating air cannon-like trails that continuously "renovated" the ruins of City Fortress, yet they couldn't even graze Haiyna's cloak.
"Auntie, you're making me look like an idiot."
Liam was speechless. Haiyna had clearly seen through the weaknesses of his current state.
"Heh heh heh..."
Haiyna's soft laughter echoed through the air. "This state you're in... I remember now. It's Hypnosis, isn't it?"
Liam gasped for breath, his muscles coiled tight, ready to unleash their full power at any moment. The raw strength felt exhilarating, but the strain was immense.
"Hypnosis-enhanced power... it must be difficult to control your strength, right?"
Haiyna transformed into a ghostly blur, circling Liam and Stand. She didn't launch full-fledged attacks, merely harassing them with occasional sword strikes.
True to her words, Liam and Stand responded to her harassment with every ounce of their might.
"How long can you maintain this level of intensity?" Haiyna's voice remained calm and composed, her energy expenditure far less than theirs.
A dark shadow lunged at her again. Haiyna parried with her sword, retreating after a single strike rather than engaging in a prolonged clash.
"If it's hard to control my strength, then I won't bother controlling it."
Giorno's voice suddenly echoed from the sky above.
'When?!' Haiyna jerked her head up to see Giorno hovering in mid-air beneath the gloomy sky, standing on Geppo. His single palm was aimed at the ruins of the Royal City Fortress below—specifically, at her.
"Great Explosion..."
Liam's arms, already as thick as washbasins, seemed to be swelling even further, veins bulging on his forehead.
'Impact Fruit? I can't take that head-on…' Haiyna tried to dodge, but the Black Battle Armor suddenly surged forward, clamping down on her. B.I.B. slammed the helmet onto her head and pressed her forcefully into the ground, pinning her in place.
'When did they get here?!' Trapped by the Black Phantom, Haiyna found herself unable to break free.
"You're truly remarkable, holding out alone..." Liam murmured to himself in mid-air before bellowing, "Forget it! No time left! Great Explosion Attack!"
He unleashed a torrent of impact force from his palm, aimed at the ground.
The power forcibly amplified by Hypnosis was now fully channeled into this single, devastating application of the Impact Fruit.
Bang...
The deafening roar gradually faded into silence...
A pillar of light, as if piercing through heaven and earth, seemed to have pierced through this corner of City Fortress's highlands.
Though not directly within the range of the shockwave, the earth-shattering force left Rose and King stunned, momentarily paralyzed.
"Is that... really human?" Rose murmured to herself, snapping out of her daze and turning toward Jolyneelder sister.
Robin, drenched in corrosive green poison, had pushed back the three Poison Corpses. Beneath her tattered clothes, her skin and muscles were ravaged by the poison.
Seeing this, Rose felt a pang of guilt and heartache so intense she could barely speak. Tears streamed down her face as she rushed toward Robin.
"Don't come closer..." Robin gasped, kneeling on the ground. She raised a hand to stop Rose, but the three poison-drenched women staggered toward her again.
Jiabode, Coyatl, and Rasha, their bodies dripping with Corrupting Poison, closed in on Robin once more, engulfing her in their embrace.
Robin's arm, reaching for Rose through the gap between the three women, was corroded and rotted away by layers of putrid green poison.
"Sister Jolyne!"
Rose burst into tears and sprinted forward, launching herself into a flying leap. Her mouth widened to several meters across, swallowing the three Corrupting Poison women and the tightly embraced Jolyne Elder Sister in a single gulp.
"Rose!"
King was terrified. Although his daughter had previously used her strange Devil Fruit ability to purge the Corrupting Poison from his body, that small amount couldn't possibly compare to the massive quantities of poison coating the three women!
Rose swallowed the three Corrupting Poison women whole and began chewing vigorously. The skin and muscle on Robin's body, which had appeared to be corroded and rotting from the poison, suddenly bloomed into petals that scattered into the air.
Like clothes tumbling in a washing machine, Robin was tossed about with the unconscious Rasha, Coyatl, and Jiabode, her face etched with resignation.
She naturally wouldn't be killed by three Poison Humans without any preparation. Long before they could embrace her with their Corrupting Poison-soaked bodies, she had swiftly used the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to create a layer of "limbs" covering her entire body.
Though the Corrupting Poison still burned with agonizing pain, at least her body wouldn't actually rot away...
Tears streamed down Rose's face as her massive jaws continued to chew relentlessly. Finally, with a "wah!" she spat out the smooth, glistening bodies of Rasha, Coyatl, Jiabode, and Jolyne Elder Sister.
The first three women remained unconscious from their severe injuries, the dark green Corrupting Poison completely gone from their bodies. Robin rolled away, turning her back to Rose, and wiped her hand across her face. The "Jolyne Mask," which had been digested by the Munch-Munch Fruit inside Rose's mouth, reappeared, covering her face once more.
When Robin turned around, Rose was already lying on the ground, her face pale as she clutched her stomach.
"Upset stomach, huh..." Robin sighed. "I told you not to come."
She knelt beside the girl and gently flicked Princess's forehead, which was slick with cold sweat.
"Ugh..." Rose whimpered, curling up on the ground, her eyes brimming with tears and her expression utterly miserable. She then pulled something from her chest. "This..."
Robin took the green Den Den Mushi and looked up. In mid-air, Liam plummeted down with a whoosh, landing beneath a massive crater he had blasted with a shockwave.
"Huff..."
Liam exhaled deeply, his over-inflated muscles rapidly deflating, wisps of steam rising from his overheated body.
At the bottom of the crater, buried beneath rubble, lay Haiyna.
Liam grabbed her by her long, flame-algae-like red hair and yanked her to her feet.
"Don't underestimate me, old hag."
Haiyna, covered in wounds, barely opened her eyes and glanced at Giorno. With a trembling hand, she reached out, aiming for his sharply defined, rock-hard chest.
"No-Blade Style..."
Liam's pupils constricted, but Haiyna's bladeless strike wasn't aimed at him.
It was directed downward!
Bang!
Haiyna's hand-blade slashed downward, splitting the rubble pile. The pit floor suddenly collapsed, revealing a massive swamp of Corrupting Poison she had secretly created beneath it.
Liam thought, 'Did she create this Corrupting Poison while lying in the pit, by sticking her arm into the ground? Or is this... a Devil Fruit Awakening?'
Bang! Rumble...
The pit collapsed a second time. Liam was lifted into the air by his Black Battle Armor as rubble cascaded around him like rain.
A fiery red, seaweed-like figure plunged into the dark green swamp of Corrupting Poison.
Before the dark green poison engulfed Haiyna, their eyes met through the falling debris.
......
Clap!
Clap!
Clap!
Liam surged upstream, smashing through the rain-slicked rubble, and propelled himself upward from the bottom of the crater using Geppo.
His entire body trembled with pain from the earlier overuse of Hypnosis, yet he roared:
"Come out! Fight me again!"
The Black Battle Armor clattered apart, its components assembling around him one by one, like the armor of a Saint Seiya character.
"This time, I'm going all out."
With a click, the Black Phantom mask snapped onto his face, its narrow eyes glowing with a faint white light.
Meanwhile, a crimson figure leaped high from the opposite side, trails of dark green Corrupting Poison dripping from her hair and body.
Haiyna laughed. "How are you so sure I didn't slip away while you were distracted?"
"Aren't your women still here?" Liam smiled, his Black Battle Armor activated. He braced himself with Tekkai, while a layer of Black Armament Haki shimmered across the armor's surface.
"Yes..." Haiyna, barefoot amidst the rubble, retrieved her Longblade from the debris and tapped it lightly against the ground. "They're still here."
Across the ruins, rubble, and deep craters, their eyes locked...
Whiz.
Liam and Haiyna's gazes sharpened simultaneously as they transformed into two black blurs colliding in mid-air.
Bang!
Fist met blade.
Liam hadn't expected Haiyna to retain such formidable strength even now.
Haiyna, in turn, was astonished that Giorno had pushed her this far.
Bang!
Bang!
With each clash, black lightning crackled, the air crackled with violent energy, and debris flew in all directions.
