The Munch-Munch Fruit grants the ability to devour anything and choose whether to digest it. This fruit can digest nearly anything that can be swallowed, or alternatively, it can reconstruct the swallowed material.
For example, in the manga, Wapol, after being defeated by Luffy, swallowed several metal toys and unintentionally reconstructed them into a unique alloy. Using this alloy, he quickly rose to power again, becoming the Dark Kingdom King before eventually attending the Levely...
However, the Corrupting Poison afflicting Rasha, Jiabode, and Coyatl was a special toxin created by Haiyna's Rot-Rot Fruit.
And there was a considerable amount of it.
For Rose, a novice with the Munch-Munch Fruit, digesting such a large quantity of Corrupting Poison was too much. Her face paled instantly, cold sweat beaded on her forehead, and she clutched her stomach, wanting to roll on the ground in agony.
Robin sighed, "Now that the Corrupting Poison has been extracted from them, there's no need for you to digest it all..."
"...?" Rose, drenched in cold sweat, pressed her lips tightly together, blinking rapidly. The abdominal pain was so severe she could only express her confusion through soft groans escaping her nose and mouth.
"For example, you could just spit it out," Robin suggested.
"...!!" Rose's eyes widened in realization. She immediately activated her Munch-Munch Fruit ability, her mouth working briefly before she heaved, "Ugh!"
Pū Tōng, three dark green cubes landed heavily on the ground.
"Phew..."
Rose exhaled deeply, relief washing over her. She felt instantly lighter.
"What are these?"
She suddenly noticed that each cube of Corrupting Poison had faint floral petal patterns imprinted on its dark green surface.
Robin blushed in embarrassment. 'Those are petals created by the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) that you ate…'
"Rose, are you alright?" King rushed over anxiously. Rose had suddenly lunged forward to devour someone, then clutched her stomach and writhed in pain, it was terrifying.
Rose shook her head. "I'm fine, just..."
She, King, and Robin all looked around.
Since the incident, the air above the ruins of the Royal City Fortress had been filled with constant bang-bang collision sounds.
Whether it was an illusion or not, it felt as if crimson-black lightning repeatedly erupted and danced wildly from the sources of the bang bang sounds...
Sword energy crisscrossed the battlefield.
Blurry figures darted back and forth.
The sickening thud of flesh against flesh echoed through the air...
Rose watched with bated breath, her face etched with shock. She knew this was Giorno, her elder brother, locked in a final battle with Haiyna.
A decisive clash that would determine the fate of the nation.
'You have to win…' Rose screamed inwardly.
"They're awake."
Jolyne's voice startled Rose, who whipped around to see the three women whose bodies she had completely purged of the Corrupting Poison, scarred Rasha, bespectacled Jiabode, and busty Coyatl, were all awake.
Coyatl and Jiabode remained lying on the ground, while only Rasha sat up.
Robin eyed Rasha warily, adopting a defensive stance.
"Don't waste your energy, Jolyne Cujoh..." Jiabode murmured from the ground, her glasses shattered during the earlier battle. "It's impressive she can even sit up. If she could move, she'd have already rushed to join Haiyna in the fight."
"How do we know you're not lying?!" Rose snapped, her face etched with distrust.
Robin remained silent, slowly relaxing her defensive posture.
Coyatl lay immobilized as well. After being defeated twice by Giorno, both he and Jiabode had already exhausted most of their stamina, and then they were further beaten by Jolyne Cujoh.
Listening to the thunderous clashes and the whistling of the combatants' high-speed movements, she smiled softly and murmured, "It seems our fate now rests entirely on the outcome of their battle."
"..."
Rasha stared intently at the two figures locked in furious combat atop the rubble, muttering to herself, "To fight Captain to a standstill... Giorno, just who is he?"
"Call me Haiyna," Jiabode said flatly, lying still. The shattered lenses of her glasses obscured her eyes. "Haiyna always says that. I bet you keep calling her 'Captain' just to make her say it. Scarface."
Rasha ignored her, her gaze fixed on the intense battle unfolding before them.
Ever since Giorno merged with that shadowy figure, his fists, and even his entire body, had become noticeably harder.
Haiyna's mind raced. She kicked a massive boulder, instantly corrupting it into poisonous stone upon contact. Liam, his fist coated in Armament Haki, shattered it with a single blow.
'What kind of special technique is this?'
When Haiyna's blade struck Giorno, her hand trembled slightly.
Her Armament Haki, which had previously overwhelmed him, no longer held the same dominance. Even when Giorno met her punches head-on, he no longer seemed at a clear disadvantage.
'Has Giorno's Armament Haki evolved and strengthened during our battle?'
'Let's test that theory.'
Haiyna forced Giorno back. She clenched one fist, Armament Haki coiling around it, while her other hand gripped her sword, the blade instantly turning pitch-black.
Sensing her intent, Liam didn't retreat. He charged forward head-on.
Bang!!
Their pitch-black fists collided once more, unleashing violent black-and-red lightning snakes that illuminated their faces in a dazzling display of light and shadow.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The clash of fists, a contest of Armament Haki and sheer willpower, stirred up a tempest of wind, sending sand and stones flying.
Haiyna's pitch-black fist and arm cracked open, her skin splitting.
"You've got to be kidding me!"
Though lying on the ground, Jiabode and Coyatl strained their necks to catch glimpses of the battle.
They were both incredulous. "His Armament Haki can actually injure Haiyna?"
Robin also watched the battle intently.
Liam's arm, too, bled from the extreme clash, tiny streams of blood spraying outward.
Haiyna swung her other arm, slashing with her blade and sending him flying!
"She won!" Rasha whispered.
The Captain wasn't just a master of hand-to-hand combat; she was also a top-tier sword hero!
Robin clenched her fists, watching Haiyna pant heavily, leaning on blade, and wiping blood from her hands. Suddenly, she sighed softly.
Behind her, Liam, who had been sent flying by Haiyna's strike, pushed aside the rubble and slowly stood up.
"How wicked..." Rasha gritted her teeth, her voice filled with resentment.
"I can't watch anymore," Jiabode said, closing his eyes and lying on the ground with a resigned air. "Wake me up when they're done fighting."
"You're right, slut..." Coyatl murmured, lying helplessly nearby. "The feeling of being stuck here, unable to help her... it's the worst..."
"I didn't say that, you big-breasted idiot," Jiabode retorted, his eyes still closed.
Coyatl didn't retort. Rasha remained silent. Robin, her gaze fixed on the two combatants clashing again, clenched her fists, saying nothing.
Boom!
Liam, clad in black armor, and Haiyna, wielding her pitch-black fist-sword, clashed for what felt like the hundredth time.
At this stage of the battle, all flashy techniques had become meaningless.
The fight now hinged solely on who could deliver the stronger blows and who could endure until the end.
"What's wrong? Can't straighten your arm anymore?" Liam panted. "Your punches don't seem as hard as before!"
Their fists collided, each landing a blow on the other's face.
Liam's longer reach and heavier strikes clearly gave him the advantage.
But Haiyna retaliated with a sword strike that seemed to unleash black lightning, carving a deep gash across Liam's body and sending a spray of blood arcing through the air.
Thud! Thud!
Both fighters crashed to the ground, rolling several times before coming to a stop. Liam lay sprawled in a pile of rubble, his body covered in cuts and blood. Haiyna collapsed heavily on the other side, the arm she had used to trade blows with Liam trembling uncontrollably, its muscles bulging and skin cracked, seeping thin trails of blood...
She braced herself on her blade, slowly rose to her feet, tilted her head back, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly, gazing at the gloomy sky.
"It's time to end this..."
Haiyna shook her nearly numb arm, drew her blade, and glanced at her three companions. Thank goodness, they seem to be alright for now.
Dragging her blade, she slowly trudged through the rubble toward them.
"How could this happen...?" King's face was etched with despair.
"Big Brother Giorno..." Rose wept.
Robin clenched her fists, then slowly released them. Her gaze swept across the scene: Rasha sitting, Jiabode and Coyatl lying prone, and Haiyna approaching.
The clones of them she had created using He Hua Zizai, along with Liam's aura, were based on their peak condition. Robin's mind raced. Having never used this technique in such a dire situation, she couldn't be certain whether summoning the He Hua Zizai clones now would manifest them at their original peak strength, the Liam and Haiyna she had copied at their prime, or in sync with their current, exhausted state.
Suddenly, Rasha shouted urgently, "Captain, behind you!"
'What?!'
Haiyna's pupils constricted as she dragged her blade, her foot crushing gravel to halt her momentum.
As she turned, she heard Giorno's agonized scream from behind.
'Liam…'
Robin's lips moved silently as she watched the towering figure slowly rise again behind Haiyna, entwined by Black's phantom tendrils.
The Black Battle Armor vanished from Liam's body for a split second before reappearing.
Its narrow, glowing white eyes encased Liam's contorted, screaming face, and it charged toward Haiyna with thunderous steps.
"Impossible..."
Haiyna's face was as dark as water. She gripped the hilt of her blade with both hands and took a deep breath.
"Giorno... even though you're a man... I'll remember you."
She strode barefoot through the shattered ruins.
"What an honor! As thanks..."
Liam, his face twisted in a ferocious grin, charged forward, encased in Black Battle Armor.
The blade, gripped in both hands, instantly turned pitch-black.
The flame-patterned armguards detached from Liam's arms.
A swirling current of energy surged along the blade, resembling both fire and lightning, as it spread its wings and roared toward Liam with unstoppable force.
The Black Battle Armor coiled around Liam like a phantom, yet separated from his body.
The armor's hands mirrored Liam's own posture, aligning perfectly to meet the oncoming, devastating strike, likely Haiyna's final blow.
Liam chuckled softly. "I'll reward you with a... Father-Son Kamehameha."
