Chapter 332 - Proximity Transmission

The Great Armor cruised across the quiet grasslands that stood on the outskirts of the Land of Stone. On top of the vehicle was Kevin and the Man of Stone, who admired the beautiful view as the wind coldly but slightly touched their hair. "You're awfully quiet compared to the moment we met," he observed, tapping Kevin on the shoulder. "Something wrong?"

Before his response, Kevin processed everything that was currently happening outside of his mind. "Something's happening - something ominous," he coldly replied. An unusual, burning presence raged through Kevin's mind, so strong that his head began to spin. "I've never felt something like this before…" he thought. "What is this feeling?"

A sharp pain ripped straight through his heart, causing him to let out a loud scream. Along with the pain was a blurry memory that played through his mind, but did not belong to him. "You are too dangerous to be free!" an internal voice followed. "Who's memories are these!?" Kevin said out loud, noticing the Man of Stone's worrisome facial expression. A few seconds passed, and he had fully regained his eyesight. "What the hell happened!?" he screamed, noticing the sweat that was slowly appearing across his forehead. "Something's happening," he replied.

Volume 13, Chapter 12 - Proximity Transmission

Throughout history, studies have shown that people who possess powers from pristine entities are subject to linking if in proximity. This is called "proximity transmission" and is only usable if two people wielding powers from pristine entities are within at least ten miles of each other. The Realm God was known to possess a little bit of all four pristine entity energy, and the power was accompanied by a booster that provided for your main power. Therefore, it was rather rare to obtain the Realm God power and your base at the same time, which is what Kevin had pulled off while in Hamila.

The child Kevin had linked with had not received any of Kevin's memories, but Kevin was able to undergo proximity transmission for the first time and receive his memories. There are a few exceptions to it as well - back in Trila, both Champion and Itama received a disturbing memory from someone that was said to be inside Saharos. When you defeat a pristine entity without any powers binding you directly to it, there is an extremely small chance that you will be able to link with them, which is what happened to Itama and Champion. Furthermore, Kevin, who possesses the power of the Realm God, linked with the child whose power had been awakened not naturally, but forced due to the use of drugs.

The flame engulfing the skull slowly withered away along with the strain within the young child's body, which thudded loudly against the ground. "Seems like the seal has been completed," the man with the red tattoo said to the other eight men who had silently watched. Each one of them took off their hoodies, revealing the tattoos that ran down their faces. "We cannot stay in the same place for long," the man with the blue tattoo informed his partners, wrapping the child's head in the headtie yet again. "Multiple entity hunters across the country have been catching onto us, so it is ideal to relocate to seek more vessels."

The muffled screams of the child echoed throughout the entire mineshaft, but were silenced once a man with a purple tattoo punched him straight in the face. "Nobody is coming to save you," he mumbled, slamming his head into the concrete walls. The blood rushed down from his forehead onto the man's hand, wiping it off on the boy's white t-shirt. "Do as we say, or your life will be a living nightmare!" he screamed, disregarding the tears that escaped the headtie that was wrapped around his head.

"One of our enemies has been spotted scaling the mountain at a rapid pace," an unusually calm voice said into the radio that one of the men was holding. "Professional entity hunter Jennifer Stylus, who had been stationed in her hometown of the Underground City (Scalia.). Swaying left and right violently, she continued to sprint up the mountain. "I… need food…" she muttered, her drunken accent echoing across the face of the mountains. Her power gave her the ability to grow exponentially in strength when drunk - something she was currently taking advantage of. The swaying, uneasy Jennifer met with an entity that had failed in trying to access the Land of Stone, and her drunken behavior came to a sudden halt. Now locked onto her target, she jumped right towards the entity, violently piercing right through it and continuing her desperate sprint. "Fist of Alcohol!" she said with her slurred accent, nearly falling into the snow and rolling all the way back down to the beginning of the mountain. "Looks like I've finally caught up to Pyron before it's unleashed any damage!" she bragged, taking a giant leap straight over the garage and directly entering the Land of Stone without any worry. Her unexpected appearance sent silence through the streets, followed by murmurs that criticized her current behavior. "Who gave her permission to break into the Land of Stone like that?" one man asked his friend, who aggressively replied with a shrug.

All of a sudden, she fell asleep right on the ground of the town square. "Pyron…" she muttered in her sleep.
