Chapter 333 - Ready Or Not, Here I Come!

A man with tight bandages covering his hands and legs pushed through the people in the crowd, jumping over the people that had passed out in the front of the crowd due to Jennifer's immense power. "Finally, I get to fight someone good!" his deep voice roared. Everyone in the crowd shockingly watched as he extended his hand right in the direction of his opponent. "I have no respect for you, Sulfur!" a voice in the crowd screamed. "You're trying to kill a member of Team Cytron, and we wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for her!"

"Shut up!" Sulfur roared back, his fist soaring right through the air straight at Jennifer, who had unexpectedly blocked it. "You're supposed to be unconscious, you old hag!" Sulfur angrily screamed, throwing fists countless times out of desperation. The one-sided conflict was interrupted by an unexpected feeling that pierced right through Sulfur's head, causing him to drag across the ground. "Who do you think you are!?" he ranted, embracing her neck with both of his hands. "You think you can just make me look bad in front of my people!"

Suddenly, Jennifer's head jolted straight up from the dirt roads. A few seconds passed, and she was now mindlessly looking around the crowd that showed major interest in her. Urgently, she got back on her feet, her eyes now focusing on the blue, cloudless sky. "Ready or not…" she grumbled, a red glow emanating straight from both of her legs. "HERE I COME!"

She pressed straight off of the ground into the sky, blowing away a large percentage of the bodies that lay on the ground. "Don't think you're safe from me!" Sulfur screamed. His head spun endlessly, but he did not give up on his goal - therefore, he stubbornly followed Jennifer into the grasslands.

Volume 13, Chapter 13 - Ready Or Not, Here I Come!

Jennifer looked straight behind her, noticing an angry Sulfur charging right towards her. "You've embarrassed me enough, now it's time for the tables to turn!" he ranted, throwing yet another fist at her. "What is your problem!?" Jennifer said in her usual slurred speech, teleporting right behind Sulfur and punching his skull straight into the ground. "Stay in your lane, I don't have time for greedy scum like you!" Blood from Sulfur's mouth flew into the air, landing in the green grass that stood below both of them. "I'm a washed up hero, of course, but that doesn't mean you can just come at me and not expect to get beaten!" Sulfur screamed in pain, tightening the grip his hands had over his head. "I'll let you go this time… but when we meet next, I won't go easy on you!"

A few miles away from the city was the entrance to the underground tunnel that held the Skull of Fire, which was rather quiet after the boy had been violently silenced. Rushing into the tunnel was Xavier, who ignited two dragon-like phantoms across his arms and illuminated the path beyond him. "The moment of truth!" he said to himself, noticing two masked men that charged straight at him. They had rather similar tattoos to the people who had been seen deeper inside the cave, both lighting up about a second after his appearance. "If you think you're going to intervene with our operations, THINK AGAIN!" a man with an orange tattoo screamed, creating fire that raced across the hallways just by exhaling. "That firepower is phenomenal!" he observed, striking the flames with both of the phantoms across his hands. "It's really naive to come alone when there's more of us!" the man criticized. Right then, the Great Armor came racing through the tunnel hallways, and Kevin and Itama jumped out to charge straight at Xavier's opponent.

"Where the hell did you take him!?" Kevin asked angrily. The man with the tattoo threw off his black jacket, showing multiple rounds of dynamite that were strapped right to his chest. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he intimidated, lighting the fuse with his breath.

"He's going to explode!" Gerald called Kevin.

"GRAVITATIONAL PLUNGE!" he desperately screamed, knocking his opponent off his feet with his palm. The bomb exploded at the end of the hallway, sending wind straight through the tunnel. "That was a close call," Itama said, intensely grasping his right shoulder. Suddenly, the same sharp pain from earlier overtook Kevin's mind yet again, and his eyes flung open in response. He received a pictorial vision of the fiery skull that stood deeper in the cave, accompanied by the grim faces of the tattooed men.

"The feeling is getting stronger!" he exclaimed, unexpectedly breaking away from his friends and running off into the cave. "Kevin, what the hell do you think you're doing!?" Xavier exclaimed, reaching out his arm in an attempt to pull him back.

"You really think our fight is finished!?" the man with the orange tattoo screamed, landing a punch on Xavier that shook his stomach and sent him into the ground. Gerald rushed out of the Great Armor and followed the path Kevin had taken, curious on how proficient his senses truly were. "Kevin, don't be ridiculous!"

With his hood on, Kevin, his senses now drained out by the intensity of the link, rushed closer and closer to the origin. Gerald's screams were nothing but whispers to him - whispers he did not acknowledge.

He rushed straight into the room where the skull resided and shattered it with a single punch, leaving Gerald in nothing but awe. "I'm not going to LET ANYTHING STAND IN MY WAY!"
