Chapter 352 - Welcome To Damage Control

Damage Control, following Team ENTITY's return from Trila

The open window to the apartment welcomed in the cold wind gusts that worsened the shivers descending a man with long, brown hair and severe burns spread across his arms. "I'll end up overtaking LUO!" the brown haired man declared, dragging his body straight towards his opponent with just his hands. "Seems like you haven't been fully humbled yet," an intimidating voice replied to him, belonging to the man closest to the open window. A red circle appeared over both of his eyes, causing the brown-haired man to scream in pain and agony. Shortly after, the man was revealed as Nana, the leader and founder of LUO. "Ralph Trimus," he continued, stepping out onto the balcony of the small apartment they were in. "It is only a matter of time before I can become my truest self." Ralph maintained control of his heart rate by maintaining slow and steady breaths, giving him the ability to focus on his enemy yet again. "The Mutation Liberation Army belongs to LUO - you belong to LUO. And when we catch the Realm God, everything will belong to LUO!" Ralph attempted to move yet another inch, but the force Nana held on his body persisted. "All those years ago, Team Cytron stopped the first resurrection of Owari with Operation Anata. But this time, I'll make sure the Sky Splitter wins after all these years!"

The time-consuming monologue granted Ralph with the authority to pick up his gun, aiming it straight at Nana. "All normal humans will become slaves of the mutated! THAT INCLUDES YOU, SKY SPLITTER!"

Instead of successfully firing a plasma bullet, the gun self-destructed, sending an orange cloud across the apartment and out the open window. After the cloud had disappeared, Ralph noticed the sudden disappearance of Nana. "I'll show you who's on top, you piece of shit!"

Volume 13, Chapter 32 - Welcome To Damage Control

Ralph walked through the sewer system under Damage Control with a large smile gleaming across his face. "Its been two months since our delightful encounter!" he said under his breath, pulling a needle out of his pocket and injecting the red substance inside his body. "With the power of Pyron, the Mutation Liberation Army will rise up from the ashes of hatred and decimate anyone who stands in our way! Then, we'll overtake LUO and the entire world will lie right in my fingertips!" he boldly declared, feeling his heart rate increasing due to the injection of Pyron's power. He slammed his fist into the wall where the sewer network ended, revealing a small room where multiple other people were awaiting his arrival. "Shall we begin?" he asked, revealing even more needles holding Pyron's power in his hand.

Kaelan stretched his arms in the direction of the open, blue sky, feeling the wind hit his face as the Great Armor continued to move through the fields. "The beauty of Nahata never fails to disappoint me!" he thought to himself, nearly rolling off the van upon noticing Xavier's presence right behind him. "Didn't know you enjoyed observing the beauty as well!" he said, sitting right beside Kaelan and lying against the warm metal of the van. "Reminds me of the mountain view back at the World Summit," he observed, picturing the tall, snowy Umue mountains in the distance and comparing it to his current whereabouts. "Even if this is a mission, I'm happy we're able to travel across the country and explore along with our mission!" A slight smile appeared on Kaelan's face, but was disrupted by a large, circular lake that signaled their arrival in Damage Control. "This is it!" Forrest enthusiastically called out, whirring his window down and admiring the scenery. "This is the city of Damage Control right in front of us!"

Mixed emotions spread among Team Pyron - some suspicious, some happy, and some still recovering from getting drunk the night before (targeted.) "So, how are we going to get over the lake?" Kevin asked, noticing unusual movement from under the body of water that surrounded the entire city. "We're flying across the water!" Forrest called out, pressing on the gas pedal as the Great Armor accelerated straight off the ground and into the sky towards the city. "At this rate, we'll get there in no time!" Kaelan called out. A second later, the engine of the Great Armor began to sputter, halting halfway through its voyage through the sea. "What the hell are we going to do now!?" Stephanie intimidately asked Forrest, who was trying to hold in his small laugh. The Great Armor landed on a mysterious lump-like surface before Forrest could even open his mouth, causing it to balance just perfectly due to the people on each side. "That was my plan," Forrest claimed towards Stephanie.

"YOU'RE SO CLEVER, FORREST!" Kaelan and Kevin squealed, circulating around the driver's seat of the Great Armor. That was the exact moment everyone in Team Pyron noticed the sides were uneven, causing the van to fall towards the lake yet again. "WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO US!?" Stephanie called out, her sand absorbing a small portion of the water that awaited them from below. For a few seconds, everyone in the Great Armor stood in silence before angrily turning their eyes to Kevin, Kaelan, and Forrest, who let out a cheeky smile.

Right before anyone was lectured, the Great Armor was picked up by an external force and dragged all the way through the air across the lake and right to the coast of Damage Control, where it landed with a small bump. "That was an unusual experience," Xavier said. It wasn't the best one, but the experience they had just witnessed got the Great Armor over the lake and perfectly right on the coast of the city.

For a few seconds, Kevin's silence sent a vibe of mystery through the air - he was usually always lively and chatty, but this was similar to what had happened with his first proximity transmission link in the Land of Stone. "I'm feeling something again," he told everyone, who worriedly gathered around him. "Pyron's power is being used by someone in this country!"
