Chapter 355 - Breakout

For what seemed like the hundredth time since their arrival in Damage Control, Kevin had been the recipient of another proximity transmission link. He took a second to observe the background, comparing it to a blank canvas used by artists, but was interrupted by a sudden glitching sound that swept him off his feet. "Who the hell are you!?" he instigated, slowly backing away from the glitchy human that steadily paced towards him. "In order to take full advantage of this newfound power, I'm going to do anything I can to take out anyone in my way! That includes you, boy!" The human who had accidentally constructed the link was revealed as Ralph, who was tirelessly attempting to embrace control of Pyron's power. Before his fist plunged straight into Kevin's face, a wall of fire as soft as a pillow caught Ralph's arm, completely absorbing the force of the punch. "Why won't you just stay out of my way!?" he complained, barely maintaining control of the influence Pyron's power held on his body. "If I can't kill you here, I'll send all my forces after you to assert dominance - AT THE END OF THE DAY, I WILL HAVE DAMAGE CONTROL IN MY GRA-"

Another external force appeared out of nowhere, pushing Ralph though the air and forcing him straight onto the ground. Kevin noticed the sudden appearance of the orbs mainly used in his Wielder of Gravity form circulated around his back, along with the appearance of the man who had pushed Ralph back in order to protect Kevin. Without a word, the man slowly walked towards him, reaching his hand out towards his second orb. His growing fear caused a stalemate in terms of his movement, but that was the exact moment where the link had been interrupted and sent him straight back into the present.

Volume 13, Chapter 35 - Breakout

The aggressive wind raged across Damage Control, adding to the severity the endless rain had already held within the city. Walking across a deserted street in the city were Itama and Kaelan, who were set on finding Gerald following his sudden disappearance. "It's been a while since we've entered the country, and there's been completely nothing we've heard regarding the distribution of Pyron's power," Kaelan told Itama, glancing at the core that illuminated the foggy streets. "We're going to have to prevent its power from spreading, or tensions within this country are guaranteed to spread due to abuse."

The idea of power abuse deriving from entities did not sit well in Itama's mind - he remembered Aybara's attack on Embercliff, sending a wave of stress through his body. "If the same thing happens again, we're going to stop it," he boldly declared with a prideful smile. The moment of hope had been cut short by an object that crashed straight into the street just a few feet away from the duo, nearly blowing them off their feet and into one of the nearby buildings. "Looks like I've finally found you, INTRUDER!" a demonic-like voice shouted. "Anyone who tries to foil plans of the Mutation Liberation Army will be eradicated!"

The dust ascended into the air, revealing a growling woman embraced by the influence of Pyron's power. "Mutation Liberation Army?" Itama muttered under his breath, popping both his swords out of his case and drawing them in the woman's direction. "WATCH OUT, ITAMA!" Kaelan called out, intercepting the lightspeed attack aimed primarily at his partner with his fist. "Energy Impact!" he yelped, barely deflecting the fierce attack.

"I sense a large sum of entity power straight from her body," Kaelan observed, turning his head back to check on Itama, who was startled due to the extreme speed used. "Kaelan…"

The raging anomaly zipped straight towards them yet again, the impact creating a path of destruction that ripped through the streets and nearly hit the duo. "Itama Style - Withering Blade!" Itama cried, attempting to slice through the forcefield blocking them from direct attack. His swords were deflected upon impact, creating a point of vulnerability by lifting him into the air. "YOU'RE HISTORY, ITAMA KAWASAKI!" the demonic voice cried, smiling in reaction to his growing shock.

In the nick of time, a blue glow created by Gerald raced across the street and pierced right through the forcefield, granting Itama enough time to fall against the ground safely and catapulting the anomaly across the streets, throwing it into a building at unprecedented speeds. "GERALD!" Kaelan screamed, emerging straight off the floor next to Itama, who had been trying to take everything in. "The Mutation Liberation Army is attempting to abuse Pyron's power to assert dominance over the entirety of Damage Control," he stated, his accurate conclusion sending shock amongst his allies. "You guys, go and find Kevin! I'll deal with this."

"Please forgive me, I've done everything I can! I've given you the location of the enemies, what else do you need from me!?" a red-haired man cried to Ralph, kneeling down and slamming his head against the ground. "I didn't mean for it to turn out like this, please spare m-"

"Our people will show the humans what it means to be defied - you're lucky you're just receiving a fraction of what we have been through the last couple of years! Look at you, reduced to nothing but helpless garbage - the same thing you called me when I was a child equates to you kneeling before me right NOW!" Pyron's power ripped through his skin, slowly spreading through his body as he reached his hand towards the man. "There's nothing you can do to stop this, Father!" he claimed, piercing his fingernails right through his skin. "You've led me to Team ENTITY.. But that doesn't mean I'll spare your life AT ALL!" Ralph grabbed the remote sitting on the table, automatically opening the window and revealing the chaos unfolding within the city. "The Mutation Liberation Army will rise from the underground from the surface, and we won't rest until humans are begging for mercy RIGHT AT OUR FEET! THIS IS THE BREAKOUT THAT WILL CHANGE THE STANDARDS WITHIN OUR WORLD!"
