The battle in the city ended at four in the afternoon, and none of the Chaos managed to escape the city. As the victors, the members of Engma clearly didn't display any smiles either. The Engma Union was destitute; after the Chaos bombed the Domer City Arsenal, Malin could see the obvious despair on the Marshal's face—it made sense, as it was one of the three major arsenals of the Engma Union and had the most new lathes.
A few years ago, the Engma restorationists had begged and pleaded to get a batch of craftsmen into Malin's workshop. After their training, they returned and were of great use. It was they who said that using new lathes to make gun barrels was far superior to having Dwarves drill them by hand. Now those expensive machines bought from Carterburg were buried under the ruins of the arsenal, and Malin could easily see the pain and helplessness in the Engma people's eyes.
