"The realm of dimensional intersections, truly fascinating."
After obtaining the key, Daniel Davis conducted several experiments with it. Through these tests, he quickly figured out the true nature of the so-called nonexistent room. In fact, even without the key, he could have determined this eventually, but the key made things significantly easier.
The world is full of miracles. For instance, in the All-Faction world, there's the twenty-four solar terms of Tong Tian Valley, which can transform ordinary people into 异人 (transcendents). Similarly, this nonexistent Room 10 has miraculous properties.
It isn't a space tied to the death of God or some divine artifact but is rather a product of extraordinary circumstances. A miracle created a space containing one hundred items with peculiar abilities. However, these items are not harmless to ordinary people.
Take the pencil that produces coins when tapped, for instance. Most of its owners ended up insane. These strange objects, if held for too long, bring disastrous consequences.
For example, the key itself. Without proper disposal, ordinary people holding it face grim fates. The peculiar energy emitted by these objects subtly affects the human mind. While the influence is minimal in the short term, over time, the effects are unavoidable.
If not for the connection to Room 10 and the dimensional intersection it represents, these items, while interesting, wouldn't stand out much compared to other mystical artifacts.
In this world, magical items are relatively rare but not unheard of. Many, including enchanted tools, stem from Kamar-Taj. The Ancient One of Kamar-Taj had taken on many disciples in the past, some of whom met their ends outside the sanctum.
The Marvel universe is extraordinarily chaotic. Angels, demons, devils, vampires, and countless other powers intertwine into an overwhelming mess. Alongside these supernatural entities are individuals transformed through experimental accidents, such as Sandman or Shocker—villains, to be sure. On the flip side, there are heroes like Daredevil Matt Murdock, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones.
"For Skye's and the little girl's safety, I should take the safest approach."
Without the key, Daniel might have needed to explore the dimensional space layer by layer. But with the key, everything changed. One characteristic of Room 10 is that anyone who enters without holding the key and shuts the door will disappear until the door is reopened with the key.
The little girl's disappearance had occurred in precisely this way. Her father, having accidentally acquired the key, opened the door to Room 10 in their house. Out of curiosity, the girl ventured inside, only for the door to close unexpectedly.
Skye, on the other hand, had simply been careless. After learning of the situation, Daniel wasn't too surprised. Spending time in the USA had taught him a lot about Western thinking. Things that seemed avoidable to him were sometimes inevitable here.
For example, the previous keyholder had lurked around, unnoticed by S.H.I.E.L.D. before their operation. They hadn't even bothered with basic precautions.
"Really, the agents should watch Cautious Hero sometime." With that thought, Daniel sent a shadow clone into Room 10 and shut the door from outside.
Though tempted to personally experience the wonders of the room, Daniel chose caution. A shadow clone could achieve the same results without unnecessary risk.
After shutting the door, he immediately reopened it with the key. As expected, the clone had vanished. A short while later, a golden, spark-filled portal appeared, and the shadow clone returned with both Skye and the little girl.
Once the clone dispersed, Daniel immediately understood what happened when the door shut.
"This dimensional intersection is fascinating. It seems even time halts here, somewhat similar to the Quantum Realm with the Wasp."
Despite being trapped in Room 10 for a long time, both Skye and the little girl showed no signs of starvation or fatigue—an apparent side effect of time's suspension.
"Bring me all the items we recovered earlier. I'll destroy them to prevent future trouble." After rescuing Skye and the girl, Daniel requested Coulson to bring the collected objects. Coulson agreed without hesitation.
From Coulson's perspective, these bizarre objects were more of a liability than an asset. Fury, however, might have tried to preserve them for their strategic value. For instance, the key's ability to open dimensional doors would be invaluable for covert missions.
But Coulson wasn't Fury and had no such ambitions.
"What sort of trouble could arise?" Coulson asked curiously after agreeing.
"Creatures from other dimensions could invade through this space. In fact, many of Earth's lower demons entered through similar dimensional rifts."
"That's a massive problem."
Without further ado, Daniel activated the Mirror Dimension, borrowing the power of the three Sanctums to erase the nonexistent room and its dimensional anomalies. While Daniel could have accomplished this on his own, it would have taken considerable effort. With the Sanctums' aid, the task was swift.
The sanctum barriers amplified Daniel's abilities immensely, to the point where he could hold his ground even against Odin wielding Gungnir.
"Is it done?" Coulson asked as Daniel stopped.
"Yes, it's over," Daniel replied.
"Should we demolish the place, just in case?" Coulson pointed to the decrepit Sunshine Motel and its row of abandoned rooms.
"It doesn't matter. Do as you see fit."
"Skye, you've changed a lot." The events with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Inhuman saga had transformed Skye. Her appearance hadn't changed much—if anything, she looked more beautiful—but her aura was entirely different.
Daniel wasn't just being polite. Skye's enhanced beauty was due to her use of high-end skincare products from Daniel's Feifei Group. These exclusive products weren't sold publicly, reserved instead for individuals like Black Widow Natasha, Maria Hill, Peggy Carter, Pepper Potts, Wanda Maximoff, and high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agents like Skye and Simmons.
"I go by Daisy now."
"Daisy, understood." Skye had grown up in an orphanage under her given name, but Daisy Johnson was the name her parents had chosen for her. Despite her mother's tragic descent into madness, Daisy decided to embrace her true identity.
"Well, everything's settled. I should be going."
With Skye safely rescued, Daniel left the follow-up matters to S.H.I.E.L.D. The man who had committed murder over the key would undoubtedly end up in prison. While Daniel had little faith in the U.S. prison system for high-profile figures or wealthy elites, ordinary criminals rarely enjoyed such privileges.
"Hopefully, no one bothers me this time. It's strange that I didn't encounter the Wasp while in the Quantum Realm."
With this thought, Daniel embarked on his next journey. Not encountering the Wasp didn't trouble him too much. The Quantum Realm was vast, and without precise coordinates, a chance meeting was nearly impossible.
Later, the Wasp's eventual rescue would hinge on Ant-Man receiving her signal, allowing Hank Pym to pinpoint her location.
"This seems like a modern world."
Emerging from a portal, Daniel found himself by a riverside. Observing the surrounding environment and the distant power lines, he deduced that this was a technologically advanced society.
"People are fighting… and they're no ordinary humans. Let's take a look."
Using Haki to sense his surroundings, Daniel detected a battle roughly 800 meters away. He quickly approached and found a black-haired teenager, around fifteen or sixteen years old, being overwhelmingly beaten by a pink-haired figure.
What caught Daniel's attention was that the pink-haired individual wasn't entirely human. The black tattoos covering their body weren't unusual compared to some Marvel characters. However, the second set of eyes below their main pair was unmistakably inhuman.
The black-haired teenager fought using summoned 式神 (shikigami), but they were no match for the pink-haired figure.
"You can't stop me, kid. Once I'm free, I'll make that brat regret everything. This time, I'll kill even more—women, children, and yes, even you," the pink-haired figure sneered.
"I won't let you leave here!" the boy shouted.
"You can't stop me." With that, the pink-haired individual closed the distance in an instant, sending the boy flying. As they prepared their next move, a voice interrupted them.
"What's going on here?"
Daniel's sudden question caused the pink-haired individual to pause, looking surprised. They removed their hand from their own chest, which bore five finger-sized holes but no blood.
"Well, this is fortunate. Let's start with you." The pink-haired figure grinned menacingly and lunged at Daniel. However, their right hand, clawed and aiming for Daniel's heart, was intercepted mid-strike.
With a loud crack, Daniel broke their wrist, then flung them away with a casual wave of his hand. The pink-haired individual tumbled through the air, crashing to the ground.
"Starting off with killing intent? That's a bit much, don't you think?"
The black-haired boy, watching from a distance, was stunned. He knew who the pink-haired figure was—none other than Sukuna, the King of Curses. Even with just two fingers of power, Sukuna outclassed most Special Grade curses. Yet, this stranger had defeated him effortlessly.
"Are all modern sorcerers this strong?" Sukuna muttered, climbing to his feet, visibly more cautious now.
"Such regeneration…" Daniel noted, observing Sukuna's rapid recovery. Even the finger-sized holes in his chest had closed.
"I've heard the term sorcerer before," Daniel thought, growing curious. Sukuna's next move, however,
