"You bastard," snarled the pink-haired boy, his head pressed firmly into the ground. Despite his predicament, his tone remained arrogant, prompting Daniel Davis to grab his head and slam it down once more.
"Say, would it matter if I killed this guy?" Daniel asked, turning his gaze to the stunned black-haired teenager nearby after another loud thud echoed.
"No, wait!" The black-haired boy, snapping out of his stupor, shouted in alarm.
"He was about to kill you," Daniel pointed out. Feeling the pink-haired boy struggle again, Daniel slammed his head into the ground for the third time. This time, the boy finally stopped resisting.
"I'm back to normal. Can you let go now?" The boy's tone had completely changed—no trace of arrogance remained. The black markings on his body had also vanished, and his voice carried a note of restraint.
"Yuji, are you okay?" The black-haired boy, having recovered from his initial shock, staggered to his feet and approached.
"Sorry to trouble you, Fushiguro. I'm fine now," the pink-haired boy's voice came from the crater in the ground. He tried to rise, but Daniel's hand was still firmly pinning his head in place.
"He's normal now," Fushiguro said in a low voice, glancing nervously at Daniel.
"Seems so. What was all that earlier?" Daniel asked, lifting the pink-haired boy by the head and scrutinizing him. The eerie extra eyes beneath his normal ones were gone, and his ominous aura had completely dissipated. Satisfied, Daniel released him.
"That was… an accident," Fushiguro began, only for the pink-haired boy to interrupt.
"It was Sukuna."
The name caused Fushiguro's face to twitch in frustration. He had hoped to avoid mentioning Sukuna, but the boy had blurted it out himself.
"Sukuna… I've heard that name somewhere before," Daniel murmured, the terms "sorcerer" and "Sukuna" stirring a vague sense of familiarity.
At that moment, Fushiguro's phone rang. He answered immediately, reassured his caller, and shortly afterward, a black car arrived at their location. Despite enduring multiple heavy blows, Yuji Itadori recovered quickly thanks to his remarkable resilience. Fushiguro, however, was severely injured and needed to be rushed to the hospital.
"Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Jujutsu High, sorcerers, curses, cursed spirits, Satoru Gojo… So this is the Jujutsu Kaisen world."
After accompanying the two to the hospital and engaging in conversation, Daniel pieced together the puzzle. Though he had seen parts of Jujutsu Kaisen, he had only watched the beginning and knew little beyond the general premise. The mention of Gojo's name confirmed the setting.
"I see now. Compared to Naruto or Luffy, Yuji Itadori's fame is relatively modest," Daniel thought, realizing why he hadn't immediately recognized the characters.
"This world's curses stem from human negative emotions. What a troublesome concept." Negative emotions were inevitable for humanity, meaning curses couldn't truly be eradicated. While Daniel wasn't entirely certain of the mechanics, the idea reminded him of Demon Slayer.
Much like demons in that series, curses were humanity's adversary. However, unlike Demon Slayer, where eliminating Muzan could end the demon plague, curses in Jujutsu Kaisen were tied to an inherent aspect of humanity. The only way to eradicate curses would be to eradicate humanity itself.
"Cursed energy... yet another world built around bloodlines."
Though not deeply familiar with the series, Daniel was aware of the importance of lineage. Gojo Satoru was the strongest because of his bloodline, hailing from one of the three great sorcerer families. He was born with the clan's most powerful technique and inherited the Six Eyes, an ability unseen for centuries. This combination cemented his status as the strongest.
In this world, most powerful sorcerers were from jujutsu families. Ordinary individuals accounted for a small minority and were often less formidable.
"The strongest Satoru Gojo, huh? I should test him and see just how strong he is. If he's not impressive, I might as well move on from this world."
For Daniel, his current priority was strengthening himself to face threats like Thanos, Hela, and the impending Ragnarok of Asgard. If Asgard could survive, it would deter various cosmic threats, including marauders who might otherwise target Earth.
As Supreme Sorcerer, Daniel also felt a responsibility to uphold the legacy left to him by the Ancient One. If Asgard fell, Earth would lose a critical ally against interdimensional threats like Mephisto and other hellish beings.
While Daniel accompanied Yuji and Fushiguro at the hospital, Satoru Gojo was causing havoc elsewhere. In a sprawling estate with picturesque gardens, Gojo's rage had reduced the grounds to rubble.
"You old bastards really have a death wish, huh?" Gojo snarled, standing amidst the wreckage. The three elders before him looked pale and furious, yet they dared not retaliate—Gojo's strength was far beyond theirs.
"Do you think I won't kill you? Maybe I should prove it by picking one of you to die right now," Gojo threatened, forming a jujutsu hand sign.
"Enough, Gojo!"
"What do you think you're doing, Satoru?"
Before the situation could escalate further, a group of figures arrived, shouting as they hurried toward him.
Their arrival brought simultaneous relief to both sides. The elders were glad someone capable of stopping Gojo had arrived, while Gojo himself was glad his theatrics could come to an end. Despite his anger, Gojo had no intention of completely dismantling the system. His threats were calculated, made only after sensing reinforcements approaching.
As the newcomers arrived, Gojo ceased his aggressive display.
"Luckily, no one died this time," Gojo remarked before taking to the sky. "But next time, you'd better draw lots to decide who goes first."
With that, he vanished from sight.
"What an outrageous man," one of the elders fumed, slamming his cane into the ground. Yet none of the others dared to agree openly. Most of them secretly sympathized with Gojo's grievances. The elders had set a trap during a mission, sending young sorcerers to their deaths—a despicable act.
Back at the hospital, Daniel found himself face-to-face with the man in question. Clad in blue and wearing his signature blindfold, Gojo smiled slyly at him.
"Thanks for saving them. But you're not a sorcerer, are you? I'm curious—what are you? Sukuna isn't an easy opponent."
"What makes you think that?" Daniel asked, intrigued.
"These eyes of mine don't see any cursed energy on you. Plus, I can't see through you. As far as I know, no one in this world is beyond my sight," Gojo replied, his Six Eyes granting him unparalleled perception.
In addition to omnidirectional vision akin to the Byakugan, the Six Eyes allowed him to analyze techniques and energy flows with precision. Gojo's reputation as the strongest was well-earned through countless victories.
"Fushiguro told me you defeated Sukuna purely with physical strength—no cursed energy involved. At first, I thought you might be like Toji Zen'in, someone born with Heavenly Restriction. But even my eyes can tell that's not the case. One thing's for sure: you're human."
Heavenly Restriction was a rare phenomenon in the Jujutsu Kaisen world, where individuals devoid of cursed energy gained immense physical abilities. Toji Zen'in, for instance, had become a fearsome sorcerer killer through sheer physical prowess.
"If you want to know what I am, how about we fight? Then I'll tell you," Daniel suggested. He had considered pretending to be a sorcerer from China but quickly discarded the idea after Gojo saw through him. Instead, he decided that testing the "strongest" would be the quickest way to learn more about this world.
"Interesting. I've been curious too. Let's do it," Gojo said, leaping out the hospital window and flying into the sky. Turning back mid-air, he called, "I'll wait for you on that mountain. Try to keep up!"
The next moment, Gojo froze mid-flight as Daniel rose into the air effortlessly to join him.
"You can fly?" Gojo asked, genuinely surprised. Though flying wasn't unheard of, it usually required tools or techniques, not raw power.
"I'm getting excited now. Let's see who gets there first," Gojo said, accelerating like a missile toward the mountain.
Daniel followed close behind, keeping pace effortlessly. Both arrived at nearly the same time.
"I'll let you go first," Gojo said, hands in his pockets, standing calmly at the mountain's peak. His confidence as the strongest sorcerer in the world radiated from him.
