Fushiguro Tsunemiki is the older sister of Fushiguro Megumi. Although the two are not related by blood, they have a very close relationship. A significant part of the reason Megumi became a sorcerer was because of his sister.
Fushiguro Megumi's real name is Zen'in Megumi, and he comes from the prestigious Zen'in family, one of the three major families. His father, Fushiguro Shin'ei, was originally Zen'in Shin'ei, but due to the curse of Heaven and the binding of curses, he has no curse power and is not highly regarded by the Zen'in family, even though his abilities are on par with a special-grade sorcerer.
In the world of Jujutsu, curse power is everything, and individuals like Zen'in Shin'ei and Zen'in Maki, who are bound by the curse of Heaven, are not taken seriously. In this situation, Zen'in Maki's personality is relatively unaffected, but Zen'in Shin'ei, due to his experiences as a child, became very harsh and even developed antisocial tendencies.
When Zen'in Shin'ei was young, he was quite an interesting figure. He was a handsome playboy who maintained flirtations with multiple women until he met Megumi's mother. It was only after this that he began to settle down and become more stable.
Unfortunately, Megumi's mother died after giving birth to him, and after her death, Fushiguro Shin'ei reverted to his old ways, maintaining ambiguous relationships with several women while also taking Megumi along with him, until he finally joined the Zen'in family, which brought some stability to his life. Megumi's name came from this.
Because of this, Megumi doesn't have a good impression of his father. By the time he was sold to the Zen'in family, he had completely forgotten his father's appearance and didn't care much about it.
However, what Megumi doesn't know is that although Fushiguro Shin'ei appears indifferent to him on the surface, he actually cares a lot for him. Otherwise, he wouldn't have given him the name "Megumi," which represents the blessings of his parents. Selling him to the Zen'in family was also for Megumi's own good.
Megumi, unlike his father, is naturally talented in jujutsu. He has an extraordinary ability to inherit the Zen'in family's Ten Shadows technique. Such a person would undoubtedly receive great attention from the Zen'in family and would be treated very differently from how Fushiguro Shin'ei was treated back in the day.
The reason the Zen'in family is so powerful is that they control the vast majority of resources. Even those with poor treatment in such families still fare better than ordinary people. It's like the difference between a billionaire declaring bankruptcy and an actual poor person—though the billionaire has lost a lot, their situation is still far from that of the truly impoverished.
Although Fushiguro Shin'ei has immense power, his lack of curse energy caused him to despise himself. His self-loathing is reflected in how he refers to himself as a "monkey."
Later, when he fought the peak-level sorcerer Gojo Satoru, he sold Megumi to Gojo, thinking that Gojo's power and status would provide Megumi with greater protection.
On the surface, all of Gojo's privileges come from his overwhelming strength. However, there is more to it than just that—his status as a member of the Gojo family is also extremely important.
The reason Megumi still carries the Fushiguro surname instead of Zen'in is because of Gojo's ten billion yen. The ten billion was used to "buy" Megumi's surname and his right to education. But Megumi still belongs to the Zen'in family and has the qualifications to inherit the position of the Zen'in family head.
The will left by Zen'in Naobito, just before his death, stated that Megumi has the right to inherit the Zen'in family headship under special circumstances.
Faced with this will, Zen'in Naoya only wanted to eliminate Megumi to become the family head himself, but he could not question whether Megumi was qualified to inherit the Zen'in family.
"Strange, what kind of curse could even make you unable to handle it?"
On the way to the hospital where Fushiguro Tsunemiki, Megumi's sister, was located, after hearing Gojo's explanation of Megumi's situation and Tsunemiki's importance, Daniel immediately asked curiously.
Gojo Satoru's Six Eyes possess abilities similar to the Byakugan and Sharingan, so normally, such eyes should make it hard for any curse to affect him.
Speaking of the Hyuga clan, after the Akatsuki unified the ninja world, many ninjas became medical ninjas, which was an idea Daniel had suggested. The Hyuga clan is very suitable for being doctors because of their Byakugan; their ability is perfect for performing surgery.
"Sorry, this time I really couldn't figure it out."
Given Gojo's high regard for Megumi and Tsunemiki's importance to him, Gojo immediately took action after Tsunemiki fell into a coma. He brought in the only two jujutsu sorcerers capable of using Reverse Curse Techniques to heal others—Inumaki Satoru and Otsutsuki Yuta—but they also couldn't help.
Curse power comes from a person's negative emotions, and generally, reverse curse techniques can only be used for offensive purposes. However, Reverse Curse Techniques work differently; it's like "negative times negative equals positive," which allows the curse power to be used for healing. Gojo Satoru is one of the few who can use Reverse Curse Techniques for healing, and it was through this technique that he managed to survive his fight with Fushiguro Shin'ei.
However, Gojo's Reverse Curse Technique cannot heal others, and most jujutsu sorcerers' Reverse Curse Techniques also cannot be used on others. This shows how valuable Inumaki Satoru and Otsutsuki Yuta are.
"Then I'll have to try it myself."
Healing Fushiguro Tsunemiki was one of the conditions agreed upon between Daniel and Gojo. If he succeeds, Megumi will definitely be very pleased.
However, since Gojo couldn't do it, Daniel couldn't promise that he would be able to heal her either. The world of jujutsu is full of strange abilities.
"This should be a binding curse."
Looking at Tsunemiki, who was quietly lying in a private room with smooth black hair, Daniel did a quick check before speaking to Gojo.
If it were a normal curse, Tsunemiki would likely be dead by now. Only a binding curse could turn a person into a vegetative state. The next step is to wait for the moment when the binding curse activates.
"That's right, but Inumaki and the others also made this judgment. However, it's difficult to determine what kind of binding curse she's under." Binding curses can vary greatly depending on the conditions of the binding.
And Tsunemiki isn't under a normal binding curse. If it were a normal one, Gojo would still be able to undo it by paying some cost.
"Physically, there's no issue, so it must be her soul." Looking at the strange black markings on Tsunemiki's forehead, Daniel suddenly slapped her chest, forcing her soul out of her body.
"The problem is indeed with her soul."
Upon seeing Tsunemiki's soul, Daniel immediately understood the cause of the issue. The binding curses in the jujutsu world are extremely powerful—even capable of affecting the soul.
"Strange, she's just an ordinary person. Is it really worth going to such lengths, or is it because of Megumi?" Tsunemiki is an ordinary person, so there's no clear reason for someone capable of using soul-binding curses to target her. The only possibility is because of Megumi.
While binding curses are common in the jujutsu world, soul-binding curses are a different matter altogether. Even Gojo hasn't touched upon this area, which shows that whoever was behind this is a very powerful individual.
"Soul binding? Do you have a solution?" After hearing Daniel's words, Gojo was silent for a moment before asking.
"There's no major problem, but since this involves the soul, I need an absolutely stable environment. If anything goes wrong, it could get ugly."
"Don't worry, no one will disturb you here." Gojo replied, immediately leaving the room. He understood the hidden meaning behind Daniel's words.
"I'll have to use this." After Gojo left, Daniel immediately took out the Philosopher's Stone he had previously created from the fingers of Sukuna's vessel, the two-faced Shouno. It's not difficult to remove the binding curse; as long as the cost is paid, the curse can be undone. If it's a self-binding curse, it can be undone by getting rid of the things gained through the curse. However, if it's a curse binding another person, the cost depends on the terms of the curse. The Philosopher's Stone, as a universal remedy, can pay any cost.
Daniel asked Gojo to leave because he didn't want him to see the Philosopher's Stone.
"Done." With the power of the Philosopher's Stone, Tsunemiki's soul was quickly restored to normal. Daniel then placed her soul back into her body.
"Someone has undone the binding curse. Impossible, Gojo Satoru doesn't have that ability." While Daniel was undoing Tsunemiki's binding curse, a young
girl in a black robe was quietly observing from a distance. She knew that the Zen'in family was a major power, but she had no idea that their connections extended so deep.
