Chapter 704 - Chapter 704: The Land of Wano (Conclusion)

The Buster Call in the world of pirates is something that strikes fear into the hearts of most people. It is an attack that annihilates everything, led by an Admiral, supported by ten warships, five Vice Admirals, and elite Navy forces.

The warships used in a Buster Call are vastly different from the standard Navy vessels. Typically, a Navy ship, even one used by a Vice Admiral or Admiral, carries only a few hundred people. However, a Buster Call warship carries a thousand soldiers.

Moreover, these warships are the most durable and heavily armed in the Navy, all crafted by the Navy's exclusive shipyard, Water 7. Their quality is unquestionable, and since the goal is to obliterate an island with firepower, the ships are stocked with an abundance of ammunition.

While the three Admirals are capable of destroying an island on their own, doing so for a large island would be extremely taxing. Naturally, the Admirals wouldn't want to engage in such laborious tasks.

Buster Calls are extremely rare. In the past few decades, they have only been issued three or four times. For example, shortly after Roger's death, Douglas Bullet went on a rampage, forcing the Navy to initiate a Buster Call to capture him.

It must be said that while Roger's decision to team up with Garp to take down the Rocks Pirates left Daniel Davis speechless, Roger's charisma in the pirate world was truly remarkable. After his death, the Navy suffered heavy losses due to the fallout, with casualties reaching about a third of what Daniel Davis had caused.

During that time, the Navy was severely weakened. However, due to the Revolutionary Army's ideology at the time, Dragon and his comrades failed to seize the opportunity.

Daniel Davis's destruction of the Navy's G-1 base was impressive, but in the past, Golden Lion Shiki had once devastated Marineford. Both Daniel Davis and Shiki had avoided altering the island's terrain, allowing G-1 and Marineford to be rebuilt.

If they had destroyed the island's terrain like Whitebeard did during the Marineford War in the original story, the Navy headquarters might have had to relocate to G-1.

After Shiki, it was Douglas Bullet's turn to wreak havoc, attacking Navy bases and outposts. His unique Devil Fruit ability, the Combine-Combine Fruit, allowed him to merge with entire islands, leaving destruction in his wake. Two of the Navy's current bases in the first half of the Grand Line were rebuilt on different islands after his attacks.

Like Shiki, Bullet acted alone. The reason he was targeted by a Buster Call was due to his Combine-Combine Fruit ability, which allowed him to merge with an entire island. In such cases, a Buster Call's bombardment was the most effective solution.

Interestingly, Bullet was the only person to have experienced two Buster Calls in the original story.

Aside from Bullet, many other members of the Roger Pirates also sought revenge for Roger's death. Considering the strength of the Rocks Pirates, one can imagine the power of the Roger Pirates.

The reason the Shichibukai system was established was largely due to these events. The Five Elders of the World Government were not fools. If there had been no need, they wouldn't have created the controversial Shichibukai system.

It must be said that the leaders of Bullet's home country were incredibly foolish. They had such a powerful soldier in their ranks but chose to eliminate him, leading to Bullet's rebellion and the destruction of his own country—the infamous Jarlsberg Massacre.

The World Government quickly labeled Bullet as the "Demon Heir," branding him as an extremely violent criminal and pirate. In reality, Bullet had merely wanted to survive. If the Navy hadn't relentlessly pursued him, he might never have become a pirate.

Strictly speaking, Bullet was somewhat like Kuma. Both became pirates out of necessity. After all, Kuma was the king of the Sorbet Kingdom. If not for dire circumstances, why would he have become a pirate? Similarly, the king with the King Punch did so for his country.

"Kuzan, head to Morris Island immediately." After a brief moment of shock, Sengoku immediately ordered Aokiji to move out. At the same time, he quickly picked up the Den Den Mushi that had fallen to the ground and began making calls.

"Garp, Dragon has appeared on Morris Island. You need to get there immediately." Sengoku didn't give Garp a chance to respond before hanging up. He then walked out the door, saying to Tsuru, "You're in charge here." His tone indicated that the Fleet Admiral was about to take action himself.

"Understood."

Tsuru didn't stop Sengoku. Morris Island was no ordinary place, especially with the Navy's current weakened state. If it were destroyed, the consequences for the Navy would be unimaginable.

"That brat, does he really want to throw the world into chaos?" On the deck of the dog-headed warship, Garp's expression grew even more somber after hearing Sengoku's message through the Den Den Mushi.

"Continue forward." Garp ordered the lieutenant commander behind him before immediately using Moon Walk to head back in the direction he had come from.

"Dragon, why are you here? What are you planning?"

On Morris Island, Navy elite Vice Admirals Doberman and Momonga, among others, looked up at Dragon and his companions hovering in the air, their faces pale.

"It's been a while, Doberman. As for what I'm planning, you'll find out soon enough."

As soon as Dragon finished speaking, Fujitora, standing on the same platform, drew his cane sword and slashed ten purple rings into the sky.

To Doberman and the others' disbelief, ten meteorites quickly appeared in the sky, trailing long arcs as they hurtled toward Morris Island.

"Dragon, you—! Everyone, scatter! Don't hold back! Destroy those meteorites!" Facing the falling meteorites, Doberman immediately shouted to his surroundings. He and the other elite Vice Admirals drew their weapons and spread out, keeping a wary eye on the descending meteorites.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Doberman and the other four elite Vice Admirals used their weapons and fists to shatter five of the meteorites. Unfortunately, the remaining five meteorites went unchecked and crashed into Morris Island.

The impact of the meteorites caused the entire island to tremble violently, killing a large number of Navy soldiers in an instant.

"The meteorites are still a bit small. If it were something like Tengai Shinsei, they probably wouldn't have been able to stop it." The Rinnegan's Tengai Shinsei required at least an Admiral or Yonko-level strength to counter, though certain Devil Fruit abilities could also handle it.

If the plan to attack the Kingdom of Goa was devised by Dragon and his team, the assault on Morris Island was Daniel Davis's suggestion.

The location of the Navy's Buster Call fleet was highly classified, known only to a few high-ranking officials. While Dragon had known the location in the past, the current fleet was stationed elsewhere. Daniel Davis had learned the new location from Zephyr.

War is fought with wealth and logistics, making the location of the Buster Call fleet crucial.

While a Buster Call only requires ten warships, the island doesn't house just ten ships. In fact, there are dozens of warships of the same specifications on the island.

If these warships were destroyed, it would take the Navy at least a year to rebuild the fleet, not to mention the loss of personnel. Building a warship capable of carrying a thousand soldiers and equipped with heavy firepower is no small feat.

Including the loss of Navy personnel, it would take at least two years before the Navy could launch another Buster Call. A Buster Call fleet consists of ten warships, each carrying a thousand soldiers—ten thousand elite troops in total. In the current situation, losing ten thousand elite soldiers would be a devastating blow to Sengoku.

Not to mention the loss of five elite Vice Admirals, ten Rear Admirals, and hundreds of Captains.

This operation was meant to be a massacre. Daniel Davis had two goals: to weaken the Navy's strength and to help Robin overcome the trauma of Ohara. The nightmare of Ohara needed to be eradicated completely.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After Fujitora's meteorite attack, Dragon took action. A fierce storm engulfed the island, with torrential rain, thunder, and lightning. The Navy soldiers caught in the storm struggled even to maintain their footing, let alone fight.

"To this day, I still don't know what Dragon's Devil Fruit is."

Dragon's Devil Fruit is shrouded in mystery. Even within the Revolutionary Army, few know its true nature. While his abilities suggest it might be a Wind-Wind Fruit or something similar, this has never been confirmed.

Just as Kaido's Devil Fruit isn't the Mythical Zoan Dragon Fruit but the Fish-Fish Fruit, or how Jozu's Devil Fruit isn't the Diamond Fruit, many Devil Fruits have names and abilities that don't align with expectations.

As for why Dragon hasn't revealed his Devil Fruit's name, Daniel Davis can only speculate. Perhaps revealing its name would expose a weakness, much like the Hobi Hobi no Mi (Hobby-Hobby Fruit). Some Devil Fruits have vulnerabilities that can be exploited if their names are known.

For example, what if Dragon's Devil Fruit isn't a Logia but a Paramecia?

"Why aren't you acting? Are you waiting for everything to be destroyed?"

Amidst the storm, Doberman shouted again. This time, unlike before, three white-clad figures emerged from the shadows.

"CP0 is here too."

Seeing the three CP0 agents, Daniel Davis waved his right hand, summoning a fiery red bow—the Kaiyuan Chasing Moon Bow.

"It's your turn." With the bow in hand, Daniel Davis nodded to Fujitora, who immediately swung his cane sword. In an instant, Doberman and the others felt their bodies grow heavy, their feet sinking into the ground.

Despite their struggles, they could only barely pull their feet free before sinking back in.

"Combat is about coordination." Watching the five elite Vice Admirals and three CP0 agents struggle, Daniel Davis drew back the bowstring, forming a spiritual arrow. With a twang, the arrow shot forward like a meteor, appearing in front of Doberman in an instant.

Doberman, however, was an elite Vice Admiral. At the last moment, he raised his black katana, reinforced with Armament Haki, to block the arrow. Unfortunately, the arrow pierced through his blade and struck his chest.

"Doberman!" Momonga, seeing this, roared in fury. However, under the combined powers of Dragon and Fujitora, he could only howl in frustration.

"Don't worry, you're next."

With the significant power gap and the coordinated attacks from Daniel Davis's team, the five elite Vice Admirals and three CP0 agents were quickly eliminated by Daniel Davis's arrows. Their deaths were undoubtedly humiliating.

"Sorry, I didn't give you a chance to show off."

Looking at the bodies of Doberman and the others, Daniel Davis shook his head slightly. In a typical pirate world battle, the three would have taken turns attacking, much like the Admirals and Shichibukai during the Marineford War. But this was war, and all was fair.

"I'll leave this to you."

After dealing with Doberman and the others, Daniel Davis nodded to Dragon and Fujitora before disappearing. In the next moment, he appeared on a warship off the coast of Morris Island, where the battle had just ended.

"It seems you've succeeded here as well. Let's begin."

Seeing Betty waving her flag, Daniel Davis nodded. He then placed his hand on the warship beneath him, and in an instant, the ship vanished. Using the Flying Thunder God Technique, Daniel Davis transported fifteen warships in total.

It wasn't that there were only fifteen ships, but the others had been destroyed in the battle.

"This is nothing short of a natural disaster." After the warships and Revolutionary Army members were transported away, Daniel Davis turned his gaze to Morris Island, now ravaged by storms, meteorites, and lightning. The island was being obliterated, with no sign of stopping.

It must be said that when dealing with large-scale enemies, Dragon's abilities were even more effective than the Navy's three Admirals. While the Admirals' powers were formidable, they lacked Dragon's ability to control the battlefield over an extended period.

The combination of wind, rain, and lightning left those with insufficient strength no room to escape. Even if Aokiji were here, it wouldn't matter.

Aokiji's ice could freeze the ocean, but it couldn't freeze the wind. As for the rain, it could only freeze what had already fallen. Lightning was even more uncontrollable.

"The island housing the Buster Call fleet has been completely destroyed. It would be interesting to see Sengoku's reaction." For so long, the Buster Call had been used to annihilate other islands. Now, it was the Navy's turn to experience destruction.

"He's coming fast. It seems he rushed here on his own. Time to leave."

Sensing Aokiji's rapid approach through Observation Haki, Daniel Davis prepared to retreat. It seemed Aokiji had ditched his bicycle and was now skating across the sea.

"You want to talk to Aokiji? Fine." Hearing that Dragon wanted to stay, Daniel Davis left with Fujitora. The fact that Aokiji arrived first, not Kizaru, showed that the diversion had worked.
