The day came sooner than Cheng Xiao expected, today was the day that Xu Kai would be taking her to officially meet his family. It was also the day that his grandfather had told him to bring her.
"Cheng Xiao are you ready?" Xu Kai came into the room asking.
"I don't want to go." Cheng Xiao whined.
"What are you wearing?" He asked when he saw the clothes that she was wearing. Cheng Xiao was wearing a mini dress that was so revealing which was not appropriate if you are going to meet an elder.
"Clothes! Duh!" Cheng Xiao replied.
"Go and change into another one." He said seriously.
"I will not." Cheng Xiao replied sticking her foot to the ground.
"If you don't want to, I will be happy to help you dress myself." Xu Kai said taking steps towards her.
"Stay away!" Cheng Xiao said taking a step back.
"Xu Kai, stay back." She warned taking steps back while Xu Kai continued taking small steps towards her.
"Will you go, or..." Xu Kai trailed.
"I'll go!" Cheng Xiao said giving.
"That's a good girl." Xu Kai said with a satisfied smile.
"I am not your dog." Cheng Xiao hissed on her way to closet.
Cheng Xiao came out wearing something more modest.
"Don't worry, you will have plenty of time to wear that dress for me." Xu Kai teased.
"As if, the divorce will be come this week anyway." Cheng Xiao said to herself.
"Did you say something?" Xu Kai asked when he heard her mumbling.
"No!" Cheng Xiao replied.
"I hope you are not still thinking that divorce will happen. Meeting my grandfather is just a formality, I will never let you go." Xu Kai said whispering the last sentence in her.
"I know!" Cheng Xiao feeling a chill run down her body.
The way he said that line made her knees go week, he had told her before that he will not divorce her but hearing him whisper the threat in her ear made her heart skip a beat.
Xu Kai placed a hand on her lower back guiding her to the car, Cheng Xiao felt the hand and stiffen.
"Let's go!" He said pushing her forward.
"Don't touch me." Cheng Xiao said stepping sideways.
"What is the problem? I am touching my wife." Xu Kai replied.
"I am not..." Cheng Xiao said but was cut off with Xu Kai placing a finger on her lips.
"Denying it will not do you any good." Xu Kai added and opened the door of the car for her.
