Thea gave a soft chuckle, her tone mildly teasing. "If your beloved overhears those words, he may not be pleased."
Charlotte's expression remained composed, her smile firm. "I have only stated the truth." After a short pause, she continued, "Do you already have arrangements for the weekend?"
Thea smiled softly. "Yes, in fact. Savannah, a friend of Ryder's, has extended an invitation to her birthday gathering this weekend."
"Oh, that's great! Then you have to buy a dress. Let's go shopping!"
Thea's voice was a low murmur, but Charlotte's ears picked up on her words. "Ryder's grandparents' anniversary is also coming up."
"Let's go!" Charlotte insisted, already heading towards the exit.
Crossing the threshold of Opulence, they were met by a space that exuded sophistication, velvet drapes framing glistening showcases. A refined saleslady greeted them with a smile as polished as the store itself. "Welcome.... How may I assist you today?"
