Chapter 10 - Young Miss

"We're here" his voice drew me out my own mind and I looked at him before looking out the window. We have already arrived at his home. But home is an understatement. This is a mansion and a large one. I know his kind of person. He likes to live simply but yet as comfortable as possible.

Dan has brought me here so many times in the past so I know the interior like the back of my hand.

"Right" I simply muttered and unbuckled the seatbelt to get out of the car. But he beat me to it and was already out of the car and walked over to the other side to open the door for me. I got out of the car and stood beside him looking at the mansion that looks bigger and different than the last time I was here.

"Welcome home, wife." He whispered to my ears beside me and I thought whether I made the right choice to be his wife for an indefinite period of time. But I know I'm still stuck with him for an eternity and the next.

I started walking into the compound to the front door but when I was just a few feet away, people dressed in maids uniform sprung up from nowhere.

There formed two lines opposite of each other along the front door.

"Welcome home, Young Master and Young Miss." They chorused so loud I swear if my super hearing was on, I would be deaf by now.

My head snapped to him when I heard what they called me. "Young Miss? They know about our marriage?" I asked him bewildered.

"Yes, they do." He answered cal my.

"And what part of marriage to be kept confidential do you not understand?" I sneered. Not even two days and a group of people already know.

"This people know better than to tell a soul"

"So you trust them?"

"No. But i trust they know that if just a slight rumor is heard of our marriage, there families will be the first to disappear off the surface of the planet" he said way too calmly but loud enough for them to hear.

Their family? I stared at him in shock. I could smell the fear radiating off these humans at his words. I turned to look at them, their body trembling in terror and fear. Their thoughts invading my mind running miles knowing they could not escape the wrath of this man.

I felt pity for them. Their thought were all over the pace know It is better to be kept in the dark than to be let know of our marriage.
