Chapter 9 - To Miluv

'My name is Hazel Hales from the Hales family. One of the most influential families in the States. I am one of the twin Young Miss of the Hales family and no one knows my secret. Not even my identical twin sister, Hailey.

My secret isn't that big. Not really. But I can't afford that even a soul knows about it. I woke up the morning after Halloween night when I was sixteen in a pool of blood. Dead bodies around me and body parts scattered here and there. A voice shook me in my head and I knew from that moment that I wasn't normal anymore. Something big had happened to me during Halloween and I could not remember it. A voice, introducing itself as an actual demon started to reside in my mind.

But it was more than a voice, it was a personality, an alter-ego that could take over my body whenever it deems it fit. But I've come in terms with the fact that I am different now. With a personality -more like a person I named as Arya- who feeds of the very life force of immortality -the essence of humans- residing now in me, I'm better than never before. Faster, stronger and better in ways unimaginable to the minds of humans.

Sooner, I had discovered another one like me. My soulmate and Arya's fated one. He too had a demon in him -Damien. We loved each other through high school and beginning of college. We were inseparable, stronger together like two pieces of puzzle completing each other. We walked through thick and thin together, through hell even and we always came back together bonded more than ever.

And then one day, he's gone. Disappeared into thin air, literally. No calls, no texts, I couldn't even feel him anymore through the bond. Just a flimsy letter he left behind that said

'I love you, Hazel. Always amd forever. Just remember the universe always has a way around things. Even abominations like us.

To Miluv, Dan... and Damien.'

A day later, there was news that Dan Hooker, the only son of the Hooker family was in an accident. That was the last I had ever heard of him.

Years passed and he had become one of the most eligible bachelor in the state. But no one ever saw his face. Not once, not ever since the accident.

And now, I just understand that he has selective amnesia. And the person his brain coincidentally chose to forget was...

Not me....

But Damien.'

See, not really a big secret...
