missing lights that once glowed

the luminaries don't glow like they did before

even the Christmas lights hanging on the door

some radiance that once shone can't be restored

those twinkling warmth our hearts adored

I clicked it back and read every line

when the candle softly gleamed just fine

but I quietly somehow reached the end

when the light started to flicker off and descend

I searched for every reason the darkness hid

the lamp almost dimmed down, I couldn't proceed

I remained on edge, waiting for a sparkle somewhere

wishes were whispered, hoping the sky would repair
