missing lights that once glowed
the luminaries don't glow like they did before
even the Christmas lights hanging on the door
some radiance that once shone can't be restored
those twinkling warmth our hearts adored
I clicked it back and read every line
when the candle softly gleamed just fine
but I quietly somehow reached the end
when the light started to flicker off and descend
I searched for every reason the darkness hid
the lamp almost dimmed down, I couldn't proceed
I remained on edge, waiting for a sparkle somewhere
wishes were whispered, hoping the sky would repair
