Chapter 270 Watery Vortex
"Very well," Aleshia replied, handing over the extra fish to the group. They came to a consensus and accepted the exchange. Their faces beamed with joy as they ate. This time, they savored the fish a little more slowly, no longer feeling the need to scarf it down; they now could take their time enjoying it.
Aleshia anxiously glanced at her dwindling supply of fish. She counted only five pieces left. She reasoned that Daniel and Rebel would surely want some, as she had offered to treat them, and she would need one for herself as well. The remaining pieces would have to serve as rations until she restocked her food supply. While Aleshia pondered her choices, Daniel and Rebel entered the room and asked for some food.
At their request, Aleshia brought some fish to a boil. Once the fish was ready, she placed it on a plate and served it to them. The two thanked her before diving into their meal. Since Aleshia saw that no one else was left to feed, she cooked a piece of fish for herself and joined them at the table.
During the meal, once Rebel finished chewing, she smiled and said, "It looks like you've met your party." Her grin turned menacing as she added, "If they haven't accepted you yet, we can strong-arm them."
"That's not necessary right now," Aleshia hurriedly replied, wanting to ensure that Rebel wouldn't take any drastic actions that could harm her image in front of her future party.
After a brief conversation, they finished eating their fish and quietly left, with Daniel assisting Rebel in getting back to the office.
Out of goodwill, the party that had remained offered to help Aleshia clean the plates and utensils that were left behind.
Aleshia accepted their offer, thanked them for their help, and started preparing the water. She created floating orbs of water in the air and instructed the group to place the dirty dishes and utensils into them. The party was initially hesitant, but one member took the initiative and dropped a few dishes into the water, creating a mesmerizing swirling vortex that rinsed the plates.
"That's so cool!" one member of their group exclaimed, clearly impressed. With renewed energy, the party eagerly collected the leftover dishes so they could return to watching the water vortex. Seeing their progress boosted their motivation, and before long, they had retrieved all the dirty dishes. As a reward, they enjoyed a fun display of dishes swirling and dancing in the water.
After some time, all the dishes were spotless; the only task left was to dry them. Aleshia asked, "Does anyone know where the rags are so I can dry the dishes?"
"Yeah, here they are," one of them replied, handing her a rag. Everyone then grabbed a rag and began diligently drying the plates.
