The day continues along with the qualifying matches. Match two had already begun with two remaining players. Tre stares confidently at his opponent. Daniel age twenty-one, silky spikes(downwards) black hair, lightweight class, wearing a mostly black shirt with white detailing, black pants, and white sneakers.
Tank-(At this rate...this match is gonna end faster than the first one.)
Daniel-(I was too busy fighting the other guy I didn't get to see any of this guy's abilities.)
Tre-(His duel ability is phantom. It allows him to become intangible. I'm not sure if that alone was how he defeated the other guy.)
Daniel smiles before dashing towards Tre. He stands completely still as Daniel throws a right punch. The attack phase through Tre with Daniel along with. Daniel was shocked by Tre's reaction.
Daniel-(He caught my bluff?)
As Tre turns around Daniel smiles before hitting him with a right uppercut.
Daniel- I wasn't bluffing that time.
Daniel body shakes as he was uppercutted by the impact of instant karma. Daniel's body was lifted a little bit in the air.
Tre while loading up a massive right hook- Good to know.
Putting all his energy into strength, Tre punched Daniel in the gut causing him to hit the barrier wall unconscious. The barrier drops as the duel has ended.
Tank while clapping- Congratulations, you've earned your spot in the forge.
Tre smiles to acknowledged his victory. Tre walks out of the rear doorway surprised to see Toby, and Jaiven.
Toby- Ola!
Jaiven- How'd your match go?
After asking that the door opens again as the other three players walked out sore and bruised.
Tre- Pretty good.
Toby- And now we wait for the others.
Tre- Shouldn't we wait in the front of the building?
Toby- Why would we do that?
Tre- The rest of the group's matches aren't directly after ours. If we stay here we'll end up seeing the other participants.
Toby still not understanding- So?
Tre- I would be just as curious as you right now, but I don't want to spoil the surprise of the other players.
Jaiven- Apparently Tank thought the same thing, and kicked Toby out.
Jaiven and Tre started laughing at Toby. He gets annoyed then starts heading towards the front of the building. Tre and Jaiven looks at each other then continues to laugh as they followed.
Later on match three had already concluded, and match four was about to begin. The reveal stage was completed also with the barrier expanding around the four. Jalaan stares at his opponents trying to remember their duel abilities. One of the randoms had snapped his finger. Pillars formed from under the four players lifting them a couple feet from the ground. Green goop suddenly appeared covering the floor.
The goop guy's duel ability is goop trap. Those who fall from the pillars created will be immobilized. The goop will then drain the energy from the body forcing over exhaustion. The more goop the faster the drain is.
Jalaan-(So he's making us fight at range huh...gotcha.)
He generates destructive energy from his hands. He claps them together creating a destructive slash heading towards the other random. The slash hits the pillar causing it to shatter. As the guy falls in the goop he struggles to move. Like already being neck deep in quicksand.
Jalaan-(That guy's duel ability is pretty useful. I'll deal with him last.) So the next person I'm getting out is him.
Jalaan stares at the third player. Jake age twenty-one, short spiky black/green hair, lightweight class, wearing a red shirt, green cargo shorts, and red sneakers. Jake smiles back at Jalaan as he generates more destructive energy. He claps dishing out another slash that collides with the pillar breaking it. Jalaan feels relief getting rid of another player. Although, his expression changes as he sees Jake flying in the air with wings of fire.
Jake's showdown ability is dragon heart, that allows him to summon flames from his back forming wings.
Jake then looks over to the goop guy.
Jake- Just sitting back chilling huh?
He flys over towards goop guy at high speeds. Jake swings a right hook. The goop guy jumps backwards off the pillar holding on to the top, dodging the attack.
Goop guy- HA! Gotta try harder than that.
Suddenly the pillar he was holding on to was shattered by Jalaan's destructive slash.
Jalaan- I hope his duel ability stays active until the end of the duel.
After the goop guy fell into the goop, he was confused on why his duel ability was still active.
Goop guy- What's going on? My duel ability is supposed to deactivate after I fall in.(And I wouldn't be able to reactivate it.)
The goop guy then looks over to the first guy that had fell which he was unconscious from over exhaustion. The goop guy struggles even harder to move, but is completely stuck.
Jake hovers in the center of the barrier as he and Jalaan stares at each other.
Jake- You can't win, I have more mobility than you.
Jalaan- Well, since your that confident in yourself...[gets in fighting stance] come at me.
Jake flys in Jalaan's direction. Jalaan creating destructive energy in his fists, waits for Jake to get close to strike with a right hook. He swings but the attack was ineffective as Jake dodges it. Jalaan eyes widen in shock as he looks back to see Jake hovering upside down behind him. He then spins around before kicking Jalaan in the back of the neck knocking him off the pillar. As he falls, Jalaan generates destructive energy in both hands putting them together smashing downwards on the goop. Jake was surprised by the results. Jalaan lands in the crater he created in the goop.
Jalaan- That actually worked? Nice!
He noticed the goop starting to close in on him while also noticing that the goop guy was unconscious. He generates his destructive energy and dashes towards the edge of the crater. Clapping his hands not only expanded the crater, but also sent peices of goop towards Jake splashing his body.
Jake- EW MAN WTF YOU GOT THAT SLIME ON ME!
Jalaan- Indeed I did.
Jake realized that his wings also had some goop on them. The energy draining properties of the goop caused his wings to malfunction, and burst sending him zig zagging in the air. As his flight path straightens up, he saw he was heading towards the last pillar.
Jake-(Nice I can land there, and reactivate my wings.)
However Jalaan had jumped from the crater and struck the center of the pillar with destructive energy causing the top half to shatter. Jake zooms through the rubble in panic as Jalaan stands on the broken pillar. After hitting the wall of the barrier, Jake fall into the goop. Jalaan raises his right fist cheering in victory as the barrier drops.
