"Thanks for keeping quiet," Aurora said to Kane, who was too focused in his game to hear her.

"Are you ignoring me?" Aurora tried again, raising her voice.

"Huh, what?" Kane finally responded, moving his attention away from the game.

"Did you hear what I said?" Aurora asked.

"No - are we finally leaving?" Kane inquired eagerly.

"No," Aurora replied firmly.

"Then why'd you bother me? I was actually getting the hang of this game. Now I lost because of you," Kane complained, clearly annoyed.

"Okay, fine, sorry - play your game then," Aurora conceded.

"Woman, do you know how much seconds are worth when playing blitz?" Kane muttered to himself as he refocused on his game.

Anita knocked on the door and opened it slightly. "Ma'am, there's an Alexander McCain on the phone."

"Forward it to my line," Aurora instructed.

Aurora picked up the phone. "Hello," she greeted.

"Hey, how are you?" Alexander's voice came through.

"As good as I can be," Aurora replied evenly.
