Lydia tucked her hair behind her ear as she eyed Adelaide, who was leading the way.
'Damn it. I still haven't come up with something that can assure my success,' she thought as she brushed her hair aside again because it kept covering her face.
'It sure is windy here,' she thought as she glanced to her left, enabling her to see the town below.
As much as she wanted to enjoy the scenery, she's in a hurry, so she continued ascending the slope.
'What exactly do I have to do?'
'I can give him the items and apply the salve if he permits, but I cannot rely on that method because he might not allow it. Besides, with how low my points have dropped, it's clear that's not enough to stabilize him.'
'I can also do the other things I have thought of, but would he even allow me to get physically close to him?'
'The most realistic answer is he might not.'
