With how low her resonance points have dropped, Lydia thought Qhah-el would be displeased to see her, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
His face was stoic, his posture was open and relaxed, and she could not feel anything particular from him.
He was just looking at her.
"Why did you fall?" he asked, his deep voice echoing in the room.
"I… accidentally twisted my foot," Lydia said as she averted her gaze.
She couldn't believe that just happened after she repeatedly practiced the lines, she would be saying to him at the door.
When Qhah-el didn't say anything, Lydia turned to him.
He was looking at the chair in the corner of the room, so she eyed it too.
Before she could think of anything else, Qhah-el turned to her and drew her in, narrowing the gap between them to six inches.
"Your Highness?" Lydia asked wide-eyed as she looked down to meet his eyes. 'He's so close.'
'I can clearly see the details of his face.'
