"Now that it's been confirmed, it is indeed an intelligence officer or infiltrator deployed by the island nation in Hawaii. How many did you capture last night?" Governor Jameson furrowed her brows, put down the report in her hands, and sat down, looking troubled as she asked, "Also, after you led the HPD officers in a large-scale search across Oahu island all night, don't you think the remaining intelligence officers on the other islands would be alerted?
For now, let's not worry about how that writer got those classified materials and personnel lists. What I want to know is, what are you planning to do next?
Are you really going to go island by island, continuing to capture the people on this list? Do you know how much political pressure that will put on me? I still have no idea how to report the commotion you caused last night to the White House.
And do you know that a delegation from the island nation is currently in Honolulu, preparing to request a large purchase of military weapons?
At this moment, is it really appropriate for you to be cleaning out the intelligence officers stationed here on Hawaii, especially when they are preparing to use economic tactics and money to influence us?
Of course, I'm not blaming you for taking action, but I'm asking you to keep it low-key. Regardless of whether you continue to clean up these rats, you can't cause another scene like you did last night!
Major, it's Christmas time. The President is at Camp David. Hawaii relies heavily on tourism, and last night's massive operation can't be repeated during the holiday season. Do you understand?"
Governor Jameson still chose to support the SEAL officer she had recruited, as her words neither stopped Steve nor discouraged him. Instead, she was reminding him that as a state that depends on tourism, Hawaii couldn't afford to have tourists listening to sirens all night, making them feel unsafe.
As long as there wasn't too much noise, the governor was on board with Steve cleaning out the network of spies the island nation had set up in Hawaii. As for the military purchasing delegation? Hawaii didn't have any large weapons manufacturers, so it wasn't her concern.
Receiving the implied order to "go ahead and clean up the spies the island nation placed on her island," Steve stood at attention, saluted, and left the Governor's office. It looked like his Christmas break would have to wait. He knew that a very angry "grumpy dad" had already arrived in Hawaii!
Upon arrival, the first thing Castle did was head straight to the Hilton Hotel on Waikiki Beach, planning to pick up his daughter before heading to Robin's estate. Naturally, he also sent Robin the estate address, along with the message to Steve, the loyal tool. After all, Steve had the muscle Robin needed, and there were plenty of things Castle needed to tell him.
No matter what, Castle appreciated that Steve had rescued his daughter unscathed the previous day, so he intended to share some upcoming developments with him. However, Castle wouldn't tell Steve about the connection between Governor Jameson and Wu Fa, the person responsible for Steve's father's death—not yet. First, Steve was only in Hawaii because of Jameson's influence, and second, the events hadn't fully unfolded yet. It was only months later, when Wu Fa truly killed Governor Jameson and framed Steve for it, that Castle would let Steve know that the clock in the Governor's office contained a hidden camera, installed by Steve's father John, which could clear Steve's name!
Castle, still on the plane, had already received a satellite communication from Jarvis, informing him of Steve's night of action. After rescuing Alexis, Steve and his team had launched an intense sweep on Oahu island, capturing not only the female spy who had lured Alexis, alias "Park Jin-Ho," but also at least fifty other agents planted by the island nation over the years.
Even Beckett, the police chief, praised Steve's efficient, no-nonsense approach—he was truly a seasoned SEAL.
Castle looked at his daughter, who seemed unaffected by the traumatic events of the previous day. At the Hilton Hotel's pool, Alexis was happily splashing around, while her five bodyguards and the four other security teams under Big Ivan watched her idly. Beckett remarked, "I told you Alexis wouldn't be fazed by a small scare like that. Only someone like you, who insists on treating your daughter like a little girl, would think she was still fragile! Since she interned at my precinct, I knew she was tough."
Upon seeing her father, Alexis hopped out of the pool and ran to embrace him and the others, completely unaware of any lasting effects from yesterday's incident.
Impressed by how strong his daughter had become, Castle wasted no time. He ordered Big Ivan's team to get everything packed up, as Robin's former CIA butler Higgins had already prepared the seaside estate for their stay.
As Castle prepared for his stay at Robin's estate, Alexis was thrilled to learn that her father had borrowed a seaside mansion from his friend to make up for her disappointment. She quickly packed her things, and soon, ten vehicles from Robin's forces arrived to take them all to the estate.
Curiously, Thomas, the private detective who had been the inspiration for the character "White Knight" in Robin's novel, wasn't at the estate. Perhaps he had left after learning that Castle and his entourage would be staying. When Castle arrived, only Robin's butler Higgins, a woman with blonde hair, and a Hawaiian local named Kuma were there to greet him.
Castle immediately apologized to Higgins for the sudden change in plans, which had prevented her from going home for Christmas. He then arranged for his team's accommodations and the next steps.
Many of those present were orphans, like Ramsey and Moss, or had no idea where their biological parents were, like Neil. So, they were all looking forward to a relaxing holiday on the beautiful Hawaiian islands. Harry, despite his normal family background, had his parents overseas and didn't mind spending Christmas with Ramsey, who had become his girlfriend.
After getting everyone settled, Castle gave the five bodyguards who had been protecting Alexis a well-earned break. They had done a good job over the past year, so they deserved some rest. Castle knew that with Big Ivan and himself around, no one would dare attack them during their stay.
Just thirty minutes after settling in, Steve arrived at Robin's estate with his chatterbox partner, Detective Danny Williams, ready to meet Castle and discuss the next steps. As Steve drove through the gate in Danny's Chevrolet, Danny couldn't help but envy the lavish lifestyle of Castle, who lived in a stunning seaside mansion while Danny himself could barely afford a decent apartment. It was hard not to feel jealous!
