The sound of sirens was heard, and official were leaving the mansion.
Ariane appeared to be in a trance as she stood there silently. She was barely aware of her surroundings.
She couldn't utter a word as they took her Dad away.
The sound of her mother's piercing cry startled her out of her daze.
She turned to see her mother on the ground and muttered, "Mom."
She ran and fell to the ground, holding her mother and attempting to console her, despite the fact that she, too, was not as strong.
"Mom, please, let us be strong for Dad; nothing bad is going to happen." Repressing her tears, Ariane spoke.
Everything turned so bad and escalated within just an hour.
Her ones happy family is now in this condition.
Her father is unconscious, fighting for his life after being accused of business crimes, and her mother is finding it hard to take it all in.
Who did this to her and her family? Someone obviously framed but who? And why?
"Mom, please, don't worry, he'll be fine." Ariane said as she stared at her mother.
Slowly, the woman turned to face her daughter and wiped away her tears.
"You need to leave this country, Ariane."
"W-what? Mom, what are you saying? How can I leave you and dad? You do not have to worry; I will take care of everything-"
"You do not understand; it is not just about the business crimes; your father took out so many loans, and now his accounts are frozen, his company is failing, and our house and cars have been confiscated. Please, I do not want you to be part of this problem. Leave this city Ariane." Her mother said in tears.
Ariane shook her head in disagreement as saw heard the words of her mother.
Her sapphire eyes were clouded with tears, threatening to fall down.
"I have always listened to you, Mom, but right now I can't. I can not leave you both, Mom. I will help you both, so just wait."
"Please, this is not what your father would want you to go through. So please leave, there's an hidden account we created for you, just take it and leave. Though I am sure he is innocent, I have no idea what will happen, so please, just go. Please." Tears filled her mother's eyes as she spoke.
Ariane shook her head again, tears streaming down her cheeks, but her mother continued to nod, smiling.
She felt defeated because she could not go against her mother, so she looked down and wiped her tears.
"Okay, but I promise, I'll find the person responsible for this, and I'll clear dad's name." Ariane said in an audible tone, raising her head to see her mother smiling while crying.
She couldn't stand the sight of her mother crying so she wiped off her mother's tears and pulled her mother into a hug.
"Mom, I'm fine so do not worry about me. Just take good care of you and dad. I do not like to see you cry." She said even though she had the strong urge to cry.
"You are smart, and I am confident you will be fine. Now, go. leave the country. Your father gave me this to give to you earlier today because he knew what was going to happen. This paper contains all of the information you need to access that account. So leave now before the police arrives." Though reluctant to leave, Ariane nodded and stood up in response to what she heard.
The sounds of sirens could be heard again which made her mother yell.
"Go!" Her eyes filled with tears as she turned and started to run out.
When she noticed the cars pulling in, she got out, stopped running, and along with the servants and maid, she began to leave so as not to draw attention to herself.
She hurriedly left the mansion and took a cab back to the company.
When she arrived at the company, she noticed several police officers at the door, but she went on and entered the parking lot. She got into her red car and quickly drove away.
She drove away from the city, but her thoughts kept drifting back to what had just happened.
She was at the bridge when she could not take it any longer, so she stopped the car and began crying in it; she was not sure where she was going, and she was disappointed in herself for not being able to help her family; instead, she is running away?
But wait, how could this happen within these few days she left her family for some businesses trip?
No, she has to be strong, she knows her dad wouldn't do such and she was sure someone set him up, but who and how.
Immediately she wiped her tears from her face.
"I promise, Dad, I will return for you. And I will find out the truth. I will get your company back for you, dad; just hold on." she muttered.
Then she started thinking of how to go about everything.
She just needs to leave the city, but where will she go?
How would she start all over?
Just then, she heard her phone ring.
With a creased brow, she picked it up to see a familiar name.
"Hey babes, how you doing, girlfriend?"
"Jenny." Jenny could not help but notice Ariane's coarse voice.
"A-ariane, are, are you okay?"
"Can I come to your apartment?" Ariane asked in a low tone.
Although Jenny was not entirely sure what was going on, she sensed that her friend needed consolation.
However, how would Ariane travel to her home? They live in different Cities.
"Okay, but-"
"I'm on my way." Ariane said and ended the call.
Ariane then began driving out of the city to the next city after hers, where jenny lives. She just cannot leave the country just yet.
