Chapter 165 - Peeping and Familiarity

The sky was somber and dull.

Xu Si wore a white shirt, her delicate features fading with the light as she stood up and walked to the door, her exposed skin feeling the outside dampness. She turned to look at the cat that would not seek shelter from the rain. After a moment's thought, she finally decided to open an umbrella and walk to its side, tearing open a fish sausage and holding it out from a distance, hoping to entice it to taste.

Before Xu Si could get a clear view of its sorry state, the white cat had already made a move. It quickly stepped forward, gently rubbing its chin against Xu Si's fingers, bringing a tickling sensation, expressing goodwill before nibbling on the white sausage.

After all, Xu Si had been afraid of cats in the past. This affectionate contact made her frown, but unlike before, she didn't dart away, merely watching it cautiously as it ate.
