Butler Ge received permission. He extended his hand and silently pulled open the door, walking all the way to the warm, beautiful white house. There, he placed the basket filled with refreshments and flowers securely on a round wooden table in front of the door. Without giving the surroundings another glance, and with utmost politeness, he turned and walked away.
Having been a butler for most of his life, he was quite accomplished in ensuring people felt a comfortable distance, naturally considering that the other party might not like strangers getting close.
He had taken only two or three steps when a voice came from inside the house. "Wait, please take the return gift with you."
