Faced with Jigglypuff's singing, Ash also felt somewhat overwhelmed and began thinking about how to handle the situation.

Covering his ears didn't seem to make much difference. Jigglypuff's singing appeared to have some kind of penetrating power. Just as he was pondering this, there was a sudden roaring sound in his mind.

As if something had exploded within his brain, the surrounding sounds and images seemed to fade away at that moment. Ash himself paused slightly, feeling something stirring within him.

It seemed that the energy in his body recognized that he wanted to resist the singing, so it mobilized itself to help.

With the blessing of this mysterious power, Ash felt that his mental strength and willpower had been greatly enhanced. Although he could still hear the singing in his ears, he was no longer affected by its hypnotic influence.

At this moment, Jigglypuff was singing in pure ecstasy, eyes closed and completely absorbed in its performance, paying no attention to its surroundings.

It wasn't until Jigglypuff finished the song and looked around that it realized all the Pokémon and people below the hillside had fallen asleep.

"Puff!"

Jigglypuff puffed up its cheeks in annoyance when it saw this scene. It had sung so earnestly, yet everyone who listened to its song had fallen asleep, which was indeed very disappointing.

When it turned its head, Jigglypuff found that Ash was still standing there looking at it. Its expression suddenly changed when it saw that Ash hadn't fallen asleep, appearing quite surprised.

Then, as if it had been deeply wronged, Jigglypuff threw itself at Ash with tears in its eyes and began crying.

"Okay, okay, don't cry. It's all thanks to you this time!" Ash comforted it helplessly when he saw this reaction.

There was nothing they could do about it—Jigglypuff's singing voice was indeed not something that normal people could resist. But fortunately, with its help, the crisis had finally been resolved.

With Ash's gentle comfort, Jigglypuff recovered a little, though it continued to sob quietly.

Fortunately, Ash was still awake, so Jigglypuff didn't go out and draw graffiti on everyone's faces. Otherwise, everyone would probably have been turned into painted cats by now.

Speaking of which, there were so many people and Pokémon here that drawing on all of them would be quite a massive project.

Looking at the situation below, those fossil Pokémon were now peacefully asleep. Now it was time to think about what to do when they eventually woke up.

However, these fossil Pokémon had been sleeping for ages already. After Jigglypuff put them to sleep again, they probably wouldn't wake up so easily.

Ash wasn't in any hurry and sat down next to Charizard, leaning against its warm body and choosing to rest temporarily. The day had been exhausting enough.

About two hours later, some people gradually began to wake up and started calling to others, but they were all being cautious for fear of disturbing the fossil Pokémon around them. No one dared to act rashly in this delicate situation.

Misty and the others also woke up slowly. Everyone was surprised when they saw their surroundings, feeling somewhat confused about what had happened.

Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy looked at the situation around them, exchanged glances, and made the decision to prevent the crowd from leaving the valley just yet.

Ash rejoined Misty and the others. After explaining what had occurred, Gary and the rest learned that it was Jigglypuff's singing that had saved them all, and the group began to cautiously make their way out of the valley.

"Thanks to you this time!"

After learning that Ash had asked Jigglypuff to sing in order to save everyone, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy expressed their heartfelt gratitude.

"It's nothing! It's all thanks to this little one!" Ash replied, raising his head slightly and pointing at Jigglypuff lying on his hat. Hearing Ash's words, Jigglypuff seemed very happy and pleased.

"Puff~~~"

"But what should we do next?" At this moment, Nurse Joy spoke up, looking worriedly back into the valley.

There were so many fossil Pokémon there. Even if they didn't leave Grampa Canyon, people from outside might eventually come looking for them.

"Why not apply to establish a protected area?" After hearing this concern, Ash looked at Nurse Joy thoughtfully.

"Protected area?" Everyone asked in surprise upon hearing Ash's suggestion.

"Yes! With a place like this, if we explain the situation properly, the Alliance should agree to protect it!"

Ash nodded slightly. With so many ancient Pokémon present, if they continued to be left unprotected, although they might not come out to attack humans, humans would certainly try to capture them.

Just like the Dratini in the Safari Zone, this area would definitely face serious problems eventually. Rather than letting that happen, it would be better to protect this place before something bad occurred, similar to how nature reserves work.

"I see! This way, we can ensure both the safety of Trainers and protect the fossil Pokémon!"

After thinking it through, Nurse Joy's eyes lit up. It was indeed an excellent idea to establish a protected area here.

"Then we need to report this to the Alliance as soon as possible!" Officer Jenny also responded quickly to the plan.

Officer Jenny then called in additional police officers to maintain security at the scene and prevent others from entering the valley. Nurse Joy took responsibility for reporting the situation to the Alliance, and Ash and the others were finally ready to leave.

Everyone gathered together, but it was time to part ways again as their journeys diverged.

Green was returning to Pallet Town, the Ash trio planned to continue collecting Gym Badges, and Gary's next destination was Cinnabar Island, so it was time to say goodbye once more.

"Why is it that only Ash managed to catch an Aerodactyl? Damn it!" Gary said with frustration before leaving.

After putting in so much effort, he had never managed to capture one in the end. Meanwhile, Ash had caught an Aerodactyl without even initially trying to capture it, which made Gary feel quite envious.

"That's just how it goes sometimes!" Ash shrugged slightly. This was simply fate at work.

"Damn it, I won't lose next time!" Gary felt even more determined for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Anyway, I still want to thank you this time. We'll take our leave now. See you all later!" Looking at his friends, Gary smiled, then waved his hand and turned to leave.

Seeing his cheerleaders waiting in the car behind him, Gary paused briefly, then continued walking forward after a moment. At this point, Gary's mindset seemed to have undergone some change.

"See you later!" Ash and Green also responded simultaneously, and then Green looked at Ash and the other two.

"Then I'll say goodbye too!" It had been quite a long adventure together, and although she could visit when she returned home, Green was still more accustomed to traveling alone.

"Yeah! Take care of yourself!" Ash replied warmly. Green smiled without saying anything more, then turned and left without any sign of reluctance or sadness.
