Muri looked at Eiji's worried face.
"It's both a complicated and simple matter actually."
Eiji looked at his master.
"Despite the drawbacks of the cursed sword, there are still a lot of merits in using such a sword!"
"Like?!"
Eiji asked, a bit perplexed.
"Like.. I told you, Muramasa Cursed swords were initially created to be magic swords.
In fact, Muramasa Goro, the legendary swordsmith, had created hundreds of swords in his lifetime.
It was said that he was obsessed with becoming the greatest swordsmith and take the title of God of sword smithing that the Great Duke had always been called at.
Muramasa Goro actually wanted to create a Divine sword like the Masamune, Zulqifar, Kusanagi and Excalibur Divine Swords.
So he poured his entire body and soul in order to create one.
This meant that most of his swords were of the highest quality and Souruītā was one of them.
Of the hundreds of swords he created, most fell short of the category of Magic sword, this is also the reasonthat the reinforced swords category was created.
Swords that were of the highest quality yet could not become a magic sword."
Eiji nodded his head as listened.
He found the story of Muramasa Goro quite interesting, even the issue of Lime was swept at the back of his mind.
Right now, he was like back in his school days listening and learning everything he comes upon with.
"Even in his peak, Muramasa Goro was only able create 3 Magic swords. And the other seven were known as the Muramasa Cursed swords.
Cursed swords are.. simply put... Created to become a magic sword, had a defect in the process or the materials itself or the refinement and rituals it had gone through, making these swords very strong but have great drawbacks that could even kill the user!
These swords were incredibly of high quality. The materials that were used even lead to one that had once ordered to Muramasa Goro to become very bankrupt in the end.
Although until the end of his lifetime, Muramasa Goro, like any great swordsmiths, were never able to create a Divine sword, but he was the only one to ever come close, though it was by miles and miles away!"
Muri sighed as he thought about this.
It wasn't just Muramasa Goro who was obsessed with creating a Divine sword. Throughout history, hundreds and thousands of swordsmiths dreamt of creating such a divine weapon.
But Muramasa could also be said to be one of those that nearly achieved it.
Out of all of them, he was the only person that had created the most magic swords and even the most cursed swords in the history.
"So this leads us to one thing, Lime's sword is very valuable because of its history.
Another thing is that, the sheer high quality of materials that were used to create Souruītā, made that sword very durable.
It has even been said that it had once cut a Magic sword in half!
That type of durability and sharpness from a sword created 700 plus years ago, is something that is truly rare and a waste to just be an ornamental sword."
Eiji nodded his head as he understood.
Even so, in his mind, no matter how durable or sharp that sword was, it doesn't change the fact that it was something that brings harm to its weilder.
Muri noticed Eiji's frown but did not say anything.
He smiled and said.
"Alright! For now, you should rest, you had just arrived from your mission and still recovering from your injuries.
And tomorrow, you still have to report about Renji's Situation, so go get some rest.
I will go to the market and look for some good quality meat!"
"Alright! Thank you master!"
Eiji stood up and bowed to his master.
Muri waved his hand.
"No need, go rest for now!"
"Hmm!"
Acknowledging his order, Eiji went back inside the house and rest.
Muri looked at Eiji's back.
He just smiled in silence. Over the years, he had been very proud of this disciple of his.
He did not get into any trouble. He was always diligent. Always keeping his calm and assessing the situation.
He had matured early. But the situation of Renji and now Lime, brought out his instability and concern for those that he cared about.
This makes Muri happy knowing that Eiji had someone other than him that he cares about.
